Sizzix Stencil & Stamp Tool - Watch This Before Purchasing!

- This is probably the newest stamping platform on the market, released August last year, it is made by @sizzix and here are my first impressions.
Why did I buy it if I already had a stamp platform? I purchased this so I had a larger stamping area than my current 8x8" platform, especially when it comes to my Pinkfresh Studios stamp sets which are one single large stamp, and I had to place them diagonally in my stamping platform.
Please send me a handmade card, I will send a card I've made to you!

Just got mine today and stamped a 6x6 rubber stamp with no problem. Got a great print.
Great to hear Susan!! Yes, someone had mentioned to me about stamping at the lower portion of the platform if you have a really thick rubber stamp, and I got a great impression too! Check out my video on making a background stamp a focal point… I love this platform more every time I use it!
I'm back in the hobby after ~7 years away. I remember the MISTI was the rising star of stamp platforms, but didn't want to get it. I just got a Tim Holtz platform from the UK. I like it a lot. And with this vid, now I'm tempted to get the Sizzix, too😅---- great demo, thanks so much! 🧡
I also have that one purchased used, I don’t use it in my videos because its not accessible to most people, I also have a used stampin up one, which doesn’t store well but I love that it has two doors so you can do a lot of “production” stamping. A graveyard of stamping platforms. I wouldn’t say no to a MISTI if the price was lower or if it was a gift! But my preference (all three mentioned above) have hinges with a removable door. I like that. Since the sizzix is so big, I can do some fun stamping with it too. I use it with a hero arts heroscape in an upcoming video. Even though I have so many to choose from, I almost always go to the sizzix… I do prefer the sticky grid over magnets, but the good thing is you can add a sticky grid to almost any platform. I just can’t stamp a whole 9x12 of Bristol smooth on most platforms. And shhh… a little birdie told me about something exciting coming. Im taking it with a grain of salt until I see it with my own eyes… but if I didn’t already have it, I think it would soon (if it’s true!).
I am so very grateful you have NO background music. So easy to watch without jangling and clangimg noises. Thank You.
It is so much easier to hear without the music. I sure do appreciate a quiet background. So much noise in the world today. I enjoyed the video, it’s a cool tool.
You are making me very happy I invested in this product. My biggest concern is my vast collection of Tim Holtz stamps BUT I did buy this tool for its stenciling feature as I have a couple of stamping platforms I'm very content with. I've also seen you can use the bottom of the platform so I'll try that out. Off to start experimenting!
I am very happy with this platform! I’m sure you will be too. I recommend picking up a replacement set of sticky sheets (they’re sold in packs of 5) just so that when you do need a replacement it’s already there! I tend to just stick stencils directly to the sticky sheet unless they’re the sizzix ones with built in alignment
I bought myself one a few days ago. I tried layered stamps with the adhesive attachment. A pack of 10 was 6$ I think. I have not tried stamping yet, so I didn’t realize it can be repositioned to stamp each side without moving the paper. I hadn’t read the info sheet fully yet. That’s definitely nifty and already seems like I made the right choice with this stamping platform. About red rubber stamps, I saw a video and she used one but it has to be placed towards the bottom. The top does bend if the stamp is higher. I just found your channel and subscribed. I look forward to seeing more.
Thanks so much for letting me know, I’m glad you learned a trick… I also didn’t review the features in detail… but since I’ve posted this video…. I have a new fave feature of it! And I guess all stamping platforms that can accommodate sticky mats… I can stamp sentiments using tiny strips of paper, which I wouldn’t have been able to do with magnets. Most of my tiny strips come from the waste of stamping sentiments. So excited! Please share what you learn and love! Thanks for subscribing. ❤️
This was pretty neat to see! I can’t saw I’ve heard of this one! Thanks for the demo❤
I’ve known about it for a few months but I agree there hasn’t been much hype… but full size letter stamping… yes please!
I’ve not seen one of these platforms before - it looks pretty awesome. I have the Tim Holtz stamping platform and it’s similar but definitely not as big.
I’m loving it! I stamped every single clearly besotted stamp I got in one go!! On a sheet of 9x12 Bristol smooth
Thank You! Just subscribed.
Thank you for the demo, I too am looking for a larger stamp platform to use with my PF stamps.
I highly recommend it! Someone mentioned that red rubber stamps work just fine in it, just have it farther down from the hinge. I’ve used it many times, and it is my go to. I love that I can remove the stamping platen to then ink blend or stencil without having to remove my paper. My old stamp platform is now mainly for travel, or if I’m mass producing something, just because the corners make alignment very quick (but I still use magnets as well)
Are there refills available for the sticky mat? I expect that over time it will lose its tackiness?
Hi Sharon! Yes, they come in 5 packs - I actually have a video going live in the next few minutes on replacing it. Check it out! You would want the ones that are almost a letter sized sheet. They sell a smaller sticky grid too you can use on the die cutting platforms.

Does the "pressure tool" come with?
The pressure tool I use is from pink fresh studios, but I’ve been using it less with this platform. The “window” is rigid so when you press down on it, I’ve found it does a good job of applying even pressure. Thanks for watching!
My clear stamps do not stay secure to the lid. Any ideas?
Hey Tracy! Make sure your lid has smooth side facing down - if that doesn’t solve it you may need to run your stamps under some water and let them air dry if they’ve lost their stick.
@@makermoose thank you, that totally worked!! I just found out that the gridded side is for red rubber stamps. Who knew, it didn’t say anything about that on the directions.
i have is very good
wait till you get the stamp and spin tool to go with it!
Sizzix has sent me one to play with…. I don’t want to give away how it turns out but… 🥰😍🙃
