I like the Surpass, in particular, as a grocery card for $15k/year of spending, which is very close to what my family of five spends in a given year. Used in this way, the Surpass offers an uncapped free night reward, 90k points, and $200 in credits all for a $150 annual fee and $15k of grocery spending that I would be making anyway.
i got the hilton honors and surpass at the same time when they had the FNC offers. so now i got 300,000 points and 2 free night certificates from the 2 welcome offers. Planning a trip to iceland next year and probably will use those FNC at the hilton in Reykjavik
For redemptions do 5th night free at higher end destinations. We did a Waldorf in Florida this summer for 1.2 cents a point Standard rooms may not have the view out the window your looking for. But as a Diamond they may give you that "upgrade" and upgrade you to a room in the same class but with the view you wanted. No guarantee.
@ oh nice. Cuz I have chase points. Didn’t wanna now start to worry about Amex points lol. So can you double dip? 14x points on booking on the Hilton app, plus the points for the stay after the stay?
I like Hilton hotels, and I stay at them often, and I think their credit cards can be quite valuable, but I rarely get 0.5 cpp in actual value for their points. I usually get 0.3 and sometimes 0.4 cpp.
If one has the Hilton no annual card and do maintain a good credit standing on that card, does Amex proactively offer an upgrade to the next level card, let say the Surpass card?
Yes. They will usually offer an upgrade after about a year of holding the card. You can also chat with them and ask if there is an upgrade offer available. But I would recommend just applying for the Suprass card on it's own. The Sign Up Bonus will be more than the upgrade offer would be. And you can cancel the no annual fee card if you don't want to keep it anymore!
If the upgrade offers you additional points, you can get a new Aspire, then also take the upgrade offer and earn all these points on two cards. If you were to upgrade first then you wouldn’t get the SUB for a new Aspire.
Going to Kona November, Maui in January and HNL July. Waldorf Astoria Maui is the best Redemption in my opinion. The nights for New Years are over $1500. We uses 5th night free using points in Kona and Maui and FNC in July combine with points at HNL.

Make sure you get enough points for the 5th night free too.
@@theplatinumog3283 I already have more than enough points for that. Thanks though.
I work at Hilton and already get nights for 40-60 dollars with the team member rate but going to optimize it with the card if it allows me!
❤Hilton. For the Stay❤
Excellent information young man…
Love the surpass card! I scored 5 nights free in the Conrad Seoul
FYI the Hilton Aspire is a metal card
I realized that... hahah whoops. When I was writing this script I was remembering the old card design. Nice catch!
Would love a video on southwest companion pass and if you use it or not. Thanks
I can add that to my video list!

That's a great redemption!
Stupid question. The 5X back etc is that on Amex points or HHonors points
All of the points from these cards are Hilton Honors Points!

Any 3 card data points??

It defiantly can be difficult to find those higher redemptions. But if you're flexible, you can wait and find those higher ones!
Haven’t grabbed the Aspire yet but plan on it early next year. So far I have climbed up the ladder and have gotten the rest of them.
Great job!!

I got a free night reward
Where did you use it at?
@@LK_EBMstill didn’t redeemed it
I have the Surpass, Hilton just emailed me asked if I wanted to upgrade to Aspire, should I take the upgrade or just apply and try for the SUB?

We have 3 aspire cards. Thinking about getting a 4th in December.
That's awesome! What has been your best redemption for those three free night rewards?

@FlyWithRookie very nice! Well done!
Yall rmr when the surpass used to have 10 annual priority pass visits? That was a nice steal!
