I did do a video on this but it got deleted by mistake. you need to refill the coolant bottle with coolant, at the rear of the engine there is a small plastic bleed screw fitted in between two water hoses which needs to be opened to vent and allow the system to be bled. start the engine with the cooland resovoir cap off and turn the heater on to the hot position and when you have coolant coming through the bleed screw close it off and top up the coolant as required. you should see the coolant returning in to the reservoir. when this happens replacement the cap and check the heater is getting hot and the temp gauge is warming up. recheck the coolant level by slowly releasing the coolant cap slowly. caution should be taken when doing so as the water is very hot and under pressure. hope this helps.
Enjoyed but there is no need to remove the bumper supports or crash tubes as they are known. I also have no idea which bolts you are removing in the wheel arch forward only the upward ones are needed. Don't forget about the side markers didn't see them in the video. If you but a couple of long bolts in each side of the radiator support you can slide it out or at lease not be afraid of it slipping off. The factory called that front end service mode. Don't put in the torx bolts before you attach the bumper cover because you'll just have to remove them. The clips on the top should be addressed first because bumping them in by hand will only break them. Lastly the shield underneath to two rearward screws are quarter turn and only require a screwdriver not a screw gun.
Thank you. Just did my 06 One. Some commentary wouldn't hurt and it would be very helpful to have a list of bolts (sizes, locations) and tools required. Have a great one.
thank you for the video. Please Can you explain me in detail the method of filling and bleeding the cooling circuit? because after replacing my radiator on the same car, I no longer have any heating in the passenger compartment and the fan works more than usual
can i be really stupid and ask how do you refill coolant after you replaced the radiator? i need too replace mine and this is bugging me because i have no idea how to refill it afterwards any help much appreciated thanks in advance
You probably already figured it out, but it is the outside temp sensor. There is a clip for on the backside of the bumper cover. He unclipped it at 2:35.
Just a suggestion, after fan replacement and coolant re-added make sure fan turns on and working order before reassembling everything. Save a lot of heart ache having to take everything back apart.
On my 05, the AC radiator in front of the coolant radiator does not want to swing out of the way like you see here. Did you undo some of the fasteners on the metal ac lines behind the radiator assembly?
There is a bracket, near the fan plug, on top right side of radiator. Bracket holds AC fill line. Remove the bracket with 10 mm and it will free up your AC condenser to move.
Great video! Just out of curiosity: Why didn't you replace the plastic plate with the fan, mounted on the back of the radiator? Isn't it worth to replace it? Since you are already take it apart and the fact the car is becoming of age?
you didnt show the hard to remove bolts in the centers of each side of the aluminium braket took me an hour to remove them had to go in through toop/bottom and side to move them a fraction at a time did you have this problem? there is a hole but they dont line up
These 2 bolts dont need to come out, I did the job today and I see exactly what 2 you talking about they don't line up with the holes so I removed the rest of the nuts and bolt to see if they actually need to be removed and they did not need removing
at 4:47 the crush tubes were taken out why? Apart from copying well known american 'putting into service mode'. This is not mentioned in official procedures for radiator removal. Please explain? 13:10 he puts them back?
Holy crap, you broke half the clips, sent anti freeze pouring on to the street and you have the audacity to wear gloves. Well folks, you get what you pay for. LMAO
I actually really like that there is no commentary on this video. I can just see how to do it and follow along. Thanks!
perfect! I wish every time I need help I found a video like yours, thank you very much!
Helpful video without any BS, top job mate 👍🏻
Your video saved my day and the bird sounds calmed me down as well. Top notch video. Radiator fan finally fixed. All the best.
By far the best video on the tube on how to do this. Thank You!
Michael, thank you.

