  • My doctor did warn me that after brain tumour surgery simple tasks would make me tired. Here's my experience and what I do to minimise fatigue
    THINGS TO REMEMBER
After surgery you will get tired quicker
Your brain is working over time
If you don't learn to listen to your body and rest when you need to it can lead to burnout
    LISTEN TO YOUR BODY
Try to accept that this is normal and that you're not lazy
    Take naps
    Don't feel guilty
    Learn to say no
    Pace yourself
    Schedule designated rest days
Be patient and kind to yourself
The Joel Costello RUclips channel is a place to come to learn about brain tumours and brain surgery recovery, from someone who has lived through it.
Here I share my experience, knowledge and advice of what I have gone through to help guide and inspire individuals and their families. Also expect some videos on health, nutrition, training, fat loss, overcoming adversity and exercise as I am a Personal Trainer and these topics I am hugely passionate about.
