Its great to see Tetel on your clips ,she is an amazing vtuber and us homies all love her so its great to see her getting some recognition, she is improving her english everyday and has progressed so much and we are all very proud of her,i hope anyone who watches this video will go and check Tetel out because she deserves the love ,thankyou for featuring her in this video 👌
I saw a clip of her early on that was very heart warming, literally brought a tear to my eye. She was testing out the English learning book that hololive put out with the Myth girls. He reaction was so adorable.
I also look forward to her daily diary post :)
@@edrimuspage9667 I think alot of people saw her clip of her buying that hololive audio book and understanding the English words and crying with joy that she could understand some of the words after trying so hard to learn some English, your right it was so heartwarming to see I know I had a few tears watching her and seeing how happy that made her feel, sometimes it's the smallest things that can make the most impact 👍
That’s literally the clip that made me sub to tetel, such a sweet and hardworking girl
@@ShatteredWolves0625 💯% she really does work hard communicating with us all and its always fun but you dont need me to tell you that being a fellow homie lol
Homie strong
As a Sanallite, I wasn't expecting to see a little Sanallite bread dog on a small indie vtuber stream (Tetel) but it was a cute little surprise to see
Tetel is great fun ,she is learning english and we are all helping her as much as we can, she has improved so much over the last few months and works so hard,i hope if you ever get chance you will check her out because we absolutely adore her 👍
6:48 for those just now discovering Tetel, she is a Japanese streamer that has gone on an English learning arc so she can understand her Oshis like Gura and Calli. She is very chill, and spends lots of time with her Homies. Playing games like GTA5 in English, bought HoloListen the Japanese to English learning book/bundle.
She is like us with Japanese or Indonesia Oshis!! We just want to understand and enjoy their streams! Check her out!
Caked up = Rear
Bricked up = Front
It all makes sense now...
Ah, the teenagers outside the window episode. Already a classic.
Thank you for reacting to Tetel! She is such a sweet person, and all us flower homies are proud that she’s getting a bigger following thanks to people like you and Nagzz. I’m a fan of your stuff as well, and seeing my Tetel clip pop up in this video was probably the biggest shock I’ve experienced in a while lol. Keep on being the wonderful person you are!
👌
Kobo's mom barge into Hakka and shinri stream when they visited Indonesia (using Kobo's Studio)
Hope your mods get you the clip
This clip has so much unfiltered mom energy.
@@dragonbretheren this? So which one? What sentence? I'm native speaker I don't see any unfiltered Kobo's mom video
classic overdose of hospitality
@@sosis123 I mean the clip you mentioned of Kobo's mom barging in on the boys is purest display of "mom displaying mom qualities"
@@dragonbretheren old traditional based mom is better describe her rather than unfiltered, well either way it was a wholesome
Tetel is a lot of fun, her English is so much better now and in a short time.
Her most classic clip is about the Hololistening book. 10/10.
I love that, “Koro-san!! Do the thing!!” Is already funny in its own way, but also that Korone is already just funny by being there, makes everyone laugh!
I know exactly what Mel is talking about and her explanation was still confusing somehow 💀
She's correct, but that doesn't mean she's right
Mel was quite nervous you can tell for her voice
That's every time she tried to explain something, welcome to Mel-sensei Course 😅
Mel is adorkable defined
The Holomoms got my man Koe bricked up
I read that as “The Holodomor” and was really concerned about it.
@@DeltaEntropywhat would that even mean?
@@TOBY-jy7bz “The Holodomor got my man Koe bricked up.”
@@DeltaEntropy I don't know what holodomor is
@@TOBY-jy7bz It was a famine in Ukraine that was deliberately made much, much worse by Stalin, because they were being generally uncooperative and rebellious.
When Mel was trying to think of a Japanese word with more than one meaning, the first one that immediately jumped to mind for me was 'kami'. It can mean 'god', or 'paper', or 'hair'... those are the three I know of, but I'm pretty sure there's even more meanings.
Someone in the chat mentioned that too
I love everything about the first clip!
How worried everyone got over Mio's hiccups.
Okayu's cool confidence in explaining how to get rid of them then unloading all the responsibility onto Korone to say something funny on the spot.
And the fact that everyone laughs without Korone even having to say anything!
Also shout out to Tetel! More clips of her please! She's worked really hard on her english and is bridging a pretty major language barrier. She deserves more attention!
Also She's a huge Hololive EN fan, and thats part of the reason she learned English!
Also ALSO, shout out to Henya, she's also been working on her english and deserves many headpats..
5:09 - Wait... why does that VA sound like Lord Aethelstan?
