To be honest I think that this is the best captain America figuarts ever. Like sure you dont have any cool accessories but that's because that will make it a spoiler and maybe they didnt have the unmasked chris Evan's headsculpt because they didnt want to risk it look terrible that we'll throw the figure off. But you have your essential things you need in every cap figure and you get an amazing captain America! With the best chris evans representation that tamashi has ever made!! What a way to end captain America figuarts for the mcu!
@@ooJUANWICKoo I know that but you pay extra for that.... way more extra.... and look at tamashi you get a decent cap that looks more accurate to me. You cant blame them plus hot toys are a higher quality company.

Now it seems, as the brand has gotten bigger and more prominent, that they are willing to charge extra because of marvel's success and give us reused parts. Bad qc issues and not as many accessories. Just a small gripe. But we I'm spending upwards of 2-300 dollars for figures to complete a certain movie or series, I'd like to get more bang for my buck...ya know.
cdubz3203 I’m pretty sure Hot Toys as a company has more to work with. All of these companies have different deals with Marvel as to what material they receive from the film. This Cap being a $50.61 figure, I’m real happy with it.

I learned it the hard way and turns out I saved a crap ton of money from it! Maybe tamashi only wants to give out accessories that hasn't been done before. For example thors hammer, you can easily just get a normal thor hammer and place it on cap. And maybe we'll get a custom unmasked Steve rogers headsculpt from a fan! It bring imagination to the minds of society!
I just got this figure in the mail as well, and I really like it so far, I like it much more than my Infinity War one I think the head sculpt is DECENT enough, I do see more Chris Evans than Vin Diesel-ish like the Civil War one. Whenever he’s maskless I think they would either kinda nail it or screw it up I love the reuse/remold of the Infinity War Captain America frame/mold cuz it looks much beefier and more proportionate My only gripe is the choice of facial expression for an alternate head, I would’ve much preferred the angry facial expression from the final battle instead And yes, I still do have Figuarts Infinity War Captain America cuz I used the right gripping hand to hold a Marvel Select Mjolnir

If it ends up staying normal price or even come down I may pick up in the future. I do want get the updated Legends endgame Cap too. I like that the paint apps are mostly clean but yeah I am with ya, shf can do nice shading, idk why in this day in age for the price we pay we don't see more small detail paint apps. Awesome review man!
I recommend a brown wash from head to toe! I also suggest some model top coat spray to help minimize paint rub. There is also pledge floor wax if you are on a budget. Check packaging to make sure its an acrylic wax and nothing that will damage your figure!!!

Just got this fig recently from AG and I love it except the lower torso has the paint scrape off if so easily...I paused it and it looks like yours has a couple nicks too so I’m glad it’s not just mine haha

I feel like with SH figuarts we are getting more and more qc issues. Paying higher and higher prices with less accessories. Tamashii needs to do some soul searching and figure out if it's an employee's lack of passion or a machine issue. Either way we need something done about it. I love SH but I'm leaning towards paying 100+ more and just start collecting hot toys.
@@Zapdos97 yeah I agree. I've gotten a few figures at Japanese prices but they're hard to come by. I cant always be right by my phone or checking sites hourly to make sure I get the lowest price possible. I missed out on the Japanese Powered down Broly but luckily I was able to preorder him on Amazon. That's not always the case. I just wish they would include more accessories. More variety.
No unmasked head, no hammer, no weathering on the shield or uni? Hasbro made a much better effort with their EndGame Cap. IMO for approx. 1/3 the price. Just another really lazy effort by SHF IMO. Must be why they are sold out everywhere (sigh....). Thanks for the review.
You could always wait for the statue to come out later this year with Mjolnir and the broken shield, or get the Walmart exclusive on Ebay. I didn't get this figure for the same reasons you mentioned.

I preordered the SHF EG Cap. since the SHF IW Cap. was disappointing IMO & don't own any other versions & was looking for a version that holds the shield on the back & in throwing positions (which is missing on ML) but as noted in my original comment this one could have been so much better with just a little more effort. Instead it's pretty much Civil War Cap. on the IW body sculpt with an updated paint job & missing the unmasked head that came with Civil War version.

Hot toys gives you accessories but hides them until the last minute. Check out EG Cap. You get a broken shield and mjolnir

IMO the Infinity War Cap is pretty great. Outside of the head sculpt of course. These past 2 versions proportions are miles ahead of the first 2.

Pretty cool figure. I wish it had come with an unmasked head, but it's not bad. I just got the Endgame Black Widow and I love that one.

cdubz3203 this Cap was about $55 on Japanese sites. I feel like you get what you pay for. Secondary market prices not so much
