I absolutely love how this turned out. I'm a beginner pushing into the intermediate level and this is the shove I needed to work on more complicated projects. Thank you so much
Made a pouch for myself a while ago and I needed something to put a birthday present into and currently working on my second one just bigger for the present. So easy to make and has held up fantastically for my tarot cards while traveling
Can I just say - I LOVE how the alternating single/double crochet rows look in the body of the pouch.
I just started getting into crochet these last few weeks, so I only have second-hand acrylic yarn. I used a nice burgundy for this one and I’m so so proud of myself! I made the bag a little deeper and am going to use it as a little travel period supplies pouch. Thanks so much for sharing this lovely pattern!
Thank you so much! My tarot cards now have a beautiful “dress” to wear.
my pouch came out great! Very easy to follow instructions, i love the use of double and single crochets in this
This video is very easy to follow and the pouch turned out perfect. I'd like to mention though that at about 27:12 you did not mention that the final stitch of that single crochet row is actually the chain 2 from the row before = 30 stitches which can cause confusion as throughout the other rows the chain 2 or chain 1 did not count. I don't know if anyone noticed or mentioned that before or not. It threw off my count at first but I figured it out :) Fit my tarot deck wonderfully. Thank you.
@@AshtenStitches You're welcome :)
Thanks for this video. I followed right along with you and made one for my tarot cards. I am now gonna make these for gifts. I really appreciate how simple you make this.
Such a detailed video! I had been trying to find a video on a pouch like this for ages, and yours is perfect! Mine turned out truly amazing, thanks a bunch!
Such thorough instructions, thankyou!
Just made mine!! Loved it. Thank you so much for the easy tutorial and you explained it so well 🫶🏻
Hobbii rainbow 8/8 has many colors. Nice hook.
I loved this project! It's been a while since I didn't crocheted anything, so this fits perfect for the occasion. Thank you very much 🥰
This was so well done! Thank you so much for making this video!
I made this with pink velvet yarn for my new Lovely Omens Tarot and it came out wonderful! Thank you so much for this beautiful pattern! I made it in two days and I am definitely going to make more for my other decks!
@@AshtenStitches Thank you! Will do!
This is the first project that i made. I am a begginer in crocheting. Your videos helps me alot and the instructions is very easy to understand. Hope you will upload more videos. Xoxo
Literally the best tutorial I’ve followed along with, so detailed and simple!!
Your voice is so soothing. Thank you for this tutorial!
Really really enjoyed making this pouch. Very clear instructions and so easy to follow. Thank you
I just saw what music is playing above! So nice! Thank you!
Loved it! So cute 🥰 I was confused tho cause when it came to the ”lid” and it was supposed to be 21 sc i couldnt get it I just got 20… gonna try again and see 🙏🏼😊
Oh my goodness thank you!!! This helped soo much I needed to make my mom a gift and this is perfect and easy ! You just gained a new subscriber!
@@AshtenStitches your welcome :3
I usted this tutoría, for a book cover and kg turnes out a ma zing! Thank you so much❤
Thank you! I loved how mine turned out. xx
I'm so glad!!
Wow! This was so easy to follow! I finished my pouch in three hours!!
Thank you so much!!! Really pretty design!
so i just made this! when i got to the flap part, i did everything to a T and started to stitch it on. finished up and it did not look right at all! i had a few extra stitches and the whole thing was like, off center. so i took it it off and frogged the whole flap... only to realise i had sewn the wrong side to the bag!! 😂😂😭 good thing it's only a small flap and took like 5 mins to whip up!
(i redid it and stitched it to the main part, turned out perfect this time 😂)
Thank you for this! Extremely simple instructions! Mine looks great, Also you have a lovely voice!
so buteful ...thank you soòooo much for charing with us❤🌷
Love the pattern! Just to double check there is no specific stitch count for the starting chain?
Such a good tutorial! I added a cute scalloped edge to the top of mine 😊
hello I am just finished this today with lilac color and turns beautiful. thank you for your effort make this video.have a great day
planning to do this as a book sleve so, for the flap do I just corchet more rows until it matches the pouch size? I know it sounds logic but I just wanna make sure beforehand! Btw, I love this, such a cute work and clear instructions, I'll make sure to suscribe to keep up with your tutorials!❤
@@AshtenStitches thank you so much!! I'll start tomorrow and I'm actually really excited because your pattern is really cute, so thank you again!❤️
Friendly tarot card!!! 😍🥰❤️🌈
Too cute. I’d put beads on the ind of the string
So cute! I can't wait until I can make something like this. Thank you!
Just made this for my mom's birthday. Thank you!
So cute!
i want to do something like this for a book sleeve!
Thank you! I love love love this...
U have a very sweet relaxing voice.
Thank you for the video I found it very helpful! I was wondering how I could make the flap for a book sleeve though. Do you think you can instruct me on how I can lengthen the sides so that it would fit my cover? Or rather any advice on how to make a bigger flap for a book sleeve? Thank you!!!
You could probably repeat the pattern a few more rows to get to the size you need! I do plan on reworking this pattern so that it can be made into a book sleeve but not sure when that’ll be!!
@@AshtenStitches Thank you so much! A book sleeve tutorial would be wonderful! Cant wait to see it! Im actually making this as a gift for my friend and absolutely love the design of this pouch. The only issue was that I didn’t know if I had to alter the chain of 6 for the initial part of the flap. Thank you for your help!
I love the bamboo crochet hook you are using, can you share the brand? ❤️
My sister told me about your pouch and I think it is adorable!!! What is that melody you are playing in the background? It is so relaxing! I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing more of your creations!
