I've never done line dancing before, but I did 15 years of ballet which made me quite good with remembering choreo and i just had SO MUCH FUN learning this!! it took me about an hour but now I can't stop!
One of the hardest line dances ive tried to learn. I thought footloose was hard. Thanks for the lesson with demo & music. I'll eventually get it on slow speed, lol.
Definitely one of the hardest. In the army I was stationed in El Paso, texas and when I tell you, line dancing was about the only thing that was actually fun because people make karaoke not fun. Well, anyways. I managed to learn the dances for “strokin” “the biker shuffle” “footloose” “old freight train” and there was one more that I can’t even remember the name of. But I kid you not, “fake id” is the one dance that I never managed to learn. Nobody was ever patient enough to teach me and I’ve been told that I’m a pretty good dancer. It took me 30 seconds to learn how to 2 step. Maybe 2 songs to 1 step. To this day idk how to dance “fake id” and it just irritates the heck outta me. Hopefully this video helps.
the Footloose scene with this dance in popped up on my instagram two days ago. i've been re-obsessed with it ever since and decided to finally learn it. so glad i found this video, so easy to follow! you look like you're having so much fun :D
Awesome tutorial. Had to modify it to work with my local bar. The first knee slap you do at 0:45 happens 2 counts earlier here at the local joints in Phoenix. And then the turn you do at 1:15, the locals here will turn on the clap but dont turn again going into those finger snaps. As you mention in your other videos it does change bar to bar but this will get you 99% of the way there. Thank you very much!
So I don't know how many people are aware, but this version has a small(but important) error in it. For whatever reason this demo features, a quarter turn in the "b" section after the claps. This is incorrect according to the stepsheet. I hope y'all review the stepsheet and upload a correct demo. Keep up the good work.
I got confused at first. Then I figured it out, the start always match with the “hey! mr….” That’s when you restart Thank you so much for making such a good tutorial ❤
Hey!! Thank you SO much for the wonderful tutorial and the time stamps for each section, excellent job! I have a question about the wall changes though - the step sheet says every time you do the tag, you do a 1/2 turn. When we do the tag the 1st time, we are ending on the heel jacks facing the 3 o clock wall, then the tag (1/2 turn), shouldn’t we be facing the 9 o clock wall to restart? It appears in this video you are facing 3 o clock to start? Am I missing something??
Great tutorial! Unfortunately too many restarts and tags and whatever...prob why I could never pick it up on the dance floor. I will keep trying with this tutorial!!
1: from start to slapping leg twice 2:start from beginning do full dance + airplane 3: start from beginning do full dance 4: start from beginning do full dance + airplane with moonwalking x 2
@@Sam-72223 I’m glad I’m not the only one the tutorial made it seem so easy but the restarts in this video weren’t made clear in the tutorial. I’m very lost

Also, the B+ on the step sheet says to repeat counts 9-16. This video shows repeating counts 1-8 instead.
this guy is so hilarious and adorable . absolutely hysterical when he teaches, got everyone in stitches
I learned the dance but I need to the sass of the turns. I loved this video!
