- My Pokémon Ranch has some fun cutscenes, but the requirements can sometimes be ridiculous. Here's all 29 My Pokémon Ranch events!
1: Attention
1 or more Pokémon
The Miis and Pokémon on the Ranch look at the camera from various angles.
2: Zigzag Parade
25 or more Zigzagoon
The Zigzagoon group up and run in a synchronized zig-zag.
3: Dash
Pikachu, Meowth, Bulbasaur, Munchlax, Teddiursa, Torchic
The Pokémon race to a finish line. Reference to Pokémon Dash for the Nintendo DS and its playable characters.
4: Sky Parade
11 or more Pokémon that can levitate or fly
The Pokémon float in a flying V formation around the Ranch.
5: Totem Pole
5 or more Pokémon
The Pokémon form a Totem Pole that wobbles and eventually falls over.
6: Hop-Hop Dance
20 or more Cleffa
The Cleffa hop back and forth in a circle around a bonfire.
7: Pikachu Party
20 or more Pikachu
The Pikachu stand in a group and take turns zapping each other with lightning.
8: Circle Dance
20 or more Pokémon of the same species
The Pokémon dance in a circle around a bonfire.
9: Ring Dance
20 or more Pokémon of the same type
The Pokémon dance in a circle around a bonfire. Identical to Circle Dance except in trigger condition.
10: Zigzag Dance
20 or more Zigzagoon or Bidoof
The Pokémon zig-zag around a bonfire.
11: Slow Waltz
10 Illumise and 10 Volbeat
The Pokémon slow dance in the sky around a bonfire.
12: Do the Wave
8 Plusle and 8 Minun
The Pokémon jump and wave in various patterns while forming a checkered pattern of Plusle and Minun.
13: Chorus
5 or more Igglybuff, Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff
The Pokémon sing the "Jigglypuff Song", putting any nearby Pokémon to sleep.
14: Carousel
40 or more Ponyta, Rapidash, Stantler or Girafarig
The Pokémon run in circles around a fountain. Miis can be seen riding on some Pokémon.
15: Clock
18 or more Pokémon, with at least one Hoothoot, Xatu, Celebi, Solrock, Lunatone or Dialga
The Pokémon form a large clock on the hour.
16: Keyboard
28 different Unown
The Unown form into a QWERTY keyboard formation. They then cry in the order and rhythm of the Alphabet Song, ending with ! and ?
Platinum Events (English names are my approximation):
17: "Dizzy Dance" クラクラダンス
20 or more Spinda
Spinda dance around a bonfire similar to Circle or Ring Dance, but stumble around instead of going in a circle.
18: "Sumo Parade" ドスコイパレード
20 or more Makuhita or Hariyama
A Mii leads the Pokémon around the perimeter of a sumo ring. The Mii stands in the center while the Pokémon stand on the edge and bow.
19: "Tournament" トーナメント
8 Fighting-type Pokémon
The Pokémon take part in a 1v1 single elimination tournament. Each round the two Pokémon bow to each other before one is sent flying. When one Pokémon remains it jumps around while confetti falls.
20: "Whack-a-Mole" ディグポン
12 Diglett/Dugtrio and 1 Rock-type Pokémon
Diglett and Dugtrio pop in and out of the ground while a Rock-type Pokémon attempts to drop rocks on their heads.
21: "Oshikura Manju" オシクラマンジュウ
20 Wynaut
Wynaut run together and occasionally fly out of the huddle. A reference to a Japanese children's game to stay warm of the same name.
22: "Flower Dance" フラワーダンス
20 of Bellossom, Skiploom, Sunflora or Cherrim
Flower-themed Pokémon jump in place.
23: "Journey" タビダチ
20 Jumpluff
The Jumpluff start in a spherical cluster before scattering to the wind like dandelion seeds.
24: "Orbit" キドウ
Solrock and Lunatone and at least two round Pokémon such as Wailmer, Shelgon, Togepi, Gastly, Tangrowth, Seedot, Drifloon, Spheal, Exeggcute, Glalie, Forretress, Natu, Marill, Chansey or Jumpluff
Solrock spins around as two spherical Pokémon orbit it, with Lunatone orbiting one of the other Pokémon creating a model Solar system.
25: "Resurrection" フッカツ
7 or more Fossil Pokémon
Fossil Pokémon rise up from the ground.
26: "Facing North" キタムキ
10 Nosepass or Probopass
Nosepass and Probopass line up in a row reminiscent of the Easter Island Moai. Name references how Nosepass faces magnetic North.
27: "Swimming/Gliding Jump" スイスイジャンプ
20 or more Water-type Pokémon that live in the water
Water Pokémon flood the Ranch with water and swim around with coordinated jumps.
28: "Showdown" タイケツ
Two rival Pokémon
Two opposing Pokémon glare at each other while lightning and meteors crash around them. Proven pairs are as follows:
Dialga vs Palkia
Kyogre vs Groudon
Zangoose vs Seviper
Kingler vs Craudaunt
Krabby vs Corphish
Farfetch'd vs Farfetch'd
Hitmonchan vs Hitmonlee
Beautifly vs Finneon/Lumineon

