V35 Project / Canon Rangefinder - Overview

The edges of these lenses look more in focus on the trees than the center to me. Like a kind of inverse falloff or deeper depth of field. I assume the focal plane curves backwards at the edges so the trees are sharper, rather than forwards which would make them softer? Just a hunch.

Yup. This is present in the 35mm rangefinder as well that we wanted to duplicate. And def the trees and background exaggerate that.
