    This itself is still quite impressive. Walking machines usually require immense amounts of calibration before anything lasts - due to weight with the way joints work, they can start deteriorating minutes into function, and that's setting aside the issues of balance and range of motion (of which only the former applies to FNaF endoskeletons, since they're pretty much all ball joints).

    Considering entire companies like boston dynamics are formed to teach robots to walk, i dont think anyone should expect these to walk on their own. The fact you even attempted is very commendable! I think what may be more feasible is mimicking leg motion while they use the wheels. Something in the wheel platform to just push the feet up. As far as something for your music videos and short film, maybe puppeteering could work? Have strings run down and allowing them to dangle so the leg motors have less weight on them

    • @ThundaYT

      True, stability is a main component, the base to the endo he made isn't very sturdy, so it has trouble walking.

      Making a robot walk with a basic animation cycle would be possible i think, given powerful enough motors. Of course it would not be able to balance and react to forces in real time, but who cares?

      Not Quite. From what I have observed, The key missing here is the lack of a _MOBILE_ Support rig.
      Agility Robotics "Trained" the Algorithm in their Robots through the use of a Mobile Support rig that followed the robot around, think of it like the training wheels on a bike. If you just attach a String to the ceiling and expect the Robot to Walk even half decently, you should not be disappointed when it fails.

    Yeah, walking is a pretty complex concept, there's all sorts of balancing stuff that needs to go into it. The body of a bipedal animal is very complex, and id say pretty hard to replicate in a robot of that size. Hell, apes were barely even made for bipedalism, part of the reason humans have so many issues with their backs, knees, and hips! But the fact that you were able to even get it to take a few little baby steps is still impressive! Maybe next time!

    • @DanishSyawal

      @nabuchodonosormcgalapatram6941 Год назад +20

      I know they're trying to replicate the FNaF animatronics, but if someone want a bipedal robot to walk, instead of trying to make a humanoid robot walk, I'd advise them to look towards Theropod dinosaurs, their way of acheiving bipedalism is far more efficient.

    Try adding some hard to move motors, and figure out the point of mass so it can be stable when it walks. Add small light rods that connects each motor in the legs, and on the outside put something light like Styrofoam. I'm also not sure how the motors were programmed, most walking robots lean to the side to adjust their center of mass then they bring their knee up and moves forward. Keep trying to make these robots walk, It's more interesting to see them actually walk than to see them move with wheels.

    @gordotactico7800 Год назад +8

    Yes, it is so complicated to make an actual moving animatronic using mundane resources, im also creating one by myself so i understand the complexity of the situation. Anyways y came to a plan B. You can crate a two wheel based movement system like the staff bots of fnafsb. I know that that alternative will break the design of the lovely endo02 but lets be honest, Scott Cawthon can be a lot of things but mechanical engineer is not one of em. The only realistic Endo is the one from fnafsb.
    Creating a simple self-balancing robot is not hard. With a nice planning you can create an animatronic capable of moving around like a sentient or a drone.
    As you can imagine, the arms are going to be a nightmare but its something possible to achieve.
    I highly recommend creating an hydraulic suspension system. You can make it passive if you figure out how to make it work but a secondary self-balancing module can be a good option too.
    Ah, and your Endo looks amazing. Keep it up Mr Afton! 😉