Despite multiple sources I could not get Darkrai vs Cresselia to trigger nor could I find video proof.
29: "Rotom Roulette" ロトムルーレット
6 different Rotom Forms
Rotom's forms circle around a lightbulb in front of a Mii. After coming to a stop all but the closest Rotom to the Mii vanish. The remaining Rotom closest to the Mii then scares them before vanishing.

For events that require specific species of Pokémon, but have multiple acceptable species I have indicate the species used in parenthesis. This includes events that just require multiple of any single species.
*I don't know how specific this event actually is, but I listed these species just in case.

@@Kadereuh Hey, don’t forget it also resets your moves now so you can’t transfer moves between games anymore! That feature was too fun and incentivized transfer so this is a much better reality
Pokémon ranch might’ve been lame, but if I had triggered sky parade, I would’ve held onto that memory my whole life-wow

I love pokemon ranch. I remember when all my pokemon there got into a tower formation for the first time...
Also, o never owned the ds games, so I just have random free pokemon that would appear there.
Finally, my grandfather, who now rests in peace, will forever be there in Mii form looking over my pokemon.

This exactly! My grandfather got this game for me on our Wii not knowing that it practically required the DS games to play. He and I would check in on it whenever a new Pokemon was available. I miss him and the time we spent.
I also got this game before I ever had my first mainstream Pokemon game which was Pokemon Y. Getting a new Pokemon everyday was the most exciting part. :')
Wish Home did more of this or at least add the Poké Pélago features to the app
I'm sure #19 "Tournament" is supposed to work with any fighting Pokémon, but with this group it just looks like fed up parent Hariyama beating up on their kids XD
Loved quite a few of the events. The very low polygon nature of the Pokémon was quite charming.

I would recommend checking out the Pokemon Rumble titles. They use the same artstyle, and they have simple (but fun) gameplay.
Porygon fits right in due to being polygonal until evolution
Man, I wish the Platinum update had come to NA. I had over 500 Wynauts that would have been perfect for that "Oshikura Manju" one.
Oh man, I just remembered that the Magikarp in this game would have jumping contests, and sometimes they’d jump hundreds of feet in the air! They were so fun to focus on.
I love that in the event of 19 seviper and bulbasaur, they just fell asleep in the middle of the battlefield XD
So many cool ones in the platinum update...but I didn't see the one where they all came together to make a Pokémon sprite...I have a ton of those cause I had few hundred Pokémon deposited...using the palate but maybe that wasn't a numbered event but I loved seeing what Pokémon they would make
The Poké Palette is a toy, so I didn't include it. Maybe if I make a video covering the toys of the ranch in the future :)

Talk about a throwback. That event music has been firmly locked in the back of our psyche for over a decade and this just firmly disloged it from our head.

All of them are so adorable, but I wish they had a more varied soundtrack... the same like 5 notes over and over again feels like a fever dream
love that 06: Hop Hop Dance is basically just the bunny hop except they added a fire to make it look like a Ritual and also to make you fear for a moment that the cleffa are gonna take three jumps straight into that fire
This channel is great because it’s a smart, well-spoken person who actually puts in good research and effort into videos. So much of what Pokémon is on YT nowadays is just recycled “super ultra nightmare nuzlocke!!!” Stuff or faked Showdown replays.
The race one reminds me of pokepark. This game is so weird and nostalgic. I think it received some event pokemon in Japan which always interested me. It wouldn't surprise me if the game held more secrets
Yup, in Japan during the Pokemon Sunday Show they would distribute unique NPCs over the internet who represented the hosts, who would trade you their Pokemon
That event is referencing Pokémon Dash. All of the 'mon featured in it can be your opponents besides Pikachu, who you play as.
Been trying to get all these as a kid..only got about 15...thanks for completing my childhood
I would love to see all of the Pokemon's special movements, like Togepi rolling, Psyduck having a headache, Abra teleporting, etc.

