Using the sphinx mandala yarn, I crocheted a dragonfly blanket, for my grandson, years back. They turn out so nice and soft. I hope you enjoy all those lovely color changes, like I did!
I always coveted the Retro Stripes 🤤🤤then, I managed to get some when Joann started shipping to the UK 😁😁 Unfortunately, over 12 months later, it is still sat on the shelf because I can't find the right project for it 😅😅 As they no longer do international shipping, I wouldn't be able to replace it 😓😓 so, maybe, it will just have to remain in pride of place on the shelf so I will still be able to look at it in real life 🤣🤣 From what you were saying about the Mandala, I'm wondering if they have been playing around with it because none of my normal Mandalas are fuzzy and I've use quite a few over the years, nothing would surprise me though!! I tried the Big Twist Party Yarn a while ago and found it very splitty. Maybe I received a bad batch? One of my favorite yarns is Mandala. I know they have come out with new colorways but haven't bought any yet. Enjoy ur weekend
I did have some splitting too - but then I grabbed it from the other end and didn't have that problem moving forward (If it split on me from the centre-pull - then I grabbed it from the outside of the ball).
Joann just went through a bankruptcy reorganization and went from being a publicly traded company back to a privately owned company. That was probably part of the process to rein things in.

I wonder if the differences you've noticed are due to the Joann Fabrics bankruptcy and restructuring? That would be my guess. Since the bankruptcy is resulting in restructuring, I'd also guess that they will eventually service Canada again. ❤

K&C colors sometimes bleed, so you might want to give it a bath in vinegar first before you wash it. :D

Satyrs in Greek mythology are half man, half goat. The colors seem to represent mythical beings. Yarn color names were Sasquatch, centaur and Satyrs.

I tried the Big Twist Party Yarn a while ago and found it very splitty. Maybe I received a bad batch? One of my favorite yarns is Mandala. I know they have come out with new colorways but haven't bought any yet. Enjoy ur weekend
I did have some splitting too - but then I grabbed it from the other end and didn't have that problem moving forward (If it split on me from the centre-pull - then I grabbed it from the outside of the ball).
I do not know why people think only pastels for baby items!
I like that Satyr color. Question that the Baby yarn is coming from China who has no standards for chemicals.
Oh - that's not good. Perhaps I don't make a baby item with it. It's a nice colour (perhaps to be used on an item that won't go into anyone's mouth).

Joann just went through a bankruptcy reorganization and went from being a publicly traded company back to a privately owned company. That was probably part of the process to rein things in.
Hi Cathy - thank you for letting me know that JoAnn is restructuring. Cross fingers that they get back on their feet and open the Canadian doors again.
I wonder if the differences you've noticed are due to the Joann Fabrics bankruptcy and restructuring? That would be my guess. Since the bankruptcy is resulting in restructuring, I'd also guess that they will eventually service Canada again. ❤
