Great find! The Classic dolls can occasionally be very nice. I think you are correct in that the dolls sold in other national retail stores (like JC Penney) are slightly downgraded in little ways, like the stiff arms with no articulation and having less full skirts, because ShopDisney (aka The Disney Store and the Disney parks) want to have the "premium" versions, yet the Disney company wants to still have that widespread commercial accessibility for their products. The ShopDisney head sculpts are always superior to the other brands' versions (Hasbro and Mattel). Some of the best Classic princess doll dresses used to come from the Disney Store princess doll sets. My favorite one to this day is a Snow White doll dress from the Disney Store 10-princess doll set from 2011 or 2012, as it is really accurate and even has a very full skirt (and no glitter!).
For sure! The Classic dolls have gone through so many evolutions. The current doll set on ShopDisney definitely leans into the glitter fabrics, but even worse, the dolls have the super flat feet. I am still trying to figure out if the shift away from the high heels is some sort of response to a social criticism or what? For the Designer dolls, they went back to high heels after a brief period of flats, but the Classic dolls seem to be sticking with flats.
They are that sold in 2018 done for the Disney store by dollmakers working for Hasbro Disney dolls in the toy stores. I remember seeing this gift set 1-2 years before COVID late 2019. They were $119.99 USD full price before Disney Store clearances I was too busy to shop at after COVID mall stores reopened. COVID closed the two Disney stores in barely some surviving malls to die out during COVID years. Disney only has one outlet store in 2023 supposedly in a mall but they are now an Online store shop people order for delivery like from Amazon or whatever UPS and FEDEX possibly.
So fun! It's nice to see you unboxing them. 😍
Thank you 😀
@@dillybelle0 And I love your voice.

Yes, that’s it, these are just a bit of a downgrade from the premium versions sold at the Disney Store!
I think I know what set you are talking about! That set is probably harder to find now!
