Congratulations 🥳 Long wait but worth it, your van looks great in that colour too. Very interesting quick look thank you, we can see the changes they’ve made from our van and the new wardrobe is a much better design 😊 Looking forward to the full tour and your secret places when you are travelling, can’t beat a good recommendation from experienced travellers 🏴
Thank you Iain and Caroline! Superstars! Been watching your latest trip with interest, looks awesome!
Hi Guys just subscribed to your vlogs looking to get a motorhome so nice to see what you have . Looking forward to your trips
Welcome aboard! Thanks for joining us!
The vent st the back is the intake for the Whale heating system. It sucks in, not blows out. Also, the door slides out before it retracts, so you won't knock off anything stored in the door nets.
Ah I see, its an air intake, that makes more sense I suppose! Great to hear about the door too, I couldnt work out why you would store something there! Thank you!
Van looks great. You travel with quite a bit of kit, would be interesting to know how close you are to the 3.5t limit when you are fully loaded with all your clothes, food, water, kids and bikes.
I reckon it needs checked! I've looked at the online calculator and it's very close to the limit when you add bikes!
Apparently you can raise your limit above 3.5t pretty cheaply and then you get the added benefit of cheaper road tax
@@jml9251 Definitely worth looking into. I wonder what the actual capabilities of the van are.
Will enjoy following you for info on the van which we hope to buy in a couple of years. Is there an option to have lithium batteries and the upgraded charging system lithium requires?
Exciting Ian! I didn't see that but if you go to the autotrail website on campervans you should find a price list which has all options from them. Beyond that I'd recommend finding a good dealer of repute and they can also do some extras for you. I'm really happy with Marquis and they did a few things for us like fitting the gas bbq point externally.
That’s the air intake for the heating by the rear door not a blower
Thanks mate, totally right, I had only had the van a few hours when I did this video, so didn't quite appreciate that. Hope you enjoyed the vid!
Just put down a deposit on the 65 Auto, going to get the BBQ point fitted did you get an option to
where to locate?
Also have you found the location of yours is in a good place.
Thanks
Yes, best place is the rear corner of the van behind the fridge vents. Easy access to the gas pipes coming off the fridge and also complies with safety laws so it's not under the awning
Also, congrats on your purchase, the auto is a great option!
Thanks for reply
Hoping i get the tried and tested 9 speed as I'm reading its being discontinued to be
replaced with an all new 8 speed this year sometime
@@jml9251 oh I wasn't aware of that. The good news is you will get the benefit of the automatic fridge, which is a real bonus. I always forget to switch the fridge between modes when travelling!
Great didn't realise that about the fridge, only change i had noticed from 2023 model was the bathroom window
Is that another change made to the cab area roof?
Looks like netting.
Looking to put a deposit down at the NEC in October but I've been
told about a 18 Month wait. 😪
Yes indeed, they have added a couple of map pockets to the cab plus area above the front seats. We waited 17 months in total. Hope that helps. Its well worth the wait. Fantastic van!
@@ScottishVanTrips Thanks for the reply, looking forward to your more
in-depth video
Lovely van , I thought they had a microwave fitted ?.
Nope, no microwave in this model, although I suspect the microwave would get more use than a low temperature oven!
Mines due October/November just out of interest how much was the bbq point?
Hey Andrew, I think we paid Marquis around £260 fitted. I've bought a hose and a quick release end to connect the cadac. Tested it last night and it works a treat! I'm going to do a seperate review video on that in the coming months.
