I know I know it's another Setsuna MS but this one is truly special.
You don't see many people using it and that's why you should be the one to pick it up!
It's a really fun MS but not exactly easy to play, so hopefully, this will give you some idea where to start!

I like how Setsuna calls for Saji when the 00 goes Raiser mode. It's also horrifying to think that Saji is dragged around high speed with Setsuna lmao.

00R, the reason why I don't use it that much is because it's high risk and low return. If you compare it to other Setsuna Gundams, Full Saber can perform a whole combo while overheat, 00Q have a big sword that gain you melee priority, Exia is low cost with a lot of high sky moves and the damage output is excellent, Seven Sword is a hard pick but safe with its weapons.
Now, look at 00R, it is not trash but it got the most awkward position out of all the Setsuna Gundams, which is why literally no one use it (out of all my gaming buddies who participated multiple competition). Even as a noob like myself, 00R is easier to counter than the rest. You can focus on running and burn its burst/Raiser mode, double team the 00 Gundam form, or use your suits advantage to shut it down (V2's AB form, Destiny's WOL, or when 00R is closing into you, I can even counter with Hyaku-Shiki's 2B)
Now, I use Zabanya, Hyaku Shiki, DX and X2, 00R is not really a problem unless you panic or don't treat the raiser mode seriously, I only lost to pro 00R

Full Saber isn't merely low risk
It's just straight up busted (especially in MB ON where its CSa has independent tracking for all three rounds) and insanely difficult to deal with (impossible to cut if it decided to quantumtize cut-in which it's completely invincible, CSa could cut into AB, has gerobi or harp gun that's difficult to dodge), not to mention the absolutely ridiculous BC options
The only real thing it lacks is a bunny hop option but only Exia has that and Exia doesn't nearly have as much breaking power FS has
That thing is fucking satanic to deal with especailly if you're a melee unit as that thing simply had too much toys it could screw with you
00 is just not represented well in these games imo. The 00 is treated in the show as an incomplete suit--even a defective one--without the 0 Raiser, not a backpack switcher. They should have a permanent non-form-changing 00 Raiser as a proper 3000. If they really want, then they could put the basic 00 with no backpack as a 2500.
When they changed the melee moveset of 00 Gundam, i like 00 Gundam even more. And just like you said in video, it was challenging to survive in 00 gundam with limited ranged and lower mobility.
You get a free pass because this is my favorite Setsuna.

00 was so good they had to make trans-am a burst and sword III a timed power-up, remove omnislash, change his assist and make micromissle a CS. All that just to balance It out, damn.
Not to mention the butchered Raiser Sword
One of the weirdest things for EXVS series is that the OO raiser is an MS who is good at CQB in the anime while in the game itself it becomes an MS who is always doing a lot of shooting. You can even use shooting burst in EXVS2 or XB. This is the reason why I don't like using OO raiser. However, you made a very good showcase!

I actually get to try the EXVS2 version and even though I wasn't very good at it, they made it easier for you to go ham with melee this time around.
Shoot + range focus is still the better strat for it, however.
00 Raiser is associated with melee because of Setsuna's fighting style, but in the anime it has a very strong presence as a shooter, even being noted for having the same firing range as the Gadessa's GN Mega Launcher without the charge time. Throw in that it could one-shot a battleship from a safe distance or shoot a space station down while on Earth and it makes sense to position the 00R as a shooter in EXVS. The swords weren't what made 00R dangerous. (The same also applies for the 00 Qan[T], which is entirely a shooting MS in the movie despite having nothing but "swords".)
In the show 00 *_Gundam_* is still pretty melee-focused, at least with the way Setsuna used it. Then 00 *_Raiser_* came along, and other than its debut battle where its GN Sword II Rifle Mode still behaved like 00 Gundam's (low powered with weird beam projectiles), it is quite consistently portrayed as a powerful medium-long range suit that is still incredibly dangerous up close.

I haven't really caught onto the utility of Raiser CSA, mostly because it feels a bit awkward to me and I know it's not really used to deal damage but I defer to sub over it a lot of the time, especially when I need to cover my landings or just to have a slower moving projectile to save me from getting melee'd. Besides I tend to spam CSB more often than not.
You use csa to free fall and keep yourself safe, doing 2b-step-2b (without releasing very quick)-csa grants you a lot of momentum for the free fall which always helps. I found 00 raiser csa (attack wise) to be weaker than legilis', it feels a bit weird and less accurate for some reason (maybe it's just how the gerobi visually comes out, which seems to be different in vs2)
This. I feel like I catch more people with Raiser CSB due to the missile's tracking and coverage. Although I end up with a playstyle that's more support based and not using most of the other tools the suit has to offer. I'm so much more comfortable with suits that have special movement options and more freefall.

Ya, 00 is one of the few suits that feels like a bit of a downgrade compared to its Next iteration. I suppose the idea of having a depowered mode does add gameplay variety, but 00 Raiser never feels quite strong enough to compensate for regular 00 mode. Trans Am is the only time I find this suit super scary.
Coming from Next Plus, 00R being a timed-upgrade unit in EXVS instantly turned me off and made me look elsewhere for other suits to play.

Hey Minato, I am training my V2 and X1 Kai/X1 FC recently, why don't you give us a V2 showcase? Cause I don't really know the position after the AB mode
I'm still figuring out V2 myself, I plan to make a proper showcase for it eventually!
@@MinatoVersus I used V2 for sometime now, what I will do is to rush at the beginning with my AB. If I get knocked down or the situation is not allowing me to rush, I will purge the AB and switch to A, which have good self defense and good damage output.
For B, I will use it during S burst if my AB is not up yet. Or I will use the SUB AND BC to do a wake up pressure. Then, use the 2B and protect myself from melee suits.
During burst, I will use AB first. If no AB, I will A or B to shoot both opponents. Then when the enemy is not looking or doing stupid melee rush, hit ABC and end game. Hope it helps
I feel like I've played against this suit less then 5 times total in all my time playing online. Too many better/easier Setsuna's to choose from. Loved the showcase though
the last match... i recall you said Blitz + Duel is a real comp. what's the logic behind the comp?
Duel + Blitz can somewhat defend themselves against higher cost in 1v1 engagement
If they can survive long enough, the more buster assist Duel can use per spawn/match and it's pretty strong
