I've had this idea for a long time, but when a friend told me about ToraCon and their AMV contest, I just had to enter! Sadly it was sent in after the deadline...
This took 2 weeks, but of course I really waited until the last two days and sent this in under an hour before the deadline closed... Oops. Anyways enjoy! Details below :p

Explained:
Hinata knew the legends of the infamous "King of the Court"; Kageyama Tobio. He had to compete against his team in a Junior High tournament, but when they met it was unlike anything he ever expected. Memories flashed before his eyes, memories that he never even experienced. Why now? Why with this stranger? Despite Kageyama Tobio’s unamusement and doubts, Hinata knows that they’ve met.
Ever since that match, Hinata carried on, the memories heavy on his mind, and Kageyama’s words swimming in his head. “I don't know you.” Why had it had such an impact on him?
It wasn’t until his first year of High School that he met Kageyama again. This time, they went from destined rivals to destined partners. Along their way to partnership, Hinata can’t help but grow close to the stubborn setter. With each new experience, Hinata unlocks new memories, and he’s sure that they belong to him. The more they reveal, the more he knows the other person in his memories is Kageyama.
Although Kageyama is oblivious to the memories, Hinata holds them close, and continues to try and get Kageyama to remember. Over the course of their first year together, Kageyama denies it all, regardless of the duo’s bond. Hinata, being unable to control himself, keeps hinting towards their pasts, which results in Kageyama getting frustrated.
In the end, Kageyama’s memories are triggered by a sudden action of Hinata’s, and he remembers their promise.
The kiss scene took me about 8 hours :') and this took me 45 hours in all! I hope the subs make up for the shitty editing lol

That last part was nice. Reminds me of a video made by ren ren called Abemiha - Kiss the girl. It was nicely edited too. I highly recommend it to those interested in more AbeMiha stuff. The only part that makes me sad about this AU is that it kinda suggest Abe and Mihashi died somehow which is heartbreaking for me. Those two are my absolute OTP. Usually, I'd move on to new ships just after a few months but for Oofuri, it's been close to two years now and I still visit AMVs and watch cute clips of them. They really are like the spiritual ancestors of KageHina but gayer. lol

I understand your sentiment. But from what I read, Oofuri was popular too back in the days. I guess during that time BL and stuff aren't as widespread among anime/manga fans outside Japan. I really want those two to become known to a lot of newer BL fans. They're so adorable and perfect together even in canon.
