    Thank you for this interview! I recently attended a conference where he was announced as a key speaker but the event turned out to be something a bit different. Willie was sat down and interviewed which narrowed what he could expand on. He didn’t get to speak about his book in such detail. I left the conference disappointed with the conference organizers for not allowing Willie Robertson and Bethany Hamilton give an encouraging speech like I know they can. Hearing him on your podcast was so encouraging! ❤

      I remember before my husband came home he was thinking about it but he was rejecting God. He used the phrase "work on it" and it bothered me. I only trusted God and waited on Him to do the work.

  • @timothyneumann6586
    @timothyneumann6586 Месяц назад

    I am overjoyed by the one conversation at a time concept. The objective justification is "Yes, Jesus saved all." The subjective justification is "I can receive the gift." The thing about who gets credit for the salvation of receiving. Is it a matter of taking and will or the matter of receiving and undeserved kindness? Wesleyans tend to insist on personal will and personal obedience. Pelagius was about the personal choice that saves the person by decision to accept the offer. Lutherans tend to speak the message to the hurting and the pain. The belief comes when the message is sure. The believer's prayer is a thing that can throw the believer onto an impossible petard, at least according to us. There are inconsistencies with the Gospel message in theological positions and personal conduct. It's extremely difficult when the biggest but that gets in the way of the message is yourself. I'm not talking about either of you in this video. I don't know enough. I am often talking about myself. We tend to be often self-effacing in the Lutheran tradition. We constantly scuttle our own credit and wallow in a mud pit, and other people call us so dismal and lonely, never living the victorious Christian life intentionally. We slapdash stumble into the good works God has prepared for us to do, sometimes even when we don't know it.

  • @jonahdav9589
    @jonahdav9589 2 месяца назад +7

    Church of Christ teaches that baptism by water is necessary for salvation and happens prior to salvation. It is a false teaching.
    Is the word of God your authority?
    God's word says,
    "I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert[a] the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
    For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ"

    Unfortunately, he claims that baptism is necessary for salvation, which is the mixing of works with grace.
    Water Baptism:
    Baptism, as depicted in the Bible, serves as a testament of the transformation experienced through faith in Christ. It represents a public declaration of one's private allegiance to Jesus, an outward expression of an inward conversion, symbolizing the washing away of sin and death and the rebirth into a new life in Christ. This sacred act is not a means of salvation but rather a response to the salvation already received through faith.
    In Matthew 28:19, we find Jesus' explicit command to baptize believers in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This directive underscores the essence of baptism as an obedient response to Christ's teachings and commission.
    1 Corinthians 12:13 highlights the unifying aspect of baptism, as the faithful are entered into one body by one Spirit, irrespective of their backgrounds or status.
    With the words “One Lord, one faith, one baptism,” Ephesians 4:5 again emphasizes unity among believers, a unity based on the foundational doctrines of Christianity, irrespective of non-essential differences.
    In Romans 6:4, baptism is vividly depicted as a symbolic burial and resurrection with Christ, representing the death of the old self and the emergence of a new life in Him. "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."
    Acts 8:36-38 recounts the encounter between Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch, highlighting the order of belief preceding baptism. The eunuch's confession of faith occurs before he is baptized, as a condition thereof, indicating that baptism ought only to follow genuine faith in Christ.
    Similarly, in Acts 22:14-16, Paul is urged to be baptized as a symbol of his commitment to follow Jesus. Baptism is portrayed here as an act of obedience and witness to the Lord's calling, signifying the washing away of sins through faith in the Messiah.
    Baptism, therefore, goes beyond ritualistic practice; it serves as a tangible expression of faith, a declaration of allegiance to Christ, and a public testimony to His transformative power. As believers partake in the waters of baptism, they affirm their commitment to follow Christ and proclaim His redemptive work to all nations.

    There is a constructive task of theology which is to spread the faith. There is also the seemingly destructive and polemical task of theology, which is to destroy error and preserve the truth. The thing that is scandalous is the Jesus pulled like Stretch Armstrong perfectly in every denominational direction. When there is The Life of Brian, it is the assumption that there is a Jesus II that is the pollutant in the world Christian witness and movement. No one wants to talk about Brian. They want to talk about the simple Jesus and stop referring to Brian. There are people when the Righteous Kill is to get rid of that Brian-ness. Brian's Song is that person who is not supposed to want to live in a way that rivals or arrogantly doubles Jesus in a way that steals his own glory. What kind of goodness is there in the way of Brian? Lutheran's have a document called Treatise on the Power and Primacy of the Pope, in which we say the way the Catholic is run is by human right or de jure humano. The Catholics will insist it is by divine right or de jure divino. So many people just hate the problems of institutional church wrangling and they want to check out of things like budgets, boards, and meetings because it's too complicated and forces people to deal with those who are sometimes too human and "hypocritical." Episcopal includes the Catholics, the Orthodox, and the Anglican/Episcopalians as well as some Lutherans. Presbyterian includes those ruled by groups of elders. Congregational includes those run by voter's meetings. How many ways there are of splitting up over how to run things? There are so many other reasons to not easily get along in the low boiling resentment over how things are to be done or taught.

    Willie is on the wrong mission. Paul is our apostle and we are ambassadors for Christ in a foreign land telling sinners their need to be reconciled to God by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ and His death, burial and resurrection.

    There is a basement in which there is a place that represents the kind of deep darkness of the impenetrable mind of God the Father. The black is where we cannot comprehend him directly ourselves. Jesus the mediator showed him to us. The white sand band of saints, martyrs, and holy people the world just has no love for are recognized by the Father for what is really in them. How much faith is really in each one? God knows. The Spirit put it in there. When we see anything white, what is the context? What is the reason? Are we be obviated by the sinful world that is dropping us as mashed potatoes because our spork is the wrong color? Who cares? We don't care about why we don't care. Let the world deride and attempt to destroy, and if we are correct we see God more quickly. If they really want to torture us, they will just want to watch us live with nothing but their bitter hatred. They think they win when they hate.

      I would suggest waiting until all the information comes out before forming an opinion. It was Palestine after all that lied about Israel bombing one of their hospitals when, in fact, it was Hamas who bombed their hospital parking lot. I am not saying that Israel did not do it or is not guilty. I am saying wait for all information to be released.
      A lie can travel around the world 10 times before the truth has a chance to put on its shoes.
      Edit: I looked into it. The reports that I saw showed that the IDF denied any involvement in the attack. Since they deny the accusations, it is the right thing to do to wait until all the information and facts come to light before we start pointing fingers. It is not unlike Hamas to kill their own people to blame Israel and for political gain. This is something that Candace Owens does not understand. She is nieve and ignorant when it comes to this issue. Be careful when you listen to her.

It used to be so simple. The whole language technique was a thing that hated the analysis of the parts of words in syllables, the parts of speech that make up sentences. The part for the whole figure of speech is the President of the United States representing perfectly each citizen. The whole for the part figure of speech doesn't work the same way.