haha i had to check the description for 22/23, i didnt realize it changed over to a new one and thought one of the pokemon ranch events evolved a bunch of skipbloom for u 😭
Funnily enough those 20 Skiploom did then go on to be the 20 Jumpluff in the next event, but I had to evolve them manually

My favorite event is definitely the event 23. It feels so pure and whimsical, however it is so short! I love it!

Is #19 Fight Club? 😅 I’ve never seen a Wii in person or heard of this game, but I watch Phin to learn about all the stuff I’ve never played before (my first Pokemon experience of any kind is Shield, which I got 2-3 months ago). I was really intrigued by the idea of a game with so many unknown/unseen elements even being able to exist in such a monumental franchise…

Actually, for the rotom one, it might seem it picks the rotom closest, it actually just chooses one at random. I even had to slow it down and in fact, the chosen rotom was actually the farthest! This was some amazing content, I am so glad to have seen this! I love the pokemon toy franchise!

Thank you so much for making this video, this means a great deal to me. I love my pokemon ranch deep in my heart, i'd consider it one of my favorite pieces of software Ever. The great soundtrack coupled with the adorable Pii models and colorful ranch and special attributes tied to pokemons natures, shininess, etc show a great deal of care was put into this game that i don't see recognized. This game introduced these models and it's so clever what they did. They managed to make 1500 pokemon appear on screen by making these adorable Mii-inspired models to not just be a storage app but an adorable little time waster and give cute incentives for dppt owners I adore it oh so much. I hightly recommend importing the two books My pokemon ranch got in japan, one is a photo album to put your ranch screenshot photos in and another is a guide book which still hasn't been fully scanned and translated to english so there are more secrets to be discovered! It hurts me to see hate for this game when it set out to do what it wanted To Do perfectly and flawlessly. I don't really want to make this comment about myself lmao but i love rumble as well, I have the largest documented pokemon rumble, ranch, pkmn mystery dungeon wii merchandise collection in the world so i hope that shows my dedication. This game was such a comfort for me when I was younger and it's why "mypokemonranch" is my username on twitch, pokemon showdown, and official pokemon website account. Again, thank you for documenting all this information because I was personally looking for the platinum events online for a very long time and Im shocked I only found this video until just now (haven't been active in the pkmn community for a bit). One last thing I will mention is that there is some pokemon rumble/ranch lost media tied to a flash game which I could send details about if requested and I'd love to build a search campaign but I haven't started a search publicly because of the weird amount of disdain i see towards ranch/rumble online. But events like rumble weekend show me that people love these games and that makes me so happy and joyful. It would be nice if these had a hint system like New Pokémon Snap.
Pokémon Ranch isn't a bad WiiWare game. I like it's like a Pokémon Box for Generation 4 with the farm with Pokémon of your own in it to look at and watch them interact. It's definitely more interesting compared to Pokémon Home. Like how well the Miis match well with the Pokémon models too.
Remember that one time with a hacked Wii, I'd place the Pokémon in ranch and copy the save data, so I could have legit copy Pokémon. Definitely cheating, no doubt.
Amazed that Pokémon Ranch got updated in Japan with it's own unquie cutscenes.
Never had this game, but love the cute chibi style of the pokemon in it. :3 Shame so much of it was locked to just Japan though.
This is the most unexpectedly amazing crossover. I saw your name in the comments section of BlueBoyPhin's latest video, but I thought it was an imposter because there was a space between 'Sir' and 'Toasty.' It is incredible that you were able to actually do all the special events.

Wish international versions received the Platinum update. By the way, I believe Platinum isn't compatible in general without the update, but I've wondered, does anyone know if HGSS is compatible with the Platinum update?
HGSS is not compatible with any version of Ranch, but Pokemon with the "Johto region" location will sparkle for having a special location

Strangely the game does obliquely acknowledge HGSS: If a pokemon has a rare met location (usually event locations like Newmoon Island and Flower Path) the game gives it a blue sparkle animation. This applies to any Pokemon from Johto, oddly enough
