Those sped up shots using the go pro and the gimble were incredible! I would love to see more shots like that. I've been trying to replicate that effect by attaching my iPhone to my road-bike but the shot is not quite as steady as yours.
if you are attaching it to the handlebars, maybe try attaching it to the headtube instead.

The problem is the false confidence you get from an early shoutout like that. Remember that girl Amber who won a camera through one of Casey's giveaways? Oh you don't?? That's because she got a huge flux of subscribers, then they lost interest in her content. She was up to 5000 subs just like Dutch here. Now she's lucky to get 100 views on a video. I hope this kid proves me wrong, but in general I think that big shoutouts like this do more harm than good to a channel that is serious about making videos long term.
I doubt it does any harm. Rule number 1 to making content is getting it seen. Doesn't matter how, you just need to get seen. Rebecca black is a great example. No matter how awful her music was...the fact she got popular guaranteed some success as an artist. VS the hundreds of more talented people out there who have zero exposure and penniless because of it.
The great thing about shout outs like this though, is once you've gotten that many subs..even if most of them leave, by the time you do find a niche that works...you'll already be over that initial hump where you have good content but people won't subscribe because they don't want to be your first subscribers (a real thing).
