- Setting up a paradise vivarium for our Fijian Banded Iguana, Totoka. This massive 280 gallon enclosure will be ready for our iguana in the near future, make sure you look out for that video! Iguanas are not a beginner pet and should not be treated as so, they get large and can be aggressive. Please do proper research before purchasing any species of iguana. Links 👇

I only just started following you, Mike, and I gotta say I'm so impressed with your knowledge, dedication and skill with building this vivarium and just generally keeping the Fiji's. You're doing an amazing job, dude. Very inspiring.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed, and I appreciate the kind words!
I’ve been watching him for like 10 years and he is very good and entertains! Thanks Mike
Thanks so much! You have been around a long time!
That background is insane! y’all never fail to make great build!
Thanks Tyler! It is so epic!
Boy, if Totoka could talk, he's gotta love his new home 😍
He isn't in there yet, but we have thrown him in a few times during construction just to see him run around a little!
That wood stain is gorgeous, aww I was hoping to see Tatoka enjoy it! Next time? Thx Mike!
He will be moving into the new tank in a couple months haha.
@@MikeTytula How can I buy one of these Iguanas info please
wow!! so nice to see an animal so often neglected get such a nice set up!!
Fijis are rarely neglected haha. Green iguanas definitely get neglected more frequently than not.
I thought this was serpa design. Love this so relaxing and knowing your a great pet owner
Haha thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video
This is an awesome enclosure
Thanks so much! They are doing so well!
Perfect terrarium!

I LOVE your Fiji Banded Iguana. 😍 Such a gorgeous new vivarium for him too.
Thanks! We love him so much! Can't wait for him to move in!
Beautiful vivarium for a beautiful iguana. Excellent job, Mike!
Ayyy Nice to see you comment again!
Looking great Mike.
Thanks John!
Always a pleasure to watch your builds Mike 😍keep em coming
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Very cool 😎
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed!
Mate killer build looks awesome
Thanks so much Dean!
I think some epiphitic plants like air plants or bromeliads mounted on the background and wood would look really good and he’ll fill in the middle section!
I would love to add epiphytic plants, but I know that he would rip them off the wall, so we'll have to wait for the grasses and such to grow up and fill in!
So badass
Thanks Victor!
Looks good! I really wish we could keep Brachylophus here…
Thanks Oscar! They are an incredible species!
Let’s go mike!
hahah thanks! Finally got this done!
Nice man looks great
Thanks Seth!
Love this!! Can you give me more info on the background? What was the sand looking stuff you used after it was cut?
It's a universal Rock background, and those are the colorants they use to color the rock, it just helps hide things when blended and applied with silicone
Would love to use some universal rock but it’s pretty pricey for me. Maybe someday
DEfinitely pricey indeed!
Great setup bro I’m sure the iguana will enjoy it! You should get a mangrove monitor next
Hahah no Mangrove monitors for me!
@@MikeTytula why?
@@MikeTytula can you also make a video on how to raise humidity for larger animals and enclosures like retics and monitors will appreciate bro
Just not something that I want to take on ATM
Hi Mike, quick question you originally had 2 lamps on the glass enclosure and you gone down to 1 in this one and you said about dropping to a 50w so my question is what was the 50w bulb you changed too as you didn't say in the video and is that all you used in this enclosure. I only ask as I'm researching for possibly getting one and yours was pretty much the only videos that came up. I'd be grateful if you could get back to me regarding the heating
The reason we went to only one is because this enclosure has much better insulation so with two bulbs it would have gotten too hot in the enclosure for him. The one in this enclosure is actually a 75W halogen bulb by arcadia that is controlled by a dimmer.
No drainage layer? Will that not cause the plants problems? Root rot or whatever. I dunno, I'm shit at keeping plants alive in my vivariums. Brilliant at house plants, stick them in a glass box and I have the touch of death. And that's with a drainage layer! I'd love to have seen you introduce Takota into his new home :)
He will be getting introduced in the near future (probably a month or two). Just gotta let the tank grow in! Hoping that he wont need a drainage layer
Sweeet!!!
Thanks so much! Hope you enjoyed!
That shit would be hell to clean
Worst case, I can power wash it haha
Why did you make a CAVE enclosure for a Fiji iguana?
It’s functional area for him to use, it’s durable and it looks awesome.
It looks nice but there is zero ventilation
Correct, we have the doors cracked all day, and will be drilling a hole for a circulation fan.
What is that background made of? Lightweight?
It’s universal rock
god damn i wish i could live there
Hahaha it was very comfortable!
Awesome vid! Where do you get the powder “dye” from that you used? Can’t wait to see your iguana in here!
You can buy it directly from universal rock (at least I did)
I need one
They are incredible!
Awesome pets animals reptiles. 2022
Thanks so much Peter!
What kind of dye was that? Some kind of powder?
Ya I haven't been able to find in Canada, but you can buy it directly from Universal rock.
You in toronto Canada
Yes sir
Can green iguanas eat eggplant 🍆?
Not sure, you'll have to research that