----
5:28 - Yeah, I'm hearing Aethel's voice there. If it's not him, it's a sound-alike.
----
9:23 - Oh yeah, every Holo-momma I've heard so far, it's impossible to deny they're the actual mom. You can hear so much of where the talents have got their mannerisms from.
to stop hiccups :
First, hold your breath 30 minutes...
💀
TETELLLLL ❤ I fuckin love her and her diaries!
👍
You can feel Zen face palming the whole time while Mel try to explain what she means
A Computer and a Toaster confuse and give a headache to a Genius, so she calls for the Devil for help.
A genius kettle.
12:57 my lord man Vshojo on the Ball. i may have some issues with some of the ways they do things but i can say they seem to be a very good management agency
VShojo is just absolute chaos.
I want to believe that Mousey was there the entire time but chose to stay muted.
TETEL!!!!!
🌸👍
Tetel love
🙌🙌
Nice tie, bro.
marine just had her dad on stream today
Holo dad let's gooo!!!
18:47 the answer to a very long punchline 🤣🤣🤣
mel is the loodest wholesome person in the world
Tetel Sanalite?
Zen, agent of chaos! 😂
Omg. Henya is losing so much innocents and its so funny. Anytime Henya and Melody are together 😂
19:00 They could have also talked about an ancient ancestor to humans, the Homo Erectus.
I felt Henya didn't put safe search filter on her Google search 😅
Henya is a gift
Koe waiting for the opportunity to ask for MamaRat to collab
At around 13:00 in the video, i love how Koe is yapping away while chat is have a different conversation on their own
Yes the chat interaction is quite funny always
Love all the mama holo coming, but one i look forward to is, marine's dad showing up
0:20 One sure way to cure hiccups is to remind yourself you are not a fish. Courtesy from our Dad Reaper
... didn't that unexpectedly actually Work for no apparent reason? or am I misremembering?
@@laurencefraser It did. Even I tried it.... it did...
Is Tetel a Sanallite??
13:09 henya watched this part and reacted to the clip of this part, she confirmed what Koe said about translation and also being nervous
Poor Astel 😂
Yeahh Rubee :)
I got worried about Mio hiccup...
Cause sometimes it'd lead to something else and I might get a flashback
I wonder if they’ve already sent him a clip with Hakkamama?
the not a fish method still peak
Deadass during the tetel spider clip a spider decided to crawl up the wall next to my bed
Koe enjoying holomoms so much he accepted my submission despite hearing Bae's mom before. I call this a win
Legit got hiccups as soon as i started this video, but i did the tongue pull trick
The bad thing when I try to hold in my breath to get rid of hiccups is that I hiccup while trying to hold in my breath.
If you Only hold your breath it can take a few attempts, hence why they were trying to get her to laugh as well (uses the same muscles differently).
"Waga tamashi...JDON MY SOUL😭🙏🏻"
My god I love Melody. She is such a holesome dork. Yes, I spelled that correctly.
Ahh the good old English language where every single word has synonyms and antonyms and has many different meanings depending on the context of how you use it. Good luck learning!
FIRST DAYO
There is a mistake in the GG ad, its not waifu, its Koe's future wife... Sick cup BTW
I have a feeling the whole conversation between Henya and Mel wen't over peoples and Koe's heads.
Listen guys! When Mel says "An erection", because she say's it so fast and without pause between "an" and "erection", to non native English speaking People, which includes Henya obviously, it sounds very much like she say's "interaction".
What Henya hears sounds literally like something according to "annyrection" to be blunt, so when Henya proceeds to detangle those mashed up word sounds, "Interaction" is what sounds closest to what Mel is actually saying.
The miscommunication problem is:
For Mel:
A: The missing short pause in-between "an" and "erection" in order for Henya to understand that those two words are separate.
For Henya:
B: The fact that she hears acoustically only one word of similar sound to "Interaction" and automatically assumes due to Mel's "dialect" or "accent" that the "T" in "Interaction" gets lost and becomes inaudible.
Example:
Standard English:
The Intersection on the street.
With an accent: (Let's say heavy "Texan" accent)
The Innersection on the street.
At least this is what initially lead to the miscommunication. Now Mel's explanation as to what "erect" or "to erect" means, with Henya still misunderstanding "an erection" as "interaction", causes only more confusion for the poor little oblivious Henya.
It also doesn't help that there is that L and R issue (with R not really existing in some Asian languages), foremost in the Japanese language. That's the moment when "erection" becomes "election".
EDIT: For Henya to understand double meaning: instead of momo, the best example would be "Kin" and "Kintama".
