    The music in this recording has actually been performed by a plant, Anthurium (anthurium andreanum), thanks to a specific electronic device. Plants emit signals in reaction to external stimuli and to communicate with everything. These signals are detectable as variations in the bio-electrical field of the plant and can be converted into a MIDI signal (Musical Instruments Digital Interface). I sent this MIDI signal into a synthesizer and programmed a soft, soothing sound tuned at 432 Hz. After some time being connected to such device and producing sounds, plants seem to become aware of the process; they seem to understand that those sounds are coming from them...
    and they start playing with it.
    Hope you'll enjoy :-)

    we're at the cusp of great discoveries into the workings of the subtle dimensions of reality.
    in former years, the thought that plants can make music would be unthinkable to the common soul but the Bible confirms that so called lifeless objects such as stars sing.
    we live in interesting times.

    Wonderful work you are doing with the "music of the plants". It is touching my heart. I love music and I love plants, and you are bringing both together. It's very good that you are not combining it with the sound of real instruments. So you are giving the plants their own "singing voice".

    😊😄😊😆😊 Cool! I had to bring my potted plants in from the cold weather. Now, they've died back a little leaves some of them, I think they're kind of going dormant during the cold weather....but I wonder what sounds they make being inside compared to being outside all Spring and Summer and they grew very much! I saw a PBS SHOW ON NOVA years ago where a man was showing that trees "talked." When he would put a chainsaw near a tree, it would make a sound like it was screaming! And when he moved it away from the tree, the trees "screaming" sound went down a lot. It kind of bothered me because I think plants have feelings. I hope they aren't hurting much when I clipped the dead and yellowed leaves off of them. 🤔😐😯😲😫😮

    Just a question, these aren't actual sounds from the plant right? The machine reads electrical impulses from the plant and converts that into an input for a preset instrument, so technically its just a plant playing a musical instrument and you could switch that instrument for another if you wanted to such as clarinet or flute or whatever else you prefer

    Well... I guess communication is not only about spoken language. It happens on many levels. Some people understand, some people do not.
    The plant has been physically connected to an electronic device that can translate the bio-electrical activity into MIDI. Thus the sounds comes frome a synthesiser that has been "played" by a plant.
    I suggest you this documentary to get an understanding:

    Dear Augustine, I had a look at your website and info and I find your work vey interesting and inspiring. I cannot tell you so many techincal details about the device I have used as I am not much of a technician... more an artist and musician. There are two electrodes, one goes on the plant (on a leaf) and the other in the soil around the plant. What I now is that it catches some kind of modulation in the energy field of the plant, some kind of bio-chemical response.

    I'm not saying this is fake, but im just curious how you said they start "playing" with it. I understand how plants can be aware of their surroundings, but actually playing with it like sounds like something someone does for fun, which I'm sure plants cannot feel. Or am I wrong? Can a plant have fun which is what I'm assuming you mean by "playing" Please someone answer this for me.

    • @Musicoftheplants
      @Musicoftheplants 9 лет назад +1

      whathell97 Our apologies for not seeing this comment earlier. The "playing" in this case refers to the plants playing with a Music of the Plants device. It is a musical instrument that plants can play, using their electrical impulses. You can see more videos and get more information on our RUclips channel. Let us know if you have more questions.

    what do you mean a plant did this? the sounds came from a plant and someone remixed it to a song?
    also "Plants emit signals in reaction to external stimuli and to communicate with everything"
    why communicate when noone understands you?

  • @tron-8140
    @tron-8140 9 лет назад +3

    So silly, the plant is not making these sounds, or influencing any part of the music.
    The waves the plant releases are a trigger to play the song
    The song is allready there, the stumili from the plant is what is playing the notes.
    I could make the ocean play this song, set up a machine next to the ocean where each time a wave comes a buoyant mechanical arm would lift press a button that plays the next note in the song. As each wave passes the next note would be played.

    Not good to write long mess here :-) anyway, it is not the normal bio activity of the plant, it s something else, something that has to do with how they communicate.
