Good analysis, thanks for this! Don't forget to mention the 'Stone' singing. Like lyrium, and the Profane from Dragon Age 2. So those 'dwaves' probably can still hear the stone sing, or in this case, are listening to that Profane Lyrium entity.
So this video was linked on Reddit, specifically r/dragonage. I watched this video and loved it, which prompted me to watch your other theory videos. Before I knew it, my afternoon was gone because I spent it binge watching your DA theory videos. These are awesome! You explain the lore so well! I'd love to see more! Subscribed!
We're going awefully deep under Thedas. Perhaps we'll cross paths with a dormant/sleeping old God? I hope you'll be streaming the dlc on release btw! There's nothing that compares to your 1st time through.
elk wayward That would be AWESOME and CRAZY!!! I hope so! It reminds me of that Ancient Warden logbook in the Western Approach about looking for an Archdemon down there. THe landmark also said the ground trembles slightly underfoot. I wonder if that's where we're going?? Were you the one on my twitch chat yesterday?? :D I don't think I'll be streaming, because I have trouble concentrating on too many things at once (thanks, ADHD lol), but I think Lady Insanity said she was going to! www.twitch.tv/ladyinsanity I may stream it after I have played through once, even though yes, you're totally right that nothing compares to the first time! Thanks for watching!
I just found your channel. The content is great. Subscribed. I believe that we will get some revelations about lyrium and how it is alive, something about Kal-Sharok dwarves and the Titans. I would love to meet Sandal in this DLC as well, if that is possible. By the way, I would like to direct your attention to something I saw about Lyrium. Here is what the Codex says about it. Lyrium is the king of metals. Beneath our feet, it sings. When properly refined, it is a smooth, slightly iridescent, silvery liquid." -Codex, Lyrium "A hundred chosen acolytes brought lyrium Enough to drown a city in chiming silver" -Chant of Light, Silence 2:2 Is it just me or is Lyrium very much like the element mercury (Hg) ? The effects of Lyrium poisoning is somewhat similar to the effects of mercury poisoning. Lyrium-touched dwarves seem to share quite a bit in common with real-world Mad Hatter disease: the memory problems, the irrational mood swings, and so on. What's more, according to historical records, in the early days, mercury was used to develop the earliest forms of computer storage drives. In Dragon Age, we see the Dwarves use runes and crystals to do store their memories in Lyrium. Another interesting thing concerns the dwarves of Kal-Sharok. In the book Last Flight, the Blight can be drawn from living tissue by another, taking the corruption into themselves. Could the Kal-Sharok dwarves have done the same thing, taking in the taint into themselves to keep the Stone pure and to use lyrium infused armor to mitigate its effects ?
Ishten Yobahtop Hi, I would like to simply ask if you are actually an active member of DAI Bioware forum? Because somebody has exactly the same avatar there ;) If so, I have been stalking you and other people there for months and I appreciate your work with collecting and discussing all the hints in one place, you also seem like very interesting people ^^ Good day to you...even if that's not you, we're all part of the same fandom after all. Unfortunately, I can't be part of the forum as long as my Bioware account remains STOLEN (yep :< ), but I intend to buy DAI again today. I've lost my hope already. Getting your account back is nearly impossible while you have to get through polish customer service :/
Ishten Yobahtop Thank you so much!! :D I never saw the connection between lyrium and mercury before, but I think you're on to something! And I definitely think the Kal Sharok dwarves are doing SOMETHING unusual with the taint for sure. I could definitely see your theory happening and I hope we learn more about it in this DLC! I CANT WAIT!
Hekate Bleble I need to check out BSN more. It just moves so fast for me, I can't keep up! lol I can't believe your account got stolen?! That's crazy! And that means you have to buy it again??? wow :(
Oh my Gods, I cannot wait! xD Great video again ^^ I hope we'll meet a lot of new dwarves, I like these little guys! :D Maybe Sandal too?! :O And I hope it's Architect down there. I quite liked him too :D
Looking forward to some post-Descent tin-foil time. There seems to be some parallels and connections presented in this DLC: (SPOILERS) 1. both dwarves (at least the sha-brytol) and darkspawn seem to take "orders" as a hivemind from a bigger source (titan or old god/archdemon) through a Song (in the stone) or Calling. 2. Lyrium is titansblood, which explains how lyrium is alive, and seems to imply that magical powers are drawn from blood - normal, titan or darkspawn (in the case of emissaries). Also dragon? 3. Red lyrium means a titan has become blighted. 4. Titans might be the forgotten ones. 5. The guardian (last boss) looks a lot like the stone wraiths from the primeval thaig in DA2. 6. I have also been thinking that maybe the sha-brytol protect the titans from endless streams of darkspawn, and is actually preventing future Blights. 7. Last, this DLC hinted that there exists a first broodmother, and i realized that in JoH Razikale was revealed to be a female, which might mean that one of the magisters was female and is the original broodmother. Unfortunately this DLC raised many more questions than it answered. I wonder how the blight spreads and in what order. How does it all fit? Why do we find lyrium in the fade? How is lyrium connected to the fade?
Dwarves are the only ones who harvest lyrium, i suppose it was a matter of time before they attempted to infuse it with their weapons/armor. Although my theory from the end if the trailer is that the lyrium is sentient. Maybe these are dark spawn, but the lyrium has some connection or hold over them. Or maybe they are simply dwarves who are brain washed..or lyrium washed? I'm sensing the secret is about how much we really dont know about lyrium ;D HYPE! Keep up the vids!
+girltriesgames please continue these videos. Especially now that I'm sure you've played Tresspasser. You do this soooo well. Please, please continue these videos with theories about the Elvhen, Dwarves, Titans, Forgotten ones. Your theories are almost always perfect. Please make more. Big fan here!
Was that the architect or an emissary possible arcane horror? OMG! I didn't see any grey wardens in the trailer! Did you notice the darkspawn Eyes was kind of red! Red lyrium? And the genlocks looks like them in the legacy dlc! 11 aug can't wait! I Think i call my self sick the rest of the week after 11 aug! Lol
Thedeepseanomad I started Witcher 1 awhile ago after you recommended it (so long ago!), but I never got very far. Now people are telling me to skip it and start with 2! What do you think?
Yeah, perhaps. I mean, I know it has aged a lot. There is a story summary in Witcher 2 so you could start there. (also on youtube of course) An amazing but pretty hard game!
Good analysis, thanks for this!

***** Definitely! Could they be its "witless, soulless workers?" I can't wait to find out more!
The Descent and Trespasser had MANY answers. They are both must buy DLCs.
I just watched this a week after the DLC dropped. Your analysis was very sharp.

+girltriesgames TOTALLY! XD
You're 100% right!
It's amazing how much you know the lore.
I think Bioware should just hire you and get it over with.
