It's me. I'm the person still playing Alter.
Edit: I do tac cool down. It's extremely useful in fights. I find the infinite Ult isn't useful, as most of the time you end up out of range and aren't able to use it.
Alter is busted rn if you play PC because of all the weirdo incell sweats/cheaters. Really the last few season. If youve played Alter on MnK for a while, you shouldn’t ever complain or complained in the past. She’s shit on MnK unless you’re the 1% pro style player constantly playing competitive. If you’re running her on controller/mainly console you’re new to the game and you’re an idiot for using her as your main.
@@Monkey_11 K. Definitely not new nor bad at the game. I enjoy the new legends, as I've been playing since the day the game released. I have almost 5k kills on Octane. I've mained every legend in the game except the ones that release with the new seasons. So keep crying or get better
@@MtHermit oof. You’re actually a long term octane main👀👀. Im jk man. Im a mirage main, since season 5. Which is the hardest main to argue as good as I see him. I played Blud and Octane before him, I have atleast 1k kills with the two. Not even 3k with mirage. Im a very casual player.
I wasn’t trying to be insulting, I was just giving my input. You just found my input insulting, really wasn’t my intention though bud. I love all Apex players new and old. I just haven’t played with a lot of Alter main who’ve been playing for awhile but that doesn’t mean I’m right and you’re wrong. I played heavy 20 and early 21 but didn’t play since 13. I really haven’t played since the first few weeks of 21 because the cheating/teaming became too common for me to compete. Once again, I didn’t mean to sound like I was talking shit if that’s how it seemed.

Personally, I think it's because the daily missions now demand you play 4 games on a character. I used to play a couple warmup games on the mission legend, then have fun. Nowadays I only get on Apex to do the dailies and get burned out by the time they're done. The game's just more stress than payoff these days.
Honestly yeah… like I play games to have fun not stress, I stress enough at work and daily life lol

Play one game with about 1000+ Damage and bam, the next round only Preds Masters with 20 Kill and 4K Badges 😂 Its just a pain in these lobbys

I played every season until like 6 months ago and hopped on 3 months ago and hated it, it just felt like I was getting cooked every game. Starting playing again a week ago and it feels a lot better balanced than 3 months ago on my end

She's incredible for 3rd parties, but her kit is all about location and timing. Fun legend to mix things up when you get bored.
solos went from all alters in the beginning of the season to all horizons with havocs a week later
I love Alter! She’s so good , I think people just don’t know how to play her. She’s similar to wraith and Ash I feel. You have to play for you and only use your ult when you are about to push a team.
I think the fact you can see how much health they have when you travel through the alter portal is a big help.
Still main Conduit. I always play support but I really like that her kit feels like it has a bit of skirmisher and controller mixed in. Her passive is free Octane stim, and her Ult definitely feels like a controller legends. You can play differently with her so it keeps things interesting. I always try the new legends off ranked for fun, but I definitely know to stay in my lane and Alter is no where near it. I see more people upgrading her tac than her Ult though. The Ult is really hit or miss and the only real benefit I've seen from it is you can take it when knocked. Not seeing her every match like when she came out for sure, at least not on ranked.
i like infinite ult duration if youre already inside zone and you want to leave and hunt outside zone. you can take her port regardless if the hunt is successful or not

I had a building locked down with Wattson the other day and team standing on the roof above us. Next thing you know they alter Q into our room and destroy us. Pretty powerful. I am yet to use Alter ultimate in the midst of a gun fight, always get killed before I can open the port. But porting back downed teammates is really powerful. But I would still pick Wraith over Alter, I like her personality better

i always do ult cooldown and infinite ult duration. there’s very specific situations where you use her tac, and having a reset on an infinite cooldown is way better than a tac cool down (imo)
I can see that. I main Alter as well and always do tac cool down and see health when using tac. Have you found that your teammates use the Nexus more often when it's up infinitely? I personally didn't see the value but I'm always open to suggestions and differences in play style
@@MtHermitit depends on the legends my teammates are playing honestly. i usually pick the infinite timer when their legends have no mobility or escape options, or when i have a legend with a special rez (lifeline, mirage, etc.) it all really depends on your teams play style. if your team is more aggressive i suggest the tac cooldown.

I like alter a whole lot but im finding it difficult to make plays with her wall holes. Im getting better at placing them but usually jumping into the middle of a room isn't a good play
Try using her tac as a decoy. A lot of the time the team on the other side will push through out of curiosity or ego. Or try listening to your surroundings before pushing through. It'll never be perfect but it might help you survive more sticky situations
Tac Cooldown is better than infinite lasting ult
just a tip spec for any one plat or below dont expect your teamate to do anything well and do it on your own (most of the time)
Legit aside from Maggie and Horizon I haven’t properly used any legend for long in their release season lol, it’s usually on the next season that I’m like I want to play more of the new legend from the previous season 😂

I died from a 3 thousand kill alter the other day. I actually felt sad for bro 😂 they need human interaction immediately
100% I’m a mirage main season 5 and beyond and I barely have that many kills. I think I suck at the game but Apex has become so incredibly sweaty it’s hard for “casual gamers” like me to even keep up. I play console but all my friends are PC so I play PC lobbies 95% of the time and it’s not an enjoyable game to play anymore, I used to compete in a way I was proud of myself but my K/D went from 2.1 career to under 1 the last 5 seasons.
I won’t even mention cheaters because of how prevalent they are now and how I used to be able to compete with soft cheats but the last few seasons has completely deterred me from the game. I enjoyed the new solo LTM for about 2 weeks until weirdos started to abuse their lack of control with cheaters…. Apex was my favorite game(FPS tbh) for a few years but it’s obvious they only care for financial gain now as opposed to an incredible shooter for the masses.

This is hilariously real, even up until a few days ago every game I joined I had an Alter teammate then she vanished, yesterday weirdly it was Loba every game had a Loba which was unusual
all the alters just went back to horizon when they realized you have to actually use ur brain to get value from her kit.
her ult should be yeetable like a horizon ult its still gonna not be a good traversal option like ash's ult would be but it would open up for more plays.
Alter is definitely an OK legend, I've been getting a few on my squad in ranked recently and I've enjoyed the positioning ability from the tac and the reset from the ult. Definitely not the legend I see the least. Got grouped up with some guy who had a #280 Pred Badge and he had 7,500+ kills on Alter and was a pretty chill guy. Also, what lifelines picks the self revive and when does it actually get pulled off??? Your teammate I guess lmao...

The player base is so obsessed with playing meta legends and weapons that every game looks the same. 1Lobby: 20Blood,20bang and 20catalyst. I have 1400kills with her and I can tell you that the average teammate doesn't even know how to use her ultimate. She's good but not for soloquing

I wish people would stop going on about the Havoc, its been like it is for how long now? A long time. People only going on about it now, because the other guns suck. Its not op'd. Its the same havoc thats been here for a couple of years now. That should tell you how stupid all the other " meta " guns have been, when a gun that hasnt been touched in years is now considered " OP'D ". Its always been good.

She's not fun. Her passive is mid. Her tac makes 5 characters useless,causes glitches, and ruins positioning. Her ultimate is only good for resets and third-party escapes.
