    In this video I install the first window in my Lord of The Rings, Middle Earth inspired Hobbit Hole. The window trim is cut from a cedar tree out of the forest the Hobbit Hole is being built in.

    70 years ago we built hidden forts in the woods. The best was one with two floors. We had no idea who's property it was and we didn't care. Our fathers were too busy making a living to indulge us!

    I rarely comment on videos but I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed yours. Apart from the exquisite craftsmanship on the window build and install the videography was also beautifully shot. Well done my friend, I’ll definitely be watching all your content.

    Your attention to detail coupled with your amazing skills has created this little gem. I think it would take a "Bunker Buster" bomb to get through. Fabulous work. Congratulations from Australia.

    Aw man, after a few cans of spray foam, it's totally worth it to get the "pro" gun. The cans get cheaper, and you can re-use them for a month.
    Edit: Nevermind, looks like you figured that out in video 20. :-)

    Hi, just curious of the paint, taping etc. what product is this, could you give a bit of detail, what's the purpose of the painting? thanks.

      It's a silicone masonry waterproofing paint. Aims is the brand, I believe. I'm going to stucco the face of the block, but moisture will still get behind it. The silicone will keep water from entering the building.

    Are concrete blocks better then clay blocks? Or only used on ground floor?

    • @Odd-Lots
      @Odd-Lots  3 месяца назад

      I actually don't know the answer to this. Clay block is not readily available where I live and seldom used. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

    Watching this with my partner as our peace for the day :). He's dad passed away a year or so ago. These videos always get us talking about the things our Dads would build for us. Think they make him feel a bit more connected to his dads memeory. Thank you for giving him that. Sending kindness to you and your family.
