It certainly has made us consider winter seasonal. Might as well use the van all year round.

Good evening Nut have you got my cup in your van 😂 we can definitely recommend being seasonal either full time or winter. Nothing better then being all warm and cosy in van watching Netflix. Was you stood on a box in the showers because I could just see your head in the mirror 😂😉

Hi Martin. Sounds a good idea store and stay. We have just come back from a four night stay in Bakewell for the Christmas Market. Don't usually use the caravan in winter but we really enjoyed it. Weather not brilliant but nice and cosy in the van. We all pay good money for our caravans so getting the use out of them all year makes sense to me. Thanks for sharing 👍

Hi Paul, yes, we are the same and don’t usually use our van this late in the year. We were surprised how much we enjoyed it. Definitely looking at winter seasonal for next year.

Hi Martin, loved the video and enjoyed the company. As to the insurance issue, we contacted our insurance company and they put Silverdale as a secondary store, just £25 admin charge. Holgates required a £2M public liability limit, we had £5M cover so all good. Excellent security on site too. See you soon Ian

Certainly, a different way of doing a seasonal it's a good idea, especially with the time it takes after work, etc. Also good there is a clubhouse within a short distance away too you can make a weekend of it then.

Cheers for vid 👍🏻 Been seasonal for a few years now in Wales Great but even after draining down with taps in middle position and hot water tank taps left open they all Froze open with reminents of water and the site water tap posts frozen solid! Last January. Solution was a electric heat gun and a lengthy extension lead as well as some spare fuses for the water pump! Hope this helps peeps

Hi Martin we’ve been winter caravaning for years we store our caravan at a storage facility which is attached to a campsite so at least once a month we are using our caravan. So all we need to do is phone the campsite to book a weekend or longer stay and they tow our caravan onto a pitch so we can just turn up after work and the caravan is waiting for us just plug it in fill the water and we’re all ready for relaxing stay

This year we've put our van on a winter seasonal, it's brill, no towing in inclement weather, van set up just have to attach electric. Above all stops you thinking how poo winter is, would highly recommend 👍

Your reasons for winter seasonal is the same why i did summer. i couldnt get home on a friday then go to the storage as they were closed. and the faff. plus having to leave at daft oclock on a sunday.

The site looks nice and good facilities. We caravan year round and not had any issues. My only concern with pitching up for a weekend and then leaving the caravan unattended on the pitch all week is insurance. Might be worth checking with your insurance as some restrictions can be in place on how long a caravan can be left unattended on a pitch.you may need to tell the insurance of your new arrangements.
    Regards
    Peter

Hi Peter, yes if we were to do a winter seasonal we would need to let our insurance know. Already checked this out as we have friends who do the same over winter. Cheers