BigSteveRealtor chill bro. It worked
BigSteveRealtor my daughter ran over a deer last nite and I think that she damaged the radiator because it’s leaking a lot. Is this expensive
Very true
Thank you. Just did my 06 One. Some commentary wouldn't hurt and it would be very helpful to have a list of bolts (sizes, locations) and tools required.
Have a great one.
Much appreciated for the video, helped me get the job done knowing the right way to do so, top job thanks.
Great video. Liked how you zoomed into key point. Thanks
You should make more videos. You're very good at it.
think you for your kind comments. I have some more projects coming up soon.
Y el enfriador del aceite onde lo lleva
Thanks for the helpful video - even better without commentary.
Very good video! Can you drain the water before removing radiator?
Nice video, very insightful. Now I realise I'm probably better off getting a garage to do this for me
thank you for the video.
Please Can you explain me in detail the method of filling and bleeding the cooling circuit? because after replacing my radiator on the same car, I no longer have any heating in the passenger compartment and the fan works more than usual
Thanks for ur video dude I was able to put it on my self save me a lot of money
A great very detailed video!
Can I ask, what radiator did you replace it with, what brand please? Cheers
it was a unit supplied by Euro Car Parts
Thanks, I was worried about the fitment of them. I got one too now and it fitted fine though. Only cost £38 after discount code!!
Bargain
What happened at 10:17 ?
You should put the ally bumper on before you tighten up the crash tubes. Makes it easier to fit back together.
Very true, I had to slack the nuts of then did this process
very very usefull you kno your job brother nyc and clear no question
I've watched a couple of times and great video excellent....but can't work out why you had to remove the steel bars from underneath ?? cheers
I thought it might be to give some space for the oil cooler to be put aside. Not sure why you would take both off.
can i be really stupid and ask how do you refill coolant after you replaced the radiator? i need too replace mine and this is bugging me because i have no idea how to refill it afterwards
any help much appreciated
thanks in advance
it was a 2004 model
going to try radweld first but replacement looks feasible......until you shear a bolt or something like that..good clear video.
Thanks for this.. can you tell me where the sensor cable on the left side of the car goes? You have it hanging below the car at 17:28 Thanks!
You probably already figured it out, but it is the outside temp sensor. There is a clip for on the backside of the bumper cover. He unclipped it at 2:35.
I'm getting ready to do the same thing how long did it take you stat to finish ?
What length of bolts were installed at this point? 12:30
Does it go through the radiator liquid or just before?
How long did it take to do this
Very, very good video👌
cool video! thank's from germany!
thank you.
How common is it for a Mini to need a new radiator? What are the reasons?
Age is a big factor. A friend of mine has a 2015 Mini and I have a hard time believing that the radiator needed to be replaced.
That's what I thought. Apparently she has never had it serviced so maybe that's why? No oil change or anything like that.
It's already been fixed by the dealership under warranty thankfully. I just thought that it was odd. Thanks for your help.
What the hell is that @ 10:18 - 10:38 ??? Looks like someone having a seizure !!! LOL 😂❤️😂❤️😂❤️😂❤️😂❤️

Ellerine sağlık. Bizim türklerde bu videodan bulamadım. Teşekkürler.
This is mini Cooper 1.6 85 kW?
Great video! Just out of curiosity: Why didn't you replace the plastic plate with the fan, mounted on the back of the radiator? Isn't it worth to replace it? Since you are already take it apart and the fact the car is becoming of age?
Those fans can go a long way...best to change the thermostat when changing out the radiator
What did you do with the temperature sensor? :-)
Is there any other radiator in a bmw that is compatible to this mini cooper?
Perfekt Video! thanks!

mmmmm not sure why I did remove them..looking back at the video they don't appear to be in the way.

I have the same question. If someone knows....
If your car doesn’t have ac it’s possible to do it without taking the whole front end off just to let you know
Yes, just done this job, and no AC means a quick, easy job. Not sure why the Haynes manual does not make this clear, either.
You forgot the radiator foam seal. Isn’t that important ?
Not really. Just may prevent some rattling.
would it be the same on an 07?
Hi I couldn't say with certainty but it's a face lift model and would be very similar to this one.
Only if your 07 is a convertible. The facelift was 05 06 in the hardtop and was completely changed in 08.
what is the small rad called which is in front of main rad
That is the air con radiator. You should avoid disconnecting this at all times unless you need the air con regassed
What year is this Mini Cooper?
Thanks for the video!
why did he remove the crash bar mounts
To prevent damages to AC Condenser.
Oh gee looks easy enough! LOL
Brilliant. thank you.
What is the small rad at the front?
Condenser for the A/C
can you still do the job using wheel ramps
yes, but it is a bit more difficult to access your radiator
What year is this mini cooper (????)
It is a 2004 model
😢 Swapping radiator for the second time in 6 months modern crapp
merci! beaucoup
Genial 👍😃
Omg he took the whole front end off
gd vid no stupid music
Holy hack job
You have better ideas? Make videos and show us better !!!
4:27 - 5:18 you disassembled the parts completely unnecessarily.
How the hell do you work with all those rubber gloves on.........smh
Wat the fuck is happening at 17:10
the same thing thats happening at 10:20

I need you in my life. Call me 😉
You don’t take care of shit look how you handle new parts.
Holy crap, you broke half the clips, sent anti freeze pouring on to the street and you have the audacity to wear gloves. Well folks, you get what you pay for. LMAO
Buen trabajo
Gr8 vid !
Thank you.
