Probably one of the most unique car wash systems I've ever seen! Never seen anything like this before. And I do have to agree with you on the "driving yourself" thing with all of the pre soak and other soapy water getting in your way.. still very nice though!
Early model Autecs also didn't have the ability to retract the mitter as you drove in. Now... THAT got awkward with your windshield half blocked by mitter strips.
Just found this too. Istobal does an Express on rails concept that is similar and adds tire shine functions. WAY more popular on west coast. Ive seen people couple this with club memberships, and they are effective.
I filmed an Autec that had the presoak as you came in as well. I thought the same thing. I even commented in my video that you can't see where you are going. It's definitely an interesting design choice.
Great system.... did a good job, price was good, and I liked how bright it was with all the glass letting in the natural light. Just wish the dryer gave a bit more time. That part seemed a little rushed. Good video :)
Normally, there would be a switch on the floor that activated the dryers later during the drive out, if you noticed the sign on the dryer time. This must have been removed at some point.
Autec is a popular car wash choice especially in southern Maryland. Locations include Lexington park, callaway, leonardtown, patuxent river, solomons, and charlotte hall.
I have one In-Bay Express in my area, but I am not sure if it is even open anymore. It is in a terrible location that is hard to access. You can see it, but it is hard to get to. The last few times I have seen it, it isn't looking very promising. These are also very popular in Arizona. Autec basically dominates the car wash industry there.
If my guess here is right, I’d say this was formerly a Shell station that was eventually sold to Murphy USA. It’s interesting you don’t really ever see a Murphy with a car wash. Also, as an interesting side note, Walmart and Murphy USA are not part of the same company. As it turns out Murphy USA is owned by Murphy Petroleum and is only partnered with Walmart.
can you do the car wash across the street from the sunshine car wash its a laserwash G5 here is the link www.google.com/maps/@35.1415702,-89.7954162,3a,15y,90.06h,87.01t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sgUqhxSqlRBM9VmWRvEnCHw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1
Ok, this wash left me with so many thoughts swimming through my mind. Some were good, like the attendant prepping the car, driving through the spot-free rinse so all the soap leaves the car and mitter curtains acting like mitter curtains for an in-bay system (which I thought was ingenious). And some are, why? Like the pre-soak as you're entering the bay. It would've been smarter to do the pre-soak just after you stopped. But overall, like you, I liked this wash.
The presoak needs to be adjusted for sure because it could make it to the point where you break the machine. And you could waste money on just that liquid that sprays out a lot and makes the tank go empty after a use.
AES 300 Machines were never made. They only had 2 series. The AES-200 Series and the AES-400 series soft touch systems. They also had the ATF-1 touchless system-rare-. This is neither a 200 nor a 400. This is a whole different type of machine. This is the Autec EV-1. You can tell by the combination wash that only the EV-1 comes with. It also has a touchless option for the $9 dollar wash.
It's ok, I figured you meant 200. One difference between the EV-1 (also called evolution) is that the EV-1 has a combination wash option and a touchfree option. The combination wash was seen in this video at 5:19 when the brushes and the high pressure were going at the same time.
Sadly there used to be one of these not too far off from me. However, it as well as a few other things, were bulldozed to make way for a new Kum & Go station.
They should make the soap more dialuted with water so you can see a bit without your wipers. If your car didnt have wipers then you'd literally be driving blind
Hey I just found a car wash in Cincinnati called The Suds Car Wash on Google maps they have a touchless Nexus magic wand system you should check it out
This is cool, I'm normally not a car wash fan, but I like this system here
8:04 - See the tornado siren near the Exxon station? It's a yellow contraption on top of a pole. Probably in another video.
BTW, here's a link to an old video of it running:

Very nice, fast and unique setup.
I went through a similar Autec system while in Corpus Christi, TX on vacation, I believe they're very unique and awesome!

I believe dryer timer was reduced by the extra time spent in the spot free rinse zone. Just a theory.
Awesome automatic car wash
i love your car wash videos i really love it
Am I the only one that didnt notice that yellow P-50 siren off to the left at first at 7:58.

The Elevator Channel happen to catch another nu star soft touch system yet.

If I am not mistaken, Autec's In-Bay Express is available with drive-thru triple foam detergent.
SF Car Wash Channel Haha. Maybe they should add a blindfold dispenser at the pay station while they're at it :)
SF Car Wash Channel We went through one in Corpus Christi where it had a pull through tri-foam arch, yes, Autec has that option.

That's a cool autec car wash.
Most models for Autec In-Bay Expresses used the E-V1 Model, The model shown here isn't a E-V1, but hey, it still looks cool.
next time your in IL come to creave cour we have a southern pride and a lazerwash system sp wash is at super wash and LW is at 3$ carwash
This is the best car wash ever
It looks like what happens when they renovate a tunnel into an in-bay unit and couldnt turn the tunnel building into a standard in-bay building
He did a video Of a atc 425

I find it interesting how the cycle indicator sign looks like a traffic light.
Something all divers can relate too.

How much longer do you have this "Tennessee Running" to do?
I go all over with work, so I'll be back many times I'm sure. Memphis is one of the few cities that's actually in driving distance for me.
I mean how much longer - do you know - of having to go to Tennessee?
I love your car wash video
That's a combination between drive through and automatic car wash
I like that syestem
First comment! Just so you know, these are extremely rare.
I believe this is actually a Combination wash. The person ahead chose the soft touch wash. (2 pass brush/mitter, no high pressure).
I don't think I ever seen car wash like that in area where I live if there was I will not able to remember it.
Whoever is reading this, have a wonderful day. 😘😁😊😛😉
