As someone without an encyclopedic knowledge of osrs weapons (especially the new varlamore ones), i'd appreciate a quick breakdown of what's going on in these videos. I'd especially like to see an outline of the calculations that show you can 1-hit anyone in your combat bracket / the reason each stat is set where it is. Always fun to watch good pks though!
Hey, always happy to help. According to the calculator I used granite maul can hit 34 in the best strength gear he wore in this video. Obby maul can hit 42, so those already can stack for 34 + 34 + 42 = 110 dmg. Atlatl can also hit around 25-30(not sure of the exact max hit), then add on top of that recoil damage, burn damage and vengeance. So he can potentially stack out any account in the game. Regarding his stats he quested 50 defence to be able to access lunar spellbook, barrows gloves, and other goodies. The level itself lets him wear varlamore armour. 52 prayer for overheads and lesser boost prays. 50 attack mainly for granite maul. His offensive stats are not quite perfect, he could level his magic and ranged to 89 and not gain a single combat(excluding possible hitpoints gains), but I suppose he just can't be bothered. And the account does seem pretty powerful as is. If you have more questions I'll try to answer them to the best of my knowledge.
Hey Framed- regarding the guy logging out.. old trick I learned from my friend Paperbag quite literally about 20 years ago.. if you WALK through the wildy, you will be able to see them before they see you, and sometimes even see the player dot multiple tiles ahead 😅 I only ever got caught in the wild while afk or while playing call of duty 😂
11:02 how would you escape by running around a corner if you're still getting hit [by burn]? I've been gone a while. don't understand all the new mechanics like burn.
You position yourself better to escape + it’s the more logical thing to do in that scenario in the video. It just makes catching gap and escaping that way easier
Pro tip: Make a wilderness video containing secret safe spots for slayer and other activities, check those spots later to find the pvmers that watch your vids.
Some peeps do play the game vigilantly, I use to run bloods through the wildy cause it was faster, just use the screen flasher and have the log out ready, it's easy to get accused of using an auto logger

PKing really looks kind of fun but the barrier to entry is too high. I made a pure, first time i finally took it into the wilderness north of edgeville (it was still poppin a couple years ago) i got stacked by someone using gmaul obby maul and something else (i forget) for over my entire health bar. Last time i would ever try.
You were on the right tracks when you decided to start with a pure, as you can risk almost nothing and not be completely outgeared. Key to learning to PK is just setting up budget gear setup that you can afford to lose over and over again, and acknowledging that you WILL die a lot before you start being competent.

Yo you should make a long video or make it a series of several videos PK builds for people to get into pking a bit more. It can be organized like the build goal + requirements + gear options + activities for pk areas for that bracket + upgrades to the account like turning it from one build to another if applicable. Run it from more beginner builds to advanced builds later on. Then show off some of the builds you made with some fights to show how to use the account and things to think about.
Just unsure if I can take that route. It's pretty much completely maxed as is. Construction and crafting cape included. I have years on the account as a 1 def pure, 75 atk and 52 prayer. Is it possible to do all quests for zerker or perilous pure with 52 prayer and 75 attack already?

Ya'll ever think it'd be rad if loot keys being enabled was consumable? Kill a dude with keys, get like 500k, and he has to rebuy it. bigger kills, bigger losses, lil GP goin out of the game.
Runelite has a keyboard shortcut for logging out, and another that makes your screen glow like the sun when a pker shows up, its not that hard to log out quickly

I want to say something about the "botlike behaviour" comment for the instant logout, as I have done it several times myself. But then I realised my account is literally called GuffieBOT.
When attacking an enemy with atlatl while in full eclipse moon set gives you a chance to inflict burn on enemy. It does little bit of chip damage for some time(kind of like poison)and multiple burns can be active at the same time. That's just bonus damage to dwindle enemy health down on top of other methods, and then going in for the stack KO. Atlatl also gets damage bonuses from melee stats and melee strength bonus eventhough it's a ranged weapon. So even more incentive to wear gear that provides high strength bonus in the PVP world clips. Satisfied?
