Heart Beat except there were several people on the list he didn’t kill. in fact if you actually watch and pay attention to season 1 instead of just the stupid retcons in season 5, he gave every single person on the list a warning to stop the evil they were doing, it was only *after* that, if they continued to keep putting innocent people in harm’s way, would he go with the intent of killing them.

This would make a bit of sense if this guy has a son n his son is actually Prometheus. In the comics, prometheus chopped off Roy harper's arm n hhis father tried to kill Roy but Oliver stopped him by putting an arrow in him n now his son wants revenge. So he's been training n studying Oliver, including his role taking of killing ppl off the list involving the undertaking until 4 years later aka season 5.
that would've been really cool and would've tied season 5 back to season 1 a lot better. I didn't like that they just retconned in a whole different character to act as prometheus's father.

Not really. I guess I left out he's not going for people who are in the triad and are doing bad things in the city. That guy felt that all the criminals in the glades should get killed, Oliver wants to right his fathers wrongs and help his city get cured from all the evil. That guys wife was killed from people in the glades so he felt he had to kill the people who were poisoning the city (Like Oliver). Mr. Walking Dead, go take care of Clementine.
Oliver gives his victims a second chance to right their wrongs, however Joseph just guns them down in cold blood if their “reason for getting to live” doesn’t satisfy his ideals. There is a big difference between the two.
I see people make this argument all the time about why people believed Roy being the vigilante, there is a reason for that for one the feed to the live video was cut when Oliver boarded the train, for another Roy being the only person to survive just happen to feed into that lie that he was the Vigilante. While Roy wasn’t the Vigilante he was Arsenal so it wasn’t a total lie he just wasn’t the green one. Plus it fed his desire to see himself face some kind of justice for killing the cop in the end of season 2.

The guy was kidnapping people who he felt was poisoning his city. He was pretty much doing the same thing as Oliver except he was only taking care of the glades. Oliver didn't want to do it but he had to.

I always hated how they changed some dynamics. This show made Roy a little brother trope to Oliver, imo. Oliver was suppose to be Roy's father figure. Not to mention, I feel that they are way to close in age. Oliver was 27 in season 1, and Roy was 20-21.
Well, changes are made when you adapt comic books into a show. And I never saw Roy as the little brother. I think he was more like an older version of Jason Todd, you know without the morally grey personality. Honestly I prefer that Oliver isn't like the father figure because he is a younger version of his comic self. He is still learning how to be a hero as he is saving the city.
They were the same, kill people who do bad things. Arrow has the right to and now one else does, he was on his way to kill ylthe first guy from the episode, but the other guy got there first.
his primary goal wasn't to kill the guy it was to convince him to change and if he didn't change then maybe he would consider either stealing from him or killing him
@@jasonmoukala8909 I enjoyed the season, but it certainly did mischarachterize Oliver as someone who killed for the sake of him liking it rather than it being necessary to stop the uber-rich from doing whatever crimes they wanted (as they control the police). This episode clearly shows that he doesn't kill for the sake of it or because he enjoyed it.
That moment changed Roy's life forever and gave him a purpose.
I love when Oliver yells "WE'RE NOT THE SAME!" Good acting from Stephen Amell! Hope the show gets back on track.
