Well what will keep the neighbors yard from washing down onto that driveway? I love these NC houses. A lot of them are built on banks and down in holes. I guess the beautiful hilltop locations were taken many years ago.

Wow, that looked like quite the tough site, here in the UK a lot of builders do the pile and raft method on soil, infact the housing estate next to me all the homes are sitting on piles and concrete rafts. I really liked the colours and layout of this home.

      Hi there!
Thanks so much for your comment! It's fascinating to hear how construction methods vary around the world. The pile and raft method is definitely a solid choice for ensuring stability, especially on tricky soils. It’s amazing how these techniques can create such sturdy foundations for entire housing estates.
I’m thrilled you enjoyed the colors and layout of the home! We put a lot of thought into every detail to make each project unique and welcoming. If you have any other questions or want to share more about construction methods in the UK, I'd love to hear about it!
      Cheers from North Carolina!
      Best,
      Mike

Would recommend a retaining wall on the left side of the driveway in lieu of just a curb

This is a beautiful and very roomy house. Could you build this one exactly as shown, but with a few modifications? Make the ceiling lower in the great room, and the laundry room downstairs?

Yikes sounds like there’s gonna be a lot of issues with this house to come in the future. Appreciate the honesty put forth.

This is the disgrace of Americans who continue to want bigger and bigger homes, that they don't need!!! More more more.. The irony is that family sizes have shrunk significantly from years prior, but house sizes have grown to an enormity!!

    • @tammyclark4618

Wow, bitchy much? Did you even listen to Mike actually talk about the house at all? It's that large due to having lots of kids. And what right to you have to complain about what others want? It's their choice and their money!! You act as if it's a personal attack on you. Jeez lady you need a nap, a vacation or both, maybe something else. But to get so pissed off over houses being built that has nothing to do with you is just crazy! What the hell is wrong with you?

      Hi there!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It's definitely an interesting topic to discuss. While it's true that average home sizes have grown, I think it's all about finding a balance that works for each family. Some people love having extra space for hobbies, home offices, or entertaining friends and family. It's fascinating how housing trends reflect our changing lifestyles and priorities, isn't it?
At the end of the day, the most important thing is that our homes feel like a sanctuary, no matter the size. I appreciate your comment and hope you'll stick around for more discussions and insights on our channel!
      Cheers,
      Mike

The land around this house and the slope of the neighbors house tells me that there will be water issues along with moss and water sogged lawn. I would not buy this house at all.
