I'd never watched an Onsta stream before except indirectly through SSS, yet the RUclips algorithm deemed this stream of such monumental importance that it pushed her side of it right to my front page (she posted the VOD last week).
I watched Onstas vod of this stream already (bc she moves ungodly fast on uploading things skdhglsdhg) but im having a blast catching the SSS specific parts of it. Doig silenced mode was pretty funny from Jacobs POV.
the worst parts of watching VoDs of games like thsi is when u know the mechanics enough to know when theyre making a Bad Decision but u cant say anything to help so u just have to watch them make the bad decision over and over until they figure it out the way u did. which u only find painful because u remember how annoyed u felt when u figured it out hfgjdkgfd doig's "i landed square on the platform" while clearly just missing the jump was SO funny fghdjgfd mood, brother
DISCWORLD! Love it. If you are new and wanna dip into it i would NOT recommend starting at the beginning. The first two have good bits but are quite rough, could put off a first time reader. I always suggest people start with MORT. It's pretty self contained (there's practically no characters from previous books you should know about) And one of the main characters is DEATH and he is just a peach. Small Gods is also a personal favourite.
With all the craziness of the world feeling like it's happening all at once today, I'm glad we still have the Drawfee crew making us smile by playing games with friends 🥰

i’m so glad doig likes discworld, i hope jacob is convinced to read some! my favourites are the ones about the witches - which i think Julia would love actually (the first one of that series is called Equal Rites). i find the rincewind ones (the first couple) a bit harder to get into and i recommend picking one of the series and reading that instead of reading them in order of release. i also love the night watch and moist von lipwig series.

I missed this stream because ya'll said 10am and forgot about the time difference since I'm on the west coast and woke up at 10am. Which is both funny and kinda sad. lol
discworld is my favorite series (i have two whole ass discworld tattoos) and for anyone interested there are two or three main subseries that all focus on different characters and different aspects of fantasy/satire. i personally love Sam Vimes (crime solving in a fantasy city, often some political intrigue) so i'd recommend starting with Guards! Guards!, but the witch subseries (psychology, gender roles, folklore) starts with Equal Rites and the death subseries (philosophy, mythos, the grim reaper is a real guy and his granddaughter is so cool) starts with Mort. i kinda hate rincewind so i ignore the colour of magic and pretend i do not see it lmao + there's several standalones, including my favorite, Small Gods. but also imo there's no harm in just picking up a discworld book and trying it because i read them all out of order and still loved them so :) sorry something i love was mentioned in a vod so i had to talk about it a little too much
For me it's the Same Vimes and Tiffany Aching ones I come back to the most (But also I'm Aussie so I do enjoy the one Rincewind one where he goes to XXXX)
