Why get upset with Ferrari?! Leno has the same hostility. Buy Ferraris from private owners not from dealerships. The old cars Leno could have picked up for nothing years ago from private owners like most of his other cars and they have appreciated massively. Now you can pick up great current models with low miles as used cars after massive depreciation. Ferrari has been very good to owners who don't buy their cars from dealerships.

That's the key from dealerships. Ferrari is nothing like Aston Martin or Bentley, I don't get the feeling they wouldn't discriminate if they saw what i looked like. I know Aston Martin does not levee lawsuits against you for modding their vehicles and especially Bentley. I can't be mad at them doing business and playing the loyalty card but i can say it is very unattractive to know that's how the company behaves for outside people who do have a love for cars And also want to make a profit off of said vehicles. Just a reason to maybe why some people are very irritated by them

Easy to buy a used Ferrari - base car. Like a 296 - problem is the user interface on the 296 I bought used two months ago is just junk- impossible to enter a destination in the nav system. And the haptic controls are insanely poorly designed. The car is beautiful and it is amazing when driving on a country road - but the controls are just hysterically old and badly designed for a 2023 $400,000 plus vehicle. And the other problem is so many are bought and never driven that if you drive the car - then it depreciates wildly as any buyer can instead buy a used model with under 500 miles - and have a choice of many of them. With a porsche most are actually driven - so the used market moves with your car in terms of mileage but if you drive your own - yours will have to be greatly depreciated to sell in competition with so many others for sale that are essentially brand new. I made a mistake trading my gt3 202; for this 296 GTB.

Why would Ferrari sell an SP3 to this guy - who immediately is thinking about the ROI on the car? There are probably 100,000 people in the world who can afford an SP3 and WANT ONE. There are 599 units of the SP3 (give or take). Why would you not try to allocate those cars to the best customers? Truth is, to be in the top 1,000 Ferrari customers, you probably need at least 20 cars from the brand. Imagine I bought 20 cars and some dude with 1 Ferrari gets an SP3 that I've been asking them for (over years and years) - who does it make more sense to piss off in your opinion? Me with 20 cars or some random dude with 1? Worst, a huge % of the elite collectors with 20+ Ferraris won't be able to get the SP3 - because they don't make enough to cover even that level of collector!
