I never thought I would ever hear anyone play these Mahler 5 excerpts even half as well as the great Bud Hearseth. I definitely thought wrong! Alexander Kirn clearly can play this part as well as, if not better than any of the legends though. His articulation, Tempo, and over all control are second to none. Very well done! Bravo!
Comments on tempo are totally useless as this was the conductor's choice. So please be respectful, not everything in an orchestra is how the musician wanted to play it. Also please be nice to people how aren't alive yet and did an amazing job in the past. Its mire easy to play better than the generation before when you have the fundament of the generation before...... So please no bad talking about herseth and all the other greats
Thanks for clearify. It was an overall comment, not particularly meaning your comment. Its allowed to discuss things and to have different opinions. Just be respectful and honor the great players of today and from the past
Great until the trombone was out of tune! Reference this tempo to the old NY phil recording with Bruno Walter and William Vacchiano on trumpet. No one knew Mahler's intentions as well as Walter.
Best?! Hardly. Could be just a bit cleaner. Too bad the conductor wanted it so fast. Double tonging loses the effect of pulling listeners in because it sounds rushed. It doesn’t sound dramatic . Also, the section tonging doesn’t match up. Not your fault. Keep working on it.
Bravo! Such clean articulation and rubato through the phrases. Well done
a bit faster than i've heard before but still outstanding playing! who is this guy?
His name is Alexander Kirn! Belive me, it was unbelievably played live!
Very clear.
Great techniques.

Dennis Pete never listened Gábor Tarkövi?
44 Magnum neither Phil Smith
I could name more than 10 people who play this better than herseth. Just listen to Gabor Tarkövi or Guillaume Jehl they are so much better
You should check gewandhaus Mahler 5 for me it’s the best
Maurace Murphy was incomparable
And played on a rotary value trumpet as well. BRAVO
Wonderful!
superb!
@dylan Soriano I think that may have been the conductors choice on how he wanted it played
Addison Poor no, he came to rehearsal and gave me an upbeat, and I took what came out 😊
@@alexanderkirn7600 I love Mahler and I love the way you played it 🤩

No one was being disrespectful and of course it the conductor who set the tempo. No one is blaming the trumpet player who played superb.

Really good but too fast a little bit
Just blew my wad
A little fast for me. Great playing though. It should have an edge of sadness to it.
A bit frantic. Good sound though. Check out Phil Smith’s ruclips.net/video/f8Bg-4opNSs/видео.html
Yes, could be conductor’s request.
Great articulation but it doesn’t bring out the meaning of the piece
I kind had of disagree a little fast
A bit fast
tuba was SHARP!!!
Not Tuba.... Basstrombone
LOL the classic "that was ok right?" (to the 2nd chair) Trumpet players always searching for praise..... smh
That’s a little fast
The New Era Of Music that’s the way it’s meant to be played
@@user-rn1lb8sx2c no it's not
I completely agree... it was clean, but it’s supposed to be a funeral

“migliore” per voi😂😂 fa cagare! non c’è interpretazione 🤦🏻
Alittle bit of more vibrato
No vibrato, it’s a German piece
