I am still using my older Scofield and now find I need a large print. Mine is 1989 New King James and the font size is likely 8 point for the text and 7 or a tad less in the notes. I love this Bible and even though I have to spit out the sticks from time to time, I really enjoy this Bible. The cover says genuine leather but is coming apart on me. Fortunately, it's seen so the pages are intact. I have used a great deal of clear Scotch tape on torn edges here and there throughout the text so I believe it's time I try to find a newer, larger one. And, it will be very educational for me to transfer my notes from the old to the new!
Scofield bible III kjv is the granddaddy of bibles that provide some word meanings for archaic words. But I find parallel bibles like kjv-nkjv and kjv-mev more useful for explaining the archaic words in the kjv. Other translations of the textus receptus like jubilee bible, kj3 of jay p green, literal standard version are probably also useful for explaining the archaic words in the kjv.
I've been looking for a nos black letter 1985 NIV study Bible in genuine leather without success. Mine is falling apart, and the pen I used over the years bled through the pages.
Hi Pastor. Thank you for this review. I just ordered the Scofield KJV III and then I was wondering. What Bible can I drive around in my car? I know any book doesn't like sun light, but even if you keep it in the glove compartment, the car heats up a lot in the summer time. So, what type of Bible, binding and cover wise, will be a good option to drive around with? Thank you for all the great reviews.
It is SRB IV: 1909, 1917, 1967, 2002 wud be IV. Is this called III becs the 2002 changed the KJV obscure words to understandable words, but 2002 leave old KJV in?
I supposed they still have whom "he" had set at liberty at their pleasure instead of Canbridge's whom "ye" had set at liberty at their pleasure in Jeremiah 34:16.Did they retain comment on Genesis 1:2 on the gap theory? But I will follow your suggestion when it comes to some things one disagrees with but benefits outweigh the ones you disagree "eat the meat and spit out the bones".
That's disappointing well I suppose the folks in Oxford Publisher agree with the Gap theory. In that case I will stick with my KJV Ryrie Study Bible because it is premil, pretrib like the Scofield Study Bible III.Thanks for this video because the questions I have before buying this Bible have been answered.
Replete with Christian Z....sm that is full of idolatry. Don't even know where to begin in dispelling the lies. Many in the last days will be pulled into false worship of IS.
I always look forward to Pastor Steve’s videos. They’re so informative, fair minded, engaging, and positive.

I wanted more comparison w/ 1967 NSRB.

of course the Bible says the nation of Israel will be gathered together again, it already happened at the end of WW2
