You could tell his heart was kind of breaking, hearing that Emma had to leave, a woman he was starting to love had to leave, and he would lose her. Like he lost Liam and Milah. 1:01, Hook's face again after Snow said (once again) "You have touched the lives of everyone here." And she has, mostly Hook because he gave up his revenge to help HER find HER son, made him want to change, to be the man of honor he once was for HER. And Hook's face at 1:46 when Regina said (seriously, once again) "You have to go." his head went down a bit, the same look of anguish on his face deepen a bit. It wasn't really a CS scene, but just their faces tell they were going through the exact same thing in their heads.
I just realized something. Regina said that Henry couldn’t go back to the enchanted forest because he wasn’t born there right? Does that mean that Alexandria (Ella and Thomas’s child) won’t be able to go back as well? Since she was born in StoryBrooke not the enchanted forest. :O
I just thought maybe to pay the price Regina should have stayed and outran the curse and Emma and Henry could have joined their family in the enchanted forest. That would have fulfilled the Regina having no contact.
Henry wouldn't be cursed because he isn't from the enchanted forest. He was born in the real world. So if she and Emma switched places, Emma would have to cast the curse and go to the EF with snow & David and Regina would have been with Henry in NYC
This answer is late, but it's because Neal/Bealfire is also from the EF. Everyone conceived there (except for Emma, who is the Savior) will be returned to where they came by Pan's new curse. Henry was conceived and born in our world, but everyone else was not.
Snow's rather optimistic in things. She loves her daughter dearly but is also able to recognise when there's no choice yet still be able see the best in that situation.
She had to do what she had to do. Like after Emma was born, she told David to put her int he wardrobe. She's being a mother here. Giving her and Henry their best chance.
Y’all are nuts. Did you watch the same scene I did? Goodwin’s acting here is extraordinary. All the little nuances-the pain in her eyes, the forced optimism for her daughter’s sake-are brilliant. She convinces the viewer that it’s her daughter and she’s determined to be brave for her even though it’s killing her. It was impressive throughout the show, but she should have won an Emmy for this scene alone. I can’t imagine being so ridiculously biased against a fictional character. The way some of you criticize Snow is insane. You cut other characters more slack for being mass murderers than you do Snow for acting like a flawed human being.
This is how the story should have ended. Neal and Emma take Henry out of Storybrooke and the curse is ended.The story would have gone full circle. And one big happy family.
