People forget that when Abraham Lincoln formed the Republican Party in 1854 it was the Liberal Party and the Democratic Party was the Conservative Party and they switched around to the way they are today by 1938, as Franklin Roosevelt was very much a Progressive Liberal just as Abraham Lincoln was, it's a real shame the way that the Republicans have turned out is more like Charles Lindbergh's vision for a Fascist Party than what they were prior to 1960 when Dwight Eisenhower was President
