My cat Neil is very handsy, he will come bounding over, grab my hand with both if his hands and force me to pet his head 😂🥰🥰. He's also always showing me things that he wants or is curious about by tapping on it or next to it with his little feets. If his dry food bowl isn't full enough he will smack it with his feet while expectantly watching me. He also loves to cuddle while we watch TV before bed...so after I take my bed time shower I will do my skincare and make my way to the bedroom, and he's waiting lol. Sometimes on the TV stand tapping his foot on the TV screen or remote staring at me and meowing, or on the bed tapping the pillow doing the same thing 🥹🥹. So freaking adorable.

My response to my parents was: "This asshole has been deliberately trying to make my life miserable, I don't care how old you are, how much you think you're right, I'd rather die than hug that asshole. @kathleen5296 I've raised cats for nearly 60 years and it's quite hard to explain other than you just pick up on things after you've had so many experiences. Obviously I could be completely wrong because im not basing this on scientific tests like bloodwork etc. His second or third eyelids, depending on how you count them are slightly over his eyes which can be a sign of infection or something else making them not feel their best. There's nothing else scientific that I can divulge. There's a certain look in the eyes that i don't even know how to describe. All i know is over the years I've had feelings about seemingly healthy looking cats, even young ones and when I've taken them to the vets and they've done tests I've been right. I've always been very in tune with cats and when i was a kid my friends would say i could get any cat to come to me. The beautiful Siamese in my profile pic lived to age 18. Casper was 17 in this pic and his eyes had the look. He was my soulcat and I grieved more for him than I have for any other being throughout my life. And all the more now realize how codependent they are and will literally whine and bark when away from someone. But then some dogs do that because people teach them to be codependent and want to train them to be around them 24/07 ( not counting people who are blind or have seizures and classic reasons back in the day where assistant dogs were truly needed ) There can be some codependent cats as well, but I rather a codependent cat than dog. But I love that most cats enjoy their space at times and lets you have yours.

Yup I met a ginger when I moved here. I know who his Dad is now but I still see him, give him scritches, sometimes a hug and treats. But i have my own kitten now so can't have him in so much. Plus he's rather demanding but I love the guy. He's greeted me outside our alley when I come home or been to the shops.

Hmmmmm. Lets think about this. Cats don't help clean up around the house. They don't and can't be made to buy things like food or help with the rent. Unless they are trained to go outside all the time, someone has to deal with their bio-waste. Usually we don't have to tell people to stay out of things. We usually don't have to worry about stepping on their tails. While cats DO have their charm and advantages, I can't say I would prefer living with them over an human.

Hmmmmm. Lets think about this. Cats don't help clean up around the house. They don't and can't be made to buy things like food or help with the rent. Unless they are trained to go outside all the time, someone has to deal with their bio-waste. Usually we don't have to tell people to stay out of things. We usually don't have to worry about stepping on their tails.
While cats DO have their charm and advantages, I can't say I would prefer living with them over an human.
