Firstly, “black” isn’t a race it’s a phenotype. Secondly, black people existed in the Americas and various other places on Earth for thousands of years before the trans-Atlantic slave trade began or white people got here. The trans-Atlantic slave trade is highly over-exaggerated and by the current claims of 12,000,000 Africans shipped to the Americas….is logistically impossible to ship that many people on schooners for 350 years straight with a high rate of success. Yes, the slave trade did happen but it did not see the removal of 12 - 15 million West Africans over 350 years, it was closer to about 900,000 - 1,000,000 and that’s the high end of the estimation.
Most black people don’t even understand that the slave ship drawings were not blueprints, they were late 17th century drawings used to spread propaganda during an election campaign against the southern U.S. states. The European schooner sailing ship wasn’t invented until 1713 and it wasn’t anywhere near large enough to hold hundreds of people at a time! The large cargo slave ships weren’t built until the early 1800’s and they were primarily used for battle during the Barbary wars.
Do you really think a few Europeans could put 1,000 Africans in a windowless holding cell for days and weeks at a time without diseases spreading throughout the entire castle and even to the Europeans? Even by modern standards and regulations, a modern penitentiary is monitored and subject to cleanliness standards to keep staphylococcus infections from breaking out and we still believe 17th century Europeans could pull off mass imprisonment and human cargo shipments that took 6 - 8 weeks….with low enough casualties that shipping slaves was economically viable and better than enslaving the millions of indigenous people who were already there in the Americas?!?! C’mon….! I’m not saying to forget about it or it wasn’t an atrocity-I’m saying it’s not a realistically told story.
Africans had been sailing to the Americas for centuries before Europeans even knew it existed and with modern technology and new advancements in archeology, the ideology of the trans-Atlantic slave trade being the first records of black people in the Americas and only explanation of black people being here….is quickly becoming a ridiculous theory clearly propagated by Europeans and simply believed by colonized blacks who still take it as “education”. It’s what we would call a well-known folklore used to steal the indigenous rights of the Americas from the people who were already here-that’s us along with Mesoamericans and North American natives! There were black indigenous Americans already in the Americas and Caribbean when Europeans first arrived here and we lived primarily in South America! You can look all over the world and find indigenous black people living on every continent and we still believe that the Americas was the exception?!?! Time to put some factual education behind the African slave exaggeration story and learn that 80% of black people in the Americas are not descendants of the trans-Atlantic slave trade!

He's one of the best, but I personally thought he didn't give great balance to the story about African's part in the slave trade. I told him that my studies and research reveals that there was a very small number who did and they were eventually removed from the trading system when: 1) they found out how their people were being treated. 2) the enslavers, enslaved them for fighting back. To understand the slave trade please read the first hand accounts of the slaves who wrote what occurred. Not all slaves were illiterate. But in seeking the truth, realize quickly that many West African tribal chieftains were deeply complicit. Few resisted the White man. Some painful accounts exist. The Slave Narrative of Nicholas Said includes being forced to tote the corpse of dead relatives. Eventually they came to a rest stop. Their captors slaughtered the corpses and ate them in front of them. Said and his relatives were captured and sold by Black Africans. Reparations should include payment from those complicit in capturing our ancestors for the White slaves. Black's in the new world must guard their countries zealously against the continental African's "Brother, Brother" attitude of entitlement to sympathy and assistance from Blacks now in control of former Colonies after gaining citizenship by the whips on the backs of their ancestors sold for the White man's weapons trinkets and RUM. Help whom you can, because Christ died for them too but not because of this "Brother, Brother" rhetoric

Todays my birthday! I've been teaching this information from my history textbook since I joined Facebook in 2010. It was the Congolese in 1482 who made a mistake and befriended the Portuguese who came to the Congo searching for the source of Mansa Musa's fabled gold. The Arab-African slave trade was happening and after adopting christianity and going to Portugal, they invited them to participate in the slave trade as partners in exchange for guns to get more slaves. The Portuguese eventually turned on them and took over the slave trade enslaving the Congolese and the Trans-Atlantic slave trade ensued. Thats why were stuck in Amerikkka.

This was absolutely both shocking, as well as amazing, the things that were done to our ancestors, continue unto this day , not only here ( America), but also in Brazil, in fact the whole world, and just as baffling is the reluctance of the majority of people who are of African descent, either choose to turn the other way, or bury their heads in the sand, and have bought into the notion that , " out of sight , is out of one's mind. " and like the line from that old temptations song goes ," and the beat goes on ", it is very bleak as well as bad for us in the future, I don't think we've realized, nor learned what is really going on to this very day. We all should be determined and or dogged to not only come together, but to circle the wagons if you will, and form a collective w/ one purpose in mind ,that is to go back home ! To be an island or continent to / for ourselves! Thanks to all who've had a hand in making this video, keep up the great work, and to everyone else remember, " The Dream is One , One World Africa , Now and Forever ! " 😎

Such a uncomfortable truth. With all this known, what is owed diaspora? Not one should have to buy land or purchase citizenship.

@Amil Rocker...i agree; in Ghana, free land at Asebu has been allocated to Black diaspora only. again nobody is asked to purchase citizenship. the path for black diaspora to Ghanaian citizenship is however very different from all others. it starts by applying to stay in Ghana at the Ghana embassy in your country thru the 'right of abode'-THE ONLY REASON NEEDED because you are black diaspora descendant of enslaved Africans. you get a visa after satisfying financial etc requirements. its the start. the law is being revised to streamline and make it simple and easier due to lobbying from the African American Association of Ghana. Now the uncomfortable truth - there were inter community, ethnic conflicts, fault lines in Africa b4 the Europeans arrived....they exploited these issues....encouraged deeper faults...so there wasn't a ' one victim and one villain' system related to groups involved in slave trade. all groups where equally victims and villains. reason is, if you raid my community/village today, and sold my people (POWs), tomorrow, i will retaliate, raid and also sell off your people as POW slaves; unfortunately and sadly ...lets understand the emotions at play then...so perhaps those in the diaspora and those on the continent are descendants of both victims and villains/slave raiders to an extent. it was a very complex, sad, bloody, brutal period of our collective history. we have to look beyond, forgive, understand, love and unite. the task is to build (a self reliant) strong group of people who have been oppressed for centuries. there are 16 regions in Ghana. the central region has given the Asebu free land (the cost of 700usd is for survey,planning,indenture-freehold, etc paper work, not cost of land). the eastern region has a community of African American town who dislike 'the spotlight' . i respect that, so no mention of them. the other regions will allocate lands too. its the right thing to do.
