This saved me so much trouble. I had the exact same issue except my pressure is well over 100 psi. Easy work around! Thanks for taking the time to share your insight.
I’ve had this same issue with about 4 different riveters. I concluded that my air compressor wasn’t good enough, went out and bought a new one, and I’m having the same issue @ 120 PSI. I’ve even cranked it to 150 without luck
This might be a fix, because it worked for me. Keep in mind though, I say MIGHT be a fix because I am not doing thousands of rivets, I've done like 20. Anyways, I took off the nozzle, and there are two nuts you can move. One is to remove the jaws, and then the other one. I think the other one is like a stopping gauge or something. I loosened the stopping gauge nut some, and then tightened the jaw nut up against it, and that solved the problem.
Hi, I have same problem with my new 18volt Bosch riveter.Would a light spray through the nose, with silicone spray help? This is before I remove the nose piece. Or would lube be count to it wanting to grip. I made a similar mistake once , when I sprayed a small amount in the nose of my 18v finish nail gun. ( never again). It needed the grip, not the oil.
I tried adding some pneumatic air tool oil to the tip of it. Didn’t seem to help much. I’m pretty sure the issue is lack of air pressure. Either way, I was able to finish out the job using that trick I mentioned. Hope that helps!

@@madisonbusman7688 glad I could help man ❤️
Thanks, this helped me confirm that my air compressor was not good enough...and you gave the work around until the new one arrives!
@@IwatchFilm glad it could help in the meantime 🙏🏼
