Re: Sleep Apnea... it's not your body TRYING to Game Over, it's trying hard to "I STILL HAVE 1 HP!"; we happen to snore harder because the body is forcing the clogged air tubes open (one way or another) to furnish the lungs with that much needed oxygen for the rest of the body (particularly the brain that needs it for proper sleep).

I think the reason some JP vtubers do the whole pacifier role play is a demographic thing. This is just my hypothesis but I think it's because Japan has a large number of elderly people who would love to spend money on their grandchildren. Population decline statistics make me infer that some elders see vtubers online as cute grandchildren that they want to spoil. It could act as therapy for them.
Then again this is my seiso take on things, I remember in the Yakuza game series there were other connotations to pacifiers.

I'm actually glad less Vtubers are eating on stream, not because of the eating, but because you quickly find out if they're the type of person to chew with their mouth open. Gross.
Not sure the temperature of this take but when it comes to corpotubers I can't stand superchat reading streams, like I feel bad they put themselves through that 💀
At best, it feels like a sponsored stream: the streamer must read certain prescribed messages (aside from the troublesome ones), but at least they can then respond more or less how they want.
At worst, it's a glorified NPC stream. "You pay some amount to do a thing to make me say something, I respond accordingly." Not that different.
Personally, I don't really enjoy "just chatting" anyway, so superchat streams are boring non-streams I ignore on principal. I'll stick with the clips, thanks all the same.
If I was a streamer, I'd feel bad about not getting to everyone's messages that they paid money to send me, but if it was a lot, reading them out in the middle of the actual stream would be kinda tedious and disruptive. So I kinda get it, but I also really do not want to watch that kind of thing and would rather get the good bits in clip form.
Depends. Some are very mechanical, some it's basically a zatsu/tangent/reflection/Q&A stream. It a very timing x community dependent thing.
So don't watch them. They are some of my favorite, and I don't even super chat.
