I'm taking my family to visit the garden tomorrow😊😊 after watching your videos and knowing there is a beautiful garden exists. Thank you so much for sharing and we are very excited to explore the area tmr. 😁😁😁
A special place indeed, Jason! An excellent example of growing things that might otherwise seem quite out of place. The perennial idea is definitely a sturdier and easier way to maintain and preserve the space more naturally. Very smart of the volunteer staff to be thinking about the future, as well as investing the community in the process. So many wonderful spaces have been lost because of cost cutting and government decisions without our thoughts on the matter. It is fantastic to see places like this persevered even after the government has deemed it's usefulness over. Thank you Jason for sharing this.🤙
Thank you so much for this video! When we travel, we look for gardens to visit. We were delighted to find the Japanese Garden in Kelowna. Great surprise. This, also, will be a treat to see. Who knew??
Excellent video, thank you, these ladies are wonderful. Knowledge and experience. Without it, the next generation will not thrive. Do you have any videos of fruit trees on the prairies , like good variety raspberries, blueberries, haskapberries . Some different varieties that are from Europe or Asia. Apple varieties that may be more relevant to present prairies climate? Crabapples and different uses. Varieties, climate zone. What varieties of trees would be suitable for truffles? Hazelnuts? Can truffles be grown in a hi tunnel over the course of its life. IE, 5 year period. Figs, avocado, pomegranate? Something like that. Just a thought. Your videos stir up many questions about different plant varieties , while opening our eyes to many new horizons. Compost is really going to start being an issue, once everyone who grows something realizes they need it. Charles Wilber technique seems to be most appropriate. I haven’t had chance to test it. I’ll be Mobile this year, might get a chance before fall. What are your thoughts on compost?! Do you make your own or purchase? 👍👍🎯
