    Hello Richard, which one of these courses will be best suited for someone who just wants to learn how to create his own portfolio?

    • @RichardWalls
      @RichardWalls  2 года назад +2

      I'd say any of the first three courses I list would be good ones. The Yale one at the end is good if you have more time to spare.

      The first one (Rice) should be good. Would also recommend Graham Stephan on RUclips - he's got some really good content.

    o Illinois - Financial Management Specialization
    o Illinois - Financial Reporting Specialization
    o IESE - Think like a CFO
    o University of Geneve - Investment Management Specialization

      Nice! Will be a good amount of work. All those specializations are multiple courses worth. Best of luck!

      @@RichardWalls Thanks. I've done 14 specializations and 15 individual courses on Coursera over the past year... and they don't help in getting a job (in my experience). I'm removing University of Melbourne's specialization due to overlap.

    What would you say are the best Finance/ Accounting courses overall

    • @RichardWalls
      @RichardWalls  2 года назад +1

      Don't have any suggestions off the top of my head, but if you search in Coursera for either Finance, or Accounting, typically the most popular ones are shown first.

    Hi Richard, which course would you recommend if I want to learn about trading and perform fundamental analysis of the companies.

    • @RichardWalls
      @RichardWalls  2 года назад +1

      Most of these courses should work. Outside of that, for fundamental analysis, I'd recommend the Intelligent Investor (book). One of the best resources available!

    Hi! I'm considering dropping out. Are there any course that will help me with my own business? Thanks!

    • @RichardWalls
      @RichardWalls  2 года назад +1

      Hi Elisa - don't know of any specific courses to recommend apart from just finding free resources online on starting a business. Once you have some kind of foundational knowledge and awareness of what goes into starting a business, next best thing is to just start it up and get the experience.

    an interesting thing came to my mind. what will gain more money in next 5 years: invest in COUR $399 every year(price of coursera plus subscription), or buy anual subscription with a purpose of skills improvement?)) what do you think about it??

    • @RichardWalls
      @RichardWalls  2 года назад +2

      Skills improvement will earn you more if it means it can help you land a job making 30% more. Then you can take that extra money and invest if you'd like.

    Hi there!
    I found this video to be extremely useful for people who are interested in investment like me.
    I have a little question.
    What Coursera course would you recommend for someone who is new to investment and finance like me?
    Thank you so much!

    • @RichardWalls

      Hi - I believe I make a recommendation in this video for that, but most of these courses are introductory in nature.

    You never mentioned how much they cost. I'm on the Coursera, and I cannot find the cost of fees courses. You did a bad job here. Try to give complete info next time.

    • @RichardWalls
      @RichardWalls  2 года назад +4

      Thanks for the feedback, David! Cost can vary depending if you pay for just the specialization itself ($39/mo is common, but can vary by specialization), or if you sign up for Coursera Plus subscription. Alternatively, you can audit many of these courses (get access to alot of the content) for free.

      Might be very late considering this was a year ago, You can enroll for financial aid for most of the courses. It basically makes it free w/ the certifcation
