Bruce knew that filming was the only way to show the world Martial Arts, while there were many films before him, he helped popularize martial arts films and decades later here we are with Ip Man in it's 4th sequel, the man that trained Bruce Lee.
I took martial arts lessons for many years growing up because of Bruce Lee and Karate Kid. I haven’t kept up the hobby since I was 16, but I learned a lot ranging from how the body works, self defense, and how to be a good person in everyday life. I may no longer practice the tradition and sport, but Bruce and it certainly changed my life.
He also realised that traditional way of training was incomplete, which is the main weakness of the martial arts. Once masters stopped fighting, the element of pressure testing and sparring has gone missing, and the arts become non-functional.
It's the same issue with sword techniques like Thai Chi sword, or in Japanese Iaido and Battodo.
You can learn all the moves, cuts and everything, but without a lot of training in actual sparring, none of these would work in real fight, because your brain will not be prepared to react with them to fluid situation.
Before Bruce Lee realized he had to train himself.

Of course they’re not invincible, they would just more than likely beat a traditional martial artist to death.
Especially given the suggested parameters of this match up, with the weight and reach advantage of someone at an advanced skill level, Ip Man in his prime would have still been beaten to death.
He likely could have beaten a smaller less skilled Marine, but in this scenario no way.

Обрати ещё внимание на то , что ИПМАН принял его вызов (не опустил голову перед ним) , но и в последствии извинился за сломанный стол перед другими мастерами (проявил выдержку и этичный поступок ) не психанул и послал всех на*** перед тем как уйти.)) Другими словами он показал что у него тоже есть клыки , но ещё и есть мудрость. Так что на вопрос (являешься ли ты образцом?) он ответил (решительностью , мастерством и мудростью)

Ну, красиво же. А в реальном рукопашном бою, ясен пень, ничего эффективнее самбо ( настоящего армейского, а не той толкотни, которую детям в секциях преподают) человечество не изобрело и никогда не изобретёт. Принципиально разные цели. У винчуши, айкидичи и прочих восточных танцев цель - общая физкультура и вот такие комедии, у бокса и кудо - получить спортивную медаль, у самбо - максимально быстро и эффективно убить врага.
Поэтому самбо и прочие реальные боевые системы не показывают в кино - настоящее убийство не выглядит красиво. Зато вот винчушь и прочая туфта выглядят круто , большего в кино от них не требуется.
А по части комедии. Так почти любой голливудский боевик - комедия. Когда Джеймс Бонд убивает десятерых без перезарядки из шестизарядного кольта - это не комедия? А когда выстрел из винтовки с глушителя тише комара - не комедия? А когда главгер взрывом гранаты отбрасывается на три метра, а после этого ещё и бегает - не смешно? Этот фильм ничем не отличается от голливудских таких же сказок.
