Lets get reall here.. this model is poor... the rudder is the wrong colour, it should be green...the green bit at the back is again the wrong colour, it should be black....but why oh why is the OMEGA name the wrong way round on the port side...its not like that in reality,,,the sponsorship logos are missing.... and there is no yacht name at the rear.. it should say Taihoro..but there is nothing there...hardly a good replica and for the money it should be waaaaay better than it is....
Pneumatics on a boat? Airboat? I think they used a compressor instead of the usual handpump because you ideally need to push down on the pump and there isn't a lot of space on top of the boat, also using the smaller pumps you get a bit more fine-grained/slower control over the cylinders instead of extending them with 1 pump motion. I think it's a cool boat but I will not be paying msrp lol, I'll wait until retailers discount it a bit.
For me as a sailor and a Lego fan as well - a total disappointment. A couple of years ago LEGO released a floating catamaran 42105 - I was thrilled, especially that after appropriate modifications (modified mast, keels, rudders) it really sails! Even self-steering by wind is possible there. So when I heard that Lego is going to release another watercraft, I was also hoping for a floating sailboat, only bigger and more complicated. Every week I was checking the news about this set. And? Lego now release a model of a yacht, which not only does not float, but its mechanisms are based, as far as we can see, on a stand attached to the hull. But it has pneumatics and branded badges.... Lego, why?.... Nonetheless - I will perhaps buy the sails (if they become available in retail), and continue to modify the 42105 :)
I think a catamaran is easy to float regardless. For this boat they would've had to add a feature of a yacht underneath for it to even float as foils are it's stability so it wouldn't work. On water like a catamaran does.
This looks amaizing for me. I wanted to get pneumatic part, and this is good for that. If the only funcion is the side things, removing the pneumatics would not effect how it looks on the schelf. So I could make mocs and have a nice sailboat at the same time. This would not work with the other pneumatic sets. So great value for me
@@Daniel-nh7xj question, if let’s say me and racingbrick publish a review of the same set on the same day, would you prefer me to release it 15 mins after or at the EXACT time as him
The model has the dual cranks on the stand to simulate the way the winch handles are laid out on the deck of the real thing.
Oh that’s cool!
Can’t wait for LEGO to make the LEGO Technic Emirates A380 sometime, now that they have the Emirates License.
Same here! Needs to have great interior details too, with the first class shower too
Yes I’m an aviation lover and I would instantly buy this!
Bro this would be amazing!!!!
I would absolutely love to see something like that too, the A380 is by far my favorite plane ever
That would be great, they also have the Airbus licence so surely…
Great to hear from you. I'll be getting this set, based on your review.
Thank you! Stay tuned
Finally a technical hovercraft because you can pump it up.
I am buying it just for the pump
Nice! What is your favorite pneumatic set?
@@Unbrickme the new john deere is nice but i take them apart and use the parts for my self made tracktors

Well, I'll be getting none of new sets :)
What is your favorite technic set?
@@Unbrickme hmm, there where many great sets in technic golden age (aprox 10 years back). I don't have favorite, but 8043 is leader i think.
@@DzieXik 8043 is my favorite as well
@@Unbrickme I know, I saw your video :)
not worth monney and time
I don’t think it takes that much time to build
This set is definitely on my list.
Same here! Honestly one of the best boats that Lego technic has done, easily

Now I'm *pumped* for this set! ⛵
Ba dum pshhhhhh
just started building this today and as a sailor i love it so much
Bro waiting for reveal of Technic G wagon and Technic McLaren 1:8 hypercar ❤
G wagon?
@@DG_lost_record #42177
Must have built it wrong.. the pnumatics for the side fins dont work... Dont really feel like starting over 😅
Are the pneumatics just on the hydrofoils? Cuz if so, it's a complete waste of money for me...
Yes that’s the only pneumatic function
Same. It does not even float...

I agree with you. Although they could’ve just put a manual pneumatic pump on the stand itself. I agree it’s definitely overpriced
This set is incredibly cool and unique!
Indeed! I hope for more sets like this in the future
@@Unbrickme Agreed,this would be epic!

What if the pneumatic is not working?
Oh man, that search sub was great back in the day. I totally didn't appreciate the pneumatic tank enough at the time. The Yacht is pretty cool.
@@ZER0_G I also didn’t appreciate a lot of functions of older sets when I first bought them

It doesn’t

Nope
Too expensive?
@Unbrickme the set itself is cool and all but for that price and no b model it isn't even a thought sadly. :(
So what I’m hearing is that Lego has the Emirates license…
Yep! Let’s hope for an emirates a380

I think it’s a great and functional build, but the price is quite high so I’ll wait for a discount.

Can you make a video where it’s like top (n) Lego technic tractors
