Hey Bill! Not sure if you still actively respond to messages on here but I had a few questions. I’m planning on building a similar surround and wanted to ask if the metal collar or the nearby wood gets hot? I was actually considering building the top out of trex plastic decking material because it’s weatherproof and would match my deck, but I’m concerned about how hot the nearby surface gets. Also, do you think the height of your table is appropriate compared to the height of the fire pit? I’m planning to make mine a few inches lower than the top of the solo stove to keep it a bit cooler, but wanted your thoughts on that too. Thanks!
That DIY handle is the bomb! Can you provide the measurements including how much clearance you left at each end to accommodate the locking latches? Thx!
I haven't forgot about you, I have been really busy with work, I actually think I am going to make a quick video on the DIY handle, a lot of folks were interested in it.
great video, short and to the point. Did your brother make the table legs, or where can I order? For the ring on the table, did you have to insulate/shield it? Just a heads up with using the Christmas tree for this careful with burning the Coniferous needles contain nitrogen and toxins when burned, making the smoke in your fire pit unsafe to breather.
The legs were from Amazon, the ring is a good idea because the sides get pretty hot, thanks for the info on the Christmas tree. I will keep that in mind
Great info, thanks for sharing! I've had my 2.0 a couple of months and I'm also worried the dog is going to catch his tail on fire or bump into it. My patio is very small but I am going to have to do some sort of surround. Have you ever had an issue with the surround table being made of wood? I saw you put drinks on it, etc., so does it not get too hot on the surround table with the DIY heat deflector? I just got the shield and I'll be making a DIY deflector like you posted, because the Solo brand shield and deflector don't fit to be used simultaneously.
Sir you made me laugh with that handle and trash can lid, its crazy how much we pay for things we can do ourselves. I am going to home depot tomorrow to do what you did. What is that black ring in the wood? Where can I get it? Are the legs from home depot as well?
That handle you made is absolutely ingenious! Awesome video, thank you!
Thank you, I saw something similar to it a few years ago and put my spin on it. It works well
Man that surround is a thing of beauty!
You know it brother builder.
What a doll! Solo should hire her! Thanks for the tips!
I really loved the home made tool you made for it
Great tips, ty! And that little model you got there is just the cutest thing ever!
Thank you

Where did you get the black ring for your table? Thanks
I've had the Bonfire 2.0 for a few months now, but that little hand broom is still a necessity. Thanks for the list of pro tips!

I have not had any issues. There is a metal ring in between the stove and surround
Where did you get the metal ring from please - it looks like it has a right angled profile?
Too clever -- thank you :)
Thank you!
How do you keep it so shiny on the outside. Ours is all discolored. It's like the same color as the ring. We keep it covered too!
Rod, I have no idea, I have never cleaned it

The black ring seems to be an insert from the outdoor pit set
Where did you get the metal circle rim on the table?
My brother made the table @kerfandcurve on Instagram you can dm him and he can tell you
@@justbill Hi Bill, I don't have Instagram. Can you please post how or where the metal ring came from? It would be much appreciated.

He said there are a couple options but the 20inch works for the Bonfire
@@justbill Awesome! Thank a million! 😁👍
How is the outside so clean compared to everyone else stove? It looks brand new.
Not sure, I have literally never cleaned it. I think maybe because I keep it covered.
@@justbill The stove looks good.👍🏾
nifty, which ring you use around?
