    I've got this and all Of the attachments are awesome. Very solid!. My only complaint is that if you have all of the extensions attached it's way to heavy to use. I'm 6ft1 and 140kg and even I struggled to take down palm branches.

    i just got the same saw ,i was very impressed with the 65cc powerful engine everything works well for what i need ,the thing i don't like is if you attach all the extensions its bloody heavy i mean really heavy my arms were killing that night ,but for the price its good value .

    I just had shoulder surgery so a mate of mine did my hedge with his second hand well abused baumr ag pole hedger,did a bloody great job I was so impressed I bought the same one an smx220 with the hedger and chainsaw head,brand new delivered $189!im not up to using it yet but its unpacked and although its cheap the finish is great and such value,ill never wear it out doing the hedge every few months,my mates a lawn mower garden tidy guy and uses his all the time!one tip though is replace the spark plug with an NGK brand any cheap machine comes with some weird brand spark plug,also run 25:1 first tank then 32:1,youll get less smoke.

    Great demo mate! Got this 7-1 beast and finally used it after 3 years since I bought it! It rocks! One things is that the trim lines ran out quickly and quite hesitant to use the rotary blades. Can you do more video using the other features? Thanks!

    I put mine together and pulled the cord, it started fine but went full revs and I needed to turn it off. Nothing I do to it will stop the high revs. I will be on the phone to Edisons to find out what to do.

    I have a Baumr - AG unit. On mine, where the alloy pole connects with the clutch housing (that fits to the engine), there is quite a bit of movement (where the rubber cover/damper is). When started on the ground, it revs at a speed, then when picked up it changes rev range (revs increase), because, I believe due to the lack of snug fitment of pole to clutch housing. After removing the clutch housing (+ pole) from the engine body, I have took out the cir clip, rubber damper/cover and pole connector piece, from the clutch housing and wrapped it (connector piece) with layers of teflon tape, then layered with self fusing tape. I then put the rubber damper back over the connector, and pushed, tapped/banged with a plastic head mallet, the connector/rubber into place, in the housing, to a nice snug fit. This of course took a bit of time getting it all back together, but it has solved excess movement and the engine ending up almost 90 degrees sideways, when power is throttled up. Also wrapped the splined inner shaft with teflon tape (not too much though) because it was worn, and I believe it is the particular design of the joining components, i've mentioned, that contributed to inner shaft wear. The later produced models e.g - SMX720, may have an improved design/build quality. I have the CN19071 model (S/N - 0048), bought late 2013, I think.

    Can i buy the chainsaw attatchment and extension bars on their own?
    I have the CVB760 concrete vibrator which has a 65cc 2 stroke engine. Will the attatchments fit this?

    Hi Michael I found The problem with this pole saw it just got to,wear in I found it works realy well I had a problem with the pole saw At first as I could not get the oil pump to work it was because I was using the thick Valvoline bar oil it good stuff but it realy thick Ederions advise me to mix 50/50 kerosene and the bar oil then it started to work My problem was that after a while the chain keep running dry and keep coming off. I also l found the chain sprocket was half a mm out of round so with ever revolution it was tighten and loosening the chain. when the chain finely screech even with adjustment t would come off. But the last time it come off it bent the chain. And damage the bar The oil pump was still not working right So Edersions sent me a replacement gear box bar and chain. But While I was waiting I started to work on the oil pump. What I did was to put the Valvoline bar oil in it removed the bar and chain and just run it to the oil started come out after a while it started to work with the thick bar oil and it still works find now it just needed a bit of ruining in. when I got this I bought two spare chains. So I have since been running it with the spare chain and with the oil pump now going. even with the out of line sprocket it seem to be sawing OK. If you get one of these the engine is big 65 cc four horse power engine there are motor bike with four hose power engines So its a big engine and will will take time to run it in. With mine till it did it use to run a bit rough it will do this to it wears in all the problems with it can be solve after has to be run for a month or so

      I got the same problem. No bar oil coming to the chain making chain dry and skip every 5 mins ..did you end up finding a better solution for this?

    I've just received my pole tool and used it with the bump grass trimmer, however when I tried to remove the attachment (turning to the right), I found it would not budge, what can I do keeping in mind that I do not want to cause any damage to the pole tool.

    Quinton i've got a BTR600 Wheeled Brush Cutter and have lost the kit it came with. Do you know if I need a special lug/nut to fix the cutting disc on instead of the bump line feeder.

    Hi Quinton Humphreys, I'm looking to buy one of these things and came across your very helpful video from 3 years back. One of the main things I want to use apart from the saw and hedgetrimmer is the lawn edger bit which unfortunately you didn't show in action. Do you still have the unit/do you recall if this edger thing did a good job? Interesting to see this unit has pretty much 5 stars from lots of reviews but there are plenty of comments here of issues (but mostly minor I guess)

    • @quintin79
      @quintin79  4 года назад +1

      Lawn trimmer was used to clear the ferns from the rocks. fell to pieces and scattered springs and parts all over the lawn, didn't bother replacing. To be honest this thing is only good for it's extension capabilities and the saw/hedger that's about it. If you want something that you will love don't buy Chinese. I have Stihl chainsaw and hedger and they are superior by magnitudes of light years

    From the 14:30 min onwards there is so much smoke coming out of the machine. Now that you’ve had time to use it more, is it always like that or did you just get the fuel to oil ratio wrong the first time?

    • @quintin79
      @quintin79  6 лет назад

      1-its a cheap chinese 2 stroke, there will be smoke
      2-its being used at low revs, usually makes a 2 stroke choke up a bit more
      3-lighting is just right for smoke reflection compared to other clips making it look worse
      4-it works fine, really

    Hey...any tips on using the saw with the extentions. I attached them and have a few concerns...
    A. It's very floppy
    B. How do you even get it up there as with the length it's not really counter weighted. I'm worked once the branch comes down...the saw will come down too.
    What's the point of having the extensions if you can't counter balance it. Or am I missing something...I thought of making an A frame to mount it onto

    • @RG-lh8xb
      @RG-lh8xb 2 года назад

      one tip would be have an extra person helping lift from the ground with two hands about half way down the extension, they can spot as you cut and when the cut is done slowly lower it back into their hands so they can guide it back down at about half way again. tedious/strenuous on your own, but any safe sort of method with the extension should be done with a spotter/extra set of hands

    There is another big washer; when to use it and when not to use it? I noticed you did not use it while attaching whipper snipper bum head. Any reason for that?

    I have purchased this exact one and I am having trouble with the headge trimmer attachment as it always gets jammed. I assume it happens when it cuts something thick but the james in the axel causing me to take the axel out and resit it in the gear box on the trimmer end. Any suggestions or anyone else having the same issue able to shine some light on how to stop this from happening?

      That's a switch replacement. Or you can replace the entire handle assembly, with throttle, switch, cable and wires for about $10.00 USD from eBay, takes about 5 minutes to change over.
