For me, The Weeknd is the artist of a lifetime. Without a doubt, my favorite singer ever. He has something for me no matter what mood I'm in. When I'm down, I put Abel on and I listen to his lyrics and they hit deep. His music has an impact on everyone, but especially those who really listen to what he's saying, and can identify with it. When you go through shit, and life gets fucked up, his music is there for you. Like a friend who's never going anywhere, and who you can count on to console you, give you advice, or pick you back up. I know he's just a guy and his music is played by billions, but when you listen to him enough, so much that you know all the words to all his songs, so much that you can feel his emotions through his music, it hits different,
Agreed brother! At his early stage I was literally ONLY listening to The Weeknd. I was like how can I listen to anything else when this amazing artist exist!
No matter how long I've been a fan I always come back here to reminisce. I first heard the Weeknd on an old friend's snapchat story in 2013. I was so captured by his airy falsetto and harsh brassy notes, he has a very distinctive style. Almost a decade later I remain enthralled by him and his evolution and how he decides to "reinvent" himself by giving us different eras/chapters while still remaining true to himself. I'm so proud of how far he's come, and everything he's been able to accomplish. He's so devoted to his art and making sure he's consistently creating and releasing quality material. I guess what I'm trying to say is, "If it ain't XO then it gotta go". Thank you for all of your hard work Abel! Sending so much love! xo
Gosh he just looks like a little sweet heart. Great fucking song. He's very theatrical, i love how his songs tell a story, i love that he gets so passionate
the thing I love about The Weeknd is that he is naturally talented and he puts his emotion in every song. Dropping out of high school was the best thing he ever did. I've been a fan since he was mysterious artist releasing music online and hoping someone would hear it and I did and im thankful that I found him. im thankful I could have his as a secret of mine before he became famous :)

My heart just stopped right now. This is a pure beauty.. Abel has a unique natural angel voice that not very much people have.. A legend is born. I will remember you Abel ! XO
D Lo Some people don't see the sadness, not just in the lyrics but in the effects that Abel puts on his voice. They're so cold and static, yet it's beautiful too. It's like you can see a different side of every song, and I have to say that I know it's no accident. His voice is so concrete; it really grounds the songs and solidifies the lyrics at the same time. See, I said that as a response to all of the fans who say that Kiss Land isn't sad because the beats aren't as depressing. I find Kiss Land even more depressing just based on the fact that instead of spending so much time making edgy beats that sound sad, he spent time crafting the perfect effects to place on his voice, so you feel the man in the lyrics being sad, and not the occasion or the song itself.
Dawn fm has shades of Kissland imo, they’re both conceptual albums who follow a specific soundscape with vocal and instrumental experimentation while staying true to the core of what he is as a musician at the time of each one, but ofc nothing is on the level of kissland.

