You don't need to be aggressive in a superior car. He know he'll passed both merc from testing and qualy stats. Even lance passed russel in a merc so it's pretty easy. Just like max last year in spa, just be patient.
Absolutely! Russell and Alonso are intelligent drivers, they're professionals, not only quick drivers, but they also have race craft and don't have the mental age of six-year-olds. They understand how to defend an overtake and to pull one off, when it's worth defending and when it isn't. Hamilton and Verstappen, not so much, they just have/had unbeatable cars. Alonso saying Hamilton can only race from the front, has some truth to it, the same was true of Vettel. Out in front, in unbeatable cars, they looked great, but then who wouldn't?

And for the most part I’d say it is fair racing.* *Saying especially max too is just a low blow maybe he’s better at it because Lewis was here before max so where and who do you think set the bar when he got there*
i absolutely love how everyone just accepted Alonso will get a podium only after FP2 pace... no matter how much media makes him a villain every single person who understands racing knows even if the car falls a bit short in pace for podium Alonso is the only driver who can overdrive it and make it happen

It may be too early for the hype but i already compare his move to AM as the move schumacher made to Ferrari in the 90s. Its all about leadership and making a team push forward at this point of his career.
To me it feels like the entire F1 world and community is AMPED for this. While I am sure he has moments, its hard not to love seeing the old lion roaring again. Lets go Alonso, its time to remind the world age is number, not a limit.
Not to mention, Aston showed the biggest improvement last year. They also have a new car with more room for improvement than the Red Bull, which is more of an evolution and have very limited wind tunnel time. The Red Bull will improve, but not by much. Alonso will be in the title fight, don't listen to the experts on TV, they can't accept anyone but a Red Bull, Ferrari (for some reason) or Mercedes can win.

Alonso is incredibly underrated and I think it’s criminal when people say Hamilton thrashed him in 2007, people who say that clearly doesn’t know the meaning of trash, both scored 109 points each, won the exact same number of races and scored the exact same number of podium’s. That’s not a trashing at all, well now they have the exact same engine with the same power and Fernando beat Lewis fair and square

As an Aston Martin fan since 2021, this is reinvigorating my excitement for Formula 1. I wasn't sure how many of the races I would actually want to catch this year, but now I know it's all of them.
