He's actually perfect for my Legends line. He's 6'5" in his armor so when you stand him next to 6'2" Captain America, he fits just fine. And the mix of classic old skool with a dash of modern is the icing on the cake. It's the ZD toys that make me cry. They look so nice and don't fit ANYWHERE
I’d love to see Mezco’s take on the Mark 1 First appearance and put a modern take on it, Best part is they could incorporate some Fabric(their special thing they do) on the insides of parts of the Armor, and as seen with this Classic Iron man figure it would be amazing

Solid review man! Seeing that modern Marvel Legends figure being the same size I think the scale is fine. I only wish that Mezco had made the drop down on the hips better and would like to see more range of motion in the ankles.
Oh my freaking goodness. I stopped this review at the 4:11 mark to say that I'm completely sold. My very first Marvel toy was the Secret Wars Iron Man (circ 1984) and this brings me back to that momentous day. I've yet to get a Mezco toy due to price, but I think this will be the first one I get. Knowing that it lights up and I don't have to use photoshop for an Iron Man toy pic on IG (thrawns_black_seris_art....shameless plug), I'm all in. Now, to jump on the Mezco site, and then finish up Robo's review.

Now I'm not a big fan of Iron Man, but good god; saw this guy on display at a local comic book shop..it's beautiful! And yeah, I'd want to put it with my Legends display to replace my series 1 version. But since I'm not a huge fan, I just couldn't spend more than $30 on it. So um, yeah..that's not happening lol.
I like the classic look iron man straight from the comic books im getting this one after this review plus I did end up buying the Hasbro 80th iron man and it looks awesome

Since the promo images showed even on the exclusive Iron Man to be firing out from the front. Not from the back but that doesn't mean you still can't plug them from the back.
I could definitely see a lot of people putting that Popeye at the beginning in their top 10 figures for 2018. Not sure about that Mezco Iron Man. But still looks pretty slick nonetheless.
Armored Mezco Batman came with a battery. Don't have mine yet, but this looks great. And basically 20 bucks for LED lights and a battery. But I think he'd work with ML. Marvel Now Cap is shorter than the classic Cap on the bigger body.

I have that figure Its pretty damn nice in person and I use it for my Avengers display [Kinda of a mash of some of the MCU figures from different lines,but its mainly comic book Marvel Legends] The only things I changed for it was the I added a bit of red on the upper arm [The deltoid] with some spray paint Thank god I found the right colored spray paint to use
I think it works with the legends. He's about the same height as the prime armor ironman you had him standing next to and since ironman is supposed to be taller in armor you can say since its a older model it's meant to be bulkier and taller.
Based on the height comparison with the Marvel Legends Iron Man figures, this figure looks like it’ll fit perfectly with most of the other legends. That original Classic Iron Man and the Marvel Now Captain America are undersized, especially compared to Spider-Man. Mezco Iron Man will look great with the Vintage wave Cap and most of the contemporary Thor figures.

I always wanted a really good Iron Man figure in his classic look, and this is the closest as I ever expected. But I had money for just 1 Mezco One:12 figure on these days, so I ended up buying Popeye instead. :)
My issue with Mezco is that while some releases I REALLY like, most of them are quite lacking in articulation...and to me the idea of an action figure means being able to pose it in dynamic poses that look cool. Otherwise it looks like a scaled down PVC statue except that it's worse because of the presence of joints. With this Ironman, I thought they were going for an SHF approach to articulation (since they aren't limited by cloth or fabric) yet I think previous figures such as Batman or Daredevil look more posable. The gold in this one also looks too similar to a ML, as seen in the comparison segment. Finally, the unmasked face kinda sucks and makes the head look disproportionate. Having said all that, I do think it's a nice rendition of the classic look and it's imposing. So I dunno, I guess it's a mixed bag. I'm glad you loved it tho, Robo!
I'm starting to get the feeling you have a thing for candy colours..especially that sweet, sweet candy red. Gotta lick it to see if it's cherry flavored.
I think that Mezco Iron-Man fits fine with Legends. He's barely taller than Pizza Spidey and that Cap seems undersized anyway. Movie Thor also isn't as tall as comic Thor.

Sooo weird. I know you're right, but how do you get 5" extra in the armor? I mean, the top of the helmet isn't really tall and there's no platforms on the bottom of the feet.
@@Chalor. you ever put boots on? Well thats like two inches more, flats are about an inch, so, the propelers need a cooldown mechanism to not burn starks feet, plus an inch on helmet, so yeah about 5 to 6 inches more

I really think the scale is fine especially together with the hasbro classic cap. That marvel now cap is a tad short for ML.

The Uni-beam as much as I can remember was when he would use his hands and make a triangle so his hands and chest would make a huge blast.

I got the black and gold model 42 version, not buying 2, but looks good though just a repaint.

This is my first Mezco with a LED. I think. Hmmm. But yeah, after messing a few more days I think it does fit in okay with Legends.

The hip accessories is flairs. So I don’t think they shoot out forward. They shoot out back enemy missiles could not hit him.
