Depending on the Solar Furnace (if you have one) the colors are defined. A normal GN Drive emits Yellow-green Particles and Pink Beams. A GN-Drive Tau (basic) Emits red Particles and Beams. The Golden ones from the Alvatore were just painted in some way, but basically the same as the normal GN-Drive Tau. The later GN-Drive Tau then had orange Particles, which weren't poisonous anymore, like the previous GN-D.Tau. And Solar Powered Suits mostly had Blue Beams.