I have the same deck! Mine says hello!
I love this tutorial! Could I use weight 5 bulky yarn instead?
Great tutorial. I had to try it three times tho (definitely my own fault). I think I either crochet too tight or my cards were too big but, after using a thicker yarn, it turned out perfect :))
this is so cool i’m definitely going to make one for my cards tomorrow and this tutorial is super easy to follow! is there a difference between a normal double stitch and turning it and putting it in the bump like you did in the video?
Hello!
LOVE this pattern, you're so creative!Quick question :-)
So after a DC row, we chain one for the next SC row and after that SC row, we chain TWO for the next DC row?
Thanks in advance!!
Love this! Thank you
I made one for my kindle paperwhite :)
Pretty
I love this pattern so much! But for whatever reason I can't figure out why on row 5 of the flap where I should have 21 stitches that I instead keep getting 20...
So I'm wondering if I should be doing 2 dcs in the beginning of the row instead of just one since the chain 2 doesn't count? Cause when I do it the way it's stated in the video with 1dc in the beginning and 2 at the end I only have 20? Or is the stated amount of stitches I should have incorrect? I'm just trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong to be honest! Cause I've redone this row like 5 times and nothings changed. Maybe I'm too tired to continue for the night! Lmfao😂😅
yes I'm having the same problem too. could it be a miss number and its really 20 stiches?
Me too:(
I don't know how this is happening, but at 25:31 where I should have 21 stitches, I got one less than the amount, and I've redone that row 4 times. I went on to the next row, and still one sitch short. I'm just going to redo the whole thing and see if I might have messed up in a previous row. But is anyone else having these issues? I keep telling myself that it's a typo in the pattern, but I'm getting frustrated over this and irritating the hell out of me.
I have 17 at the end row at 21:29 and I’m supposed to have 16 and I’ve redone the row a bunch of times. Ima just see what happens if I keep going
same thing happened to me. in one of the next rows where she says to put 2 dcs in one st, i put 3 instead to get to the right amount.
Yeah the way she did it would be impossible to end up with 21 stitches because she only increased in the last stitch... she probably meant to increase in the first stitch too so that's what I did
i just wanna make sure... is this a 4 ply cotton yarn?
Do you add more chains to the flap if you make the pouch bigger? If so how many?
Is there a way to o this in one piece, rather than attaching the flap?
Thanks madam ,so cute ❤️❤️❤️
God bless you
Im from sri lanka
I am having a horrible time getting the closure flap right. I keep messing it up somewhere! Lol do you have any written instructions I can purchase? 🥺👉🏻👈🏻
Same here I only had 29 when I was supposed to have 30 so I added a single crochet to the last stitch... then when going to single crochet along the edge I had to do quite a few more than 23 for some reason... then my first time lining the flap up it was too much over on one side, frogged, redid it and it just looks wonky for some reason. I followed directions to a T and she is so thorough, idk what I’m doing wrong 🥺🥺🥺
I'm really struggling to follow the video when it comes to the top part, does this pattern exist in a written form anywhere? Thank you!
@@AshtenStitches I also had issues with the top flap as my tarot cards are much bigger - I used more initial stitches. I improvised and made it bigger... but if I was really new, I would have been stumped. It's a lovely pattern and up until that bit, it's well explained. :)
Is yarn like DK ricorumi cotton yarn also suitable for this project? (Suited for 3-4 sized needles)
Hii how do you make the cover bigger? I'm struggling to figure out 😅 15:30
Is there a way I can alter the bag flap pattern to fit a different size bag? Your pattern is so pretty but it doesn't the bag I made 😭
The best way I can think to make it larger is to just repeat the pattern! But I will be working on a larger version of this soon ❤️
could this be sized up and turned into a book sleeve?
how can i change this pattern to make this bag bigger? thank you!
Increase your number of base chains and follow the trend from there
On the last row of the flap, wouldn’t we actually want to do 21 stitches, as two of the original chains were turning chains, so we end up with 21 stitches?
im trying to use this pattern for a book sleeve. this would be my very first crochet project so i don't really know anything. do i have to modify anything aside from the number of chains?
@@AshtenStitches thank you so much!
15:13
For my reference 😀
How do I make the pouch smaller, if my pouch has 13 chains to begin with?
How would you change the size of the flap? My deck is smaller than an average tarot deck
Do you count the chain 2 of each row, or is that just for stitch height?
What kind of yarn is used to make this pouch??? 😊
Want to trh it using chord yarn is it ok?
Aaahhh i'm making this but for my body of the pouch i chained 32.. how would i adjust to make the flap part fit?
@@AshtenStitches awesome, thanks so much for taking the time to reply!! i'll try this 🎉
27:55 (personal time stamp)
Can i make this object in acrylic?
You can use any yarn you’d like! I just like to use cotton since it holds shape really well :)
If I made the pouch wider, do I need to change the size of the flap? I made it 26 stitches wide
@@AshtenStitches Thank you so much!!
is there a written pattern for this?
💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, because I'm following the tutorial step by step. However, when I get to the part on the flap where there's meant to be 30 stitches and on, I'm one stitch short. Even after restarting, I'm having the same problem. I'm not really sure where I'm going wrong.
Hello did you figure it out?
I'm having the same issue...restarted 4 times already
Do you have a written pattern for this?
🥰
You should annotate the video because it's impossible to end up with 21 stitches given the directions at the 25:00 mark or so
Is this a free pattern?
Thanks for this video. I followed right along with you and made one for my tarot cards. I am now gonna make these for gifts. I really appreciate how simple you make this.
