One thing about us king James only folks is we are miss represented. It’s a textual issue for us . We are textus receptus only. Much more accurate description. Scofield study bible almost every baptist I know has at least one. It’s a must have for old school fundamentalists . Thanks for a great review I have been waiting for this We will probably buy at least 2 hopefully 4 to six. Lol
I know a few KJV only folks who are kind and gracious about it… but based just on the comments I get on my channel from very harsh and unkind people, I’d say the stereotype has at least some validity.
@@timwildsmith yes, unfortunately I dabbled in KJV Only for most of my twenties and figured out that at least the IFB teachers I was following, it became very cult-like. The likes of Bryan Denlinger (Born Again Barbarian) and Greg Miller (bbfohio - Bible Believer's Fellowship).
I'm recently trying to "return" to the faith, but unfortunately I'm having trouble and now I recently discovered that John Nelson Darby and Scofield were responsible for most of the Rapture doctrine and dispensational teaching. Even DL Moody jumped on board this train of thought. How can I trust these people? It all kind of ruined my faith in God, and I certainly don't want to go to hell over this issue
I like the KJB because I have to slow my reading. I read other Bibles and I read them like a novel, way to fast.
Now THAT is TRULY a Classic . . . taken up to Eleven!!

Interesting bible I lean dispensational with a few caveats so I appreciate the scofield. And grew up KJVO but would love one of these In the nasb

Beautiful Bible. Really classic and classy. And the full yapp - lovely 🥰 Only my Allans have those. The basic text pages remind me of the Longprimer.

Really nice looking Bible, but one thing that gets me with a lot of wide margin Bibles is the narrow gutter. I’d rather see a narrower outside margin that brings the text further onto the page. Great review though and as I said, apart from the gutter issue it looks great!

Tim, I just ordered the wide margin KJV from their store. Am I the only guy, though, who finds these older fonts harder to read? I know Zondervan has that comfort print, and I find the Milo in my Schuyler Bibles a dream to read. For me it doesn't seem to be a question of 'cleaned up' vintage print, it just seems harder and slower to read. Best wishes from Texas!
With the Bible's size, cover, and nice paper are the pages easily creased while using the Bible. I am curious since you had so much "trouble" during the unboxing. Reminded me of me. :)
I’m not a KJVO guy at all, and Scofield isn’t up my alley, but I picked up a Scofield Bible a few years ago for the historical value. It’s not in my rotation, but I love having it in the library.
The KJV is an important part of my faith heritage, and it is for many others as well. I have a deep respect for that. I’ve been looking at adding a really nice KJV to my collection, and I’ll definitely check out the KJV Store. Thanks for the tip!
(As a side note, when you live in Utah it helps to be familiar with the KJV. I have friends and family that are members of the LDS church, and anything that isn’t KJV is a non-starter for discussions with them.)

Old school King Jimmy with Jongbloed quality? Its almost a goatskin bound Longprimer for the price of calfskin bound...WITH a full yapp (though I see there will be a full yapp with the next run of Canterburys...). Very desirable for the KJV reader 😁

What is your understanding of the Cypher Bible?
I don't know much about it... just what I saw in Tim Nickels' videos.
I like how when you showed off this bible that the filded edges looked immaculate ... completely flawless.. in the plating... I have NEVER received a vivle from ANY publisher... THE KJV STORE... EVANGELICAL BIBLES.. you name it... NO where/... has ANY bible EVER come to me with out either lines.. blotches.. off shading.. or some other flaw in the edging. I HAVE gotten bibles with some immaculate ribbons though... but even on top notch premium bibles I have received the stitching has been messed up... it's like they want to send out all their FLAWED copies to guys like me... since they know I won't review their flawed bible and give them a bad name......
I'm not the biggest fan of the KJV, but that's a lovely Bible.

If Evengelicals knew the History and funding behind the Schofield, they would likely still follow it blindly, and to the detriment of all Humanity. I own one, and use it for comparison to older Protestant Editions...pre Schofield....and also in comparison with the writings of Martin Luther and John Calvin. The Evangelical Sects have been duped in countless ways, by very un-Christian Powers, sadly. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unwavering support for a bloodthirsty Genocidal Nation is NOT going to get anyone Raptured, or into Heaven. That said....it IS a very well put together study aid in many ways...far easier than having to refer to Concordance and Apocrypha, let alone learning to read Greek, Latin and Chaldean.
It takes a special kind of person to write a comment like this, cutting invective against other believers without actually saying anything of relevance to the topic at hand. It’s seriously obnoxious.