[Part 1: Belong To The World]
[Verse 1]
I know you want your money
'Cause you do this every day
The way you doubt your feelings
And look the other way
Well, it's something I relate to
Your gift of nonchalance
But nobody's ever made me fall in love
With this amount of touch, well
[Pre-Chorus]
I'm not a fool
I just love that you're dead inside
I'm not a fool, babe
I'm just lifeless too
But you taught me how to feel
When nobody ever would
And you taught me how to love
When nobody ever could
[Chorus]
Ooh girl, I know I should leave you
And learn to mistreat you
'Cause you belong to the world (oh yeah)
And ooh girl, I wanna embrace you
Domesticate you
But you belong to the world
You belong to the world
[Verse 2]
And I know that I'm saying too much
Even though I'd rather hold my tongue, yeah
And I'll pull you closer holding on to
Every moment 'til my time is done, babe
And this ain't right, you've been the only one to make me smile
In so long, I've succumbed to what I've become, hey
[Pre-Chorus]
I'm not a fool, baby
I just love that you're dead inside
I'm not a fool, girl
I'm just lifeless too
But you taught me how to feel
When nobody ever would
And you taught me how to love
When nobody ever could, ohh
[Chorus]
Well ooh girl, I know I should leave you
And learn to mistreat you, girl
'Cause you belong to the world (Ooh yeah)
And ooh girl, I wanna embrace you
Domesticate you
But you belong to the world
You belong to the world
[Part 2: The Town]
[Intro: The Weeknd & (Patrick Greenaway)]
Is that The Town, right?
(Yea)
Oo-oo-ooh
Oh, oh
[Hook]
You did many things
That I liked, that I liked
And you like diamond rings
I can provide, I can provide for you
You made me feel so good
Before I left
On the road
And you deserve your name
On a crown, on a throne
[Verse 1]
I haven't been around my town in a long while
I apologize, but I
I've been trying to get this money like I got a couple kids who rely
On me
But I remember on the bathroom floor
'Fore I went on tour
Like you said we couldn't do it again
Cause you had a thing with some other man
You said it was love
And you said you were lost
Then you wished me good luck
To find somebody to love
Oh, baby, oh-h
But, oooh
Now I've heard that you're single
And uh huh, I'll give you something to live for, oh
Yes, I will, oh
Yes, I will, oh-h-h
Yes, I will
[Verse 2]
(Honey, honey, honey, honey, honey, honey, honey, honey)
Honey, please
You never thought you'd ever see my face again
But your love just swayed the lies
When he stared into your eyes
He just might be too good for you, oh
You're almost dead to him
You're sleeping with a frozen heart
Well baby girl it's over now
And you can always count on me, oh-h
Your unshackled boy, unrestrained to touch
So immune to love
And it feels so priceless to me, oh
That you're always free
That you'll take me in
Now I'm everything, your everything
Ooh, oh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
I know you'll take me in
Yes
Thanks

TWINSBEMAKKIN Aww, so true 😌

TWINSBEMAKKIN or they fade back in
I’ve been hooked to this nigga since 2010 when House of Balloons mixtape dropped. I knew INSTANTLY he was a legend in the making. His shit was always super different but addicting. He opens the book on those demons that you have to close to survive. He has kept me ALIVE. No doubt. 2020 I’m still here!! XOTIOD!! ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
Fully agree and if you go through my RUclips and phone I’ve had his music since 2010 as well! Love that mate! Gutted his new stuff ain’t like this no more. But in rolling stone he admits he will be different and hopes we still listen!
@@jlpurkiss13 his old music such as Friday isn’t as good as his new stuff like blinding lights and star boy
@@nicholasingall5413 because you prefer mainstream
@@jlpurkiss13 what dus mainstream mean ? I prefer good music
@@nicholasingall5413 so many artists such as: Ed sheeran, The Weeknd, mk and drake had better and their own style
Of music then when they made it had to change to suit radio and mainstream to a bigger audience…
His voice makes me want to cry, sleep and have sex at the same time.
Lmfaoo Legit
You ain't never lie
You mean you would, Cry while sexin, then go ta sleep huh...
😂😂😂
RedRanger Ryu 1010 nope she would be crying in her sleep while having sex.