For non aware foreigners: Kintama = Golden Balls.
Pick up the golden balls in a game for bonus points (innocent right?).
Contextual meaning = A man's jewels.
Kick him in the kintama and it will hurt a lot.
In general Kintama is almost always contextualized to describe that specific gender part, which is why it's almost taboo to ever use it to substitute the description of legitimate golden coloured or made of gold spherical (round) objects in a conversation (despite that being exactly what it means with "Kin" meaning Gold and "Tama" being round objects or shapes like balls or spheres).
Moral of the Story: Beware of how fast you speak and be aware of your accent, because new words can become extremely hard to understand for non native English speakers and easily confused acoustically with similar sounding words or phrases
Erection is slang (or I guess innuendo?). It relies on inferring you mean raising something very specific, it’s not a separate definition per say
I think it would be a separate definition, because it's a context change and the meaning is the same proper meaning and not indirect or reference, nor subtle to be innuendo or euphemism. You're leaving off being specific with a defining adjective, it is otherwise the proper term. Could argue that defining adjective would be redundant, because of the rest of the sentence's context.
That particular context is maybe the most popular use of the noun form of the word instead of the verb. The other terms Melody got into are euphemisms and innuendo, the term for Roosters.
Using it as innuendo or euphemism would probably be actually referring to that specific male context in other contexts to make some implication beyond the literal meaning for other biological parts.
The sentence structure of "have/has a" might be the slang/innuendo component, rather than the term itself.
heloooooorrrrr
synonyms are very confusing, hell, theyre even confusing in your first language, specially when slang gets involved
The fun thing about English synonyms is that in school you're told that they 'mean the same thing'... and then usually left to figure out on your own that they actually only mean the same thing in the loosest sense because they either only share a meaning in one gramatical form (say, they both have verb forms that mean the same thing, but one of them has an adjective form but no noun form, and the other has a noun form but no adjective form, or they both have noun forms but while the Verbs mean the same thing, the nouns Really don't), or their meanings only Overlap rather than being identical, so they're synonomous in some contexts but not others, or they have wildly different connotations or implications that can make one perfectly reasonable and neutral while another comes off as threatening, or overly familiar, or implies something very unfortunate or unflattering about someone, etc. despite having the same Literal meaning.
And yeah, that's before getting slang or the particularly obscure idioms involved.
(oh, and people who get annoyed at how indirect some east asian langauages can be should stop and have a look at how people normally speak in English when they're not actively trying to be rude or clinical (at least when there's not a clear context making direct orders the expected interaction): Idiom and euphemism everywhere, talking around topics, it's almost always 'would you mind doing X please?' rather than 'please do X', and so on and so forth.)
1:30... okayu explains it later but the idea is that hiccups come from your diaphragm spasming... so by filling your lungs with air and then constricting your stomach muscles you stop that spasming... it does work... i thought this was common knowledge thou...
14:58... to erect... to build something up(contruction?)... this is the context that mel is using it right now...
to erect... to stand up(s*xual)...
brick up... something stop working or got damaged internally (in tech)...
brick up... to get erected....(s*xual)...
15:12... yes... in the terms of the meaning of the word erect... yeah... you erected yourself................. >_>.............
When you talk about a Person being erect it can mean that they are standing upright and with good posture, phrased in certain ways it can mean that they are a morally upstanding person, or... it can mean that they have an erection (in the 'human anatomy' sense). Now, it's very obvious when the intent is 'morally upstanding', but it's entirely possible to phrase things such that it is Very ambiguous as to which of the other two is the intended meaning, at least in the absence of appropriate context.
I'm not entirely sure that the verb form of erect can actually be used reflexively like that ("you errected yourself"), or at least, it's not the normal phrasing... the more natural way of phrasing it is "you became erect"... exactly the same as if we were talking about the specific piece of anatomy rather than the whole body. There's a Reason people don't actually use this sense of the word much (well, that, and we have other phrasing that's just generally less of a pain even without the inuendo aspect).
420th like
Man, Melody is messed up. Bricked Up is a slang. Many words have double or more meaning. And from these, definitions whether verb or noun, fits into innuendo, so they become slangs.
Melody is very bad at explaining things and the way her cadence is doesn't help her.
You pay people to come pick up after your dog? That has to be the laziest most American thing I've heard in a long time
Sounded more like 'I could do the job myself... but there's kids who want money and are willing to do something useful to get it, and I have enough spare money to pay them an amount that's reasonable for doing this fairly simple job, so why not?'. And that's pretty common in lots of places, at least if you live somewhere where you can actually interact with the neighbourhood kids without it being a disaster.
