I love that you took the time to review these I love using them for my cube. I'm glad you did this, as the professor not reviewing the new product is hurting Dragon Sheild
Thank you for reviewing this! I was wondering why the professor never went back to reviewing the redesign. He probably didn’t know or maybe he’s been very busy. I sent him a comment letting him know of the redesign. This has helped me figure out if I wanted to get this product or not. Cardamajigs are nice, but the website can be very weird. I like buying dragon shield products; so it’s nice to know these dragon shield cube shells work now. (:
I love these, just 2 small things to add on. 1. The cube shell has a thickness of 12mm or 1/2inch, its great for dice and tokens. The side of the case also acts as a "spout" so the stuff doesn't fall all over the place when retrieving dice. 8-10mm D6 are perfect for this case. 2. The bottom of the case has a smooth side to write things on. Or a smooth surface for adhesive labels.
Great review! Thanks a lot for doing this review, ever since the Profs video I was wondering if they updated the shells and couldn't really find any information. And since Cubeamajics aren't really available in europe, the dragon shield cube shells are the perfect alternative! Keep up the great work!
Just got back into Magic after a long hiatus (Return to Ravnica) and I've been really excited to get start building a cube and collecting the accessories that come with that process. Super helpful review, I appreciate the work you put in and I'm very glad to see that these shells are in a better place than they were before!
Thanks for posting this review. I will definitely be picking up some. In terms of cube storage, I am currently using a KMC 1000 card barrier box for my pauper cube. This is probably the most cost effective option outside of using fat packs, like you are. I also currently have a second cube in the works that I’m storing in an ultimate guard Arkhive.
Thanks for the review. I've been using the old cube shells for about 2yrs now and they got damaged (deformed, bended). They're still usable, but not visually pretty. Prof also compared the durability between the dragon shield cube shells and the cubeamajigs ones, and concluded that dragon shield was weak to stress. I wonder if that has improved with the new version.
Bought this product then watched the profs video and was like DAMN I thought I wasted my money. Then they came and were fine, realised they had that they were a new design on the box. Great product, really happy to simulate that booster experience
Hello and thank you for the review, what im hearing is everything over 17 single card sleeving you wouldnt recommend? im thinking about buying these for Jumpstart boosters, so i can reseal them and play them over and over again. and they are 20 cards
Awesome review! For cube storage, I'll usually use a Stanley's parts box since that holds everything all in one. I used an Ulitmate Guard Stack n safe, but I needed 2 to hold everything.
I use the old ones not for cube but for organizing table top games. I really like the area they gave for you to write something on top of it. it looks like they removed that. The new design is really good tho, way better than the old one.
Great review! In the process of making my first cube got myself cubeamajigs cause the designs are stella but the shipping is not so when i make another cube will be happy to try these out now i know they are better. My cube is 450 cards (30 packs of 15) and stored in a BCW long box thing but will be getting myself either the Ultimate Guard Arkhive or a Dex Protection Supreme Game Chest. Also going to be using the basic ultra pro standard deck boxes to store 3 packs each and hand them out for the draft and to use as temp storage while the draft is happening cause they fit 3 cubeamajigs just fine.
Thanks so much for doing this. I got a box of Jump Start 2022 and I wanted to know if this would be worth it to keep the packs as they were when opened. 👍🙏
thanks for testing with 20 cards. that's essential for double masters drafts or jump-start "drafts". maybe the glossy sleeves will fit 21, since they're thinner?
@@sprEEEzy Which is interesting, because my old cube shells fit twenty single sleeved cards (dragon shield matte) plus the jumpstart theme card fine. I thought I might switch over to the new ones, but maybe that's not such a good idea, after all.
Thanks for the review I was looking at these to sleeve upstart some jumpstarts I hate that it doesn't hold 20 single sleeved cards but the previous one would u just have to pay attention while u did it
And I seriously didn't cotton on to that when I was watching the review! Since I am using these for Jumpstart I guess the older ones are the better option for me at the moment.
i dont play mtg but i know for ygo dragon shield makes pretty good sleeves, lots of ppl use em at my locals. id imagine same QA across all their products
@@Siptogaming Interesting question. I don't tihnk I would, yet, because I don't really play TCGs that much. This is a hobby, at least at the moment. Would be handy to have such channel, tho.
They state it is suitable for 20 single sleeved cards and based on this video it seems that 21 single sleeved should be doable. I like to keep front art card with my Jumpart boosters as well, but in this case I would rather put sticker on the shell instead, to identify booster theme inside.

What do you store the cube shells in? I was thinking an ultimate guard case, just trying to figure out what it fits

If they are, they could fit!
Could you check to see if they would hold 21 single-sleeved cards, for the 20 cards in a JumpStart booster plus the cover card?
Ive checked in the video - 17 single sleeved before they start bending. You can fit 20+, but id def not recommend

How many of these will fit into the Arkhive 400+?
Don't have that product, but if it helps, 12 fit in a fatpack without the insert.

I'm using a lot of their board game sleeves too - Arcane Tinmen. It's basically the same company.

Im actually a bit confused if 20 single sleeves fits or not.
Solution: Just have the lands stored separately.
Do they fit in a deck box like a Boulder?
Just tested and unfortunately, they do not. Still one of my favourite products!
Which are the exact sizes in cm? Thank you ;)
Thanks for the video. Very helpful.
How many of these can fit in a fat pack box?
8, when you remove the inner slot from the fat pack
They are best for underpowered overbudget rigged cubes with your friends
Super late but try 5 packs of 9 for 4 person drafts
I think, those shell's are amesome for the jumpstart decks.