I love all his music, but I have to say Kissland album hits different, such a classic, so much depth to each song, simply put, a masterpiece!
It’s always the forgotten masterpiece 😭
Kiss Land is definitely the underrated album I have ever heard in my life.
My heart just stopped right now. This is a pure beauty.. Abel has a unique natural angel voice that not very much people have.. A legend is born. I will remember you Abel ! XO
+BFamous94 SO TRUE ABEL IS A GENIUS
Yeah no doubt :)
I can't believe people slept on him for this long.
+Isaiah Watson House of Balloons is a classic. He's had a big fanbase for a while.
jus like they sleeping on me
A original is the noise unreleased
His MOST underrated song is The Morning hands down
+Isaiah Watson nah kissland or twenty eight
This is still top 50 acoustic performances of all time and this was a warm up. I thank the Heavenly Father for my ears. Been on this since pre 100k
Omg he needs to make an acoustic album this is soooo good!!! Love him XO
My heart wouldn't be able to handle that..That would make my entire life.
That would be epic
Kissland is such an intense Album, every song is a story just Masterpiece
Agreed. Underrated album
man the weeknd has such a beautiful voice
The Weeknd's warmups go harder than some artist actual concert
oh ok
@@rawr419 ita true
and his concerts go harder than this
Just saw him live, vocals still don’t disappoint
We need videos like this back
I have so much love for this man it's unreal. Kissland matters too. XOTWOD
All fucken day xo
xo
xo to the death 👄💞
I was really feelin Kiss Land tbh, people gave him crap for it because it wasn't the trilogy but to me it was still the real honest The Weeknd
Yes!!! So much respect and love for able! XOTWOD!
Kissland has to be the best album he has given
Supa Strikas nah the trilogy is the shit
Nikol G trilogy one of the best albums of the 2010s
it was my fav for sure kissland don't get enough love
Yuneesh Pandian kissland is def number 1 for me. I can’t believe how underrated it is.
kissland>>>>>>>>>trilogy
Been a fan since his first album. His music speaks truth via relationship, heartbreak, and life. I love his music and voice.
5:11 - 5:30 his falsetto is out of this world
I literally watch this weekly. His voice is so beautiful and sensual. I like this acoustic version better than the studio versions. ❤️
5 years later and still gives me the goosebumps
This just touches the soul.... You taught me how love.... I can relate to so many of his tracks
Who’s here in 2020 rewatching this for the millionth time. XOTWOD
ME!!!!
ME TOOO
I sleep to this song every night, it calms me.
Alex Hitaj me too xoxo
Name of first song?
We really need another one of these acoustic warm ups
enrique buendiaz nothing without you was the last he did
This kid is the best singer I've ever heard gets you in your feelings so easily
exactly , you can be happy and turn you sad in a snap
What an amazing voice. I really hope he comes to Arizona again soon. So sad that I missed him last year.
He is EVERYTHING. Nothing could ever compare to this mans talent. Kissland doesn't get the credit it deserves in my opinion. XOTWOD
It disappoints me that so many people don't understand Kiss Land.
What do you mean?
Agree 100%.
It's a story of the trouble of him and his girl. All the songs are basically placed perfectly through out the whole album. Dope indeed.
Matthew Gonzales aww wow, I have yet to listen to it from beginning to end but will remember this and pay particular attention, thank you
This is probably the most beautiful things I've ever seen ;3
this album was so fire, wish he made another album similar to kissland. After hours is fire too
After hours is ok tbh but imo kids land was his last good album before he started slowing getting bad
@@candycrush3932every album by the weeknd has its own beauty ...nowhere in his career he goes bad
Dawn fm has shades of Kissland imo, they’re both conceptual albums who follow a specific soundscape with vocal and instrumental experimentation while staying true to the core of what he is as a musician at the time of each one, but ofc nothing is on the level of kissland.
i've been waiting for his acoustics for soooo long ahhhh not a bit disappointed
I Remember when I was back in 7th grade 9 years ago. Heard my first song from him “wicked games” backed in 2011. Till now his my favorite artist, TRILOGY always hits in a different level. XOTWOD!
So much emotion in his voice in the town! Speechless! XOTWOD
I always come back to this video like it was just posted 😭
Me too
He has such raw talent, I'd kill to see him live.
He sounds just like that live
Saw him live it was a dream 😭
Gosh he sounds so heavenly in vocal warm up. Hope and pray to meet him. He seems shy and sweet.
God he's so damn amazing. One of the strongest, natural, angelic voice of all time.
i cry hysterically to this
this man put his entire soul into this album unlike anything i’ve ever listened to . he’s truly irreplaceable
and people say he auto tunes. ok.
I like turtles too It's okay you can have two cats.
AllHail Fleezus rt though
He does, doesn't mean he can't sing. There's auto tune in his songs.
He does. That doesn't mean he's bad. People need to learn wtf autotune actually is.
Ari Robinson auto tune is like a microphone, its just an extension, as long as you know how to be original with it youre an artist
It's insane how no matter what he did, he would always end up making it, there's no way this voice would go unheard
the town was insane with the 'honey honey honey honey honey pleasseeee"
This literally never gets old 😭🖤 XO for life
It's 2019.im still here😂😂❣️❣️❣️
